As much as I want to love the Westman Atelier Foundation sticks, I have been sorely disappointed more than once with trying to find the right shade (and I have tried many. For reference I'm a neutral beige with light to med tone - Chanel 30, Dior 2.5, Lancôme Beige, Armani Luminous Silk 5.25, Chanticaille Cushion Nude). I've resigned myself that the shade range with this foundation is simply not for me. I have also been disappointed with how the texture of the foundation wears over a couple of hours. On me this foundation tends to develop a greasy-like finish, so overall, this product is a fail for me. However, I find no fault with the blushes, but my favourite Westman Atelier product is the 'Peau de Pêche Super Loaded Tinted Highlighter', which on me adds a soft natural highlight and can do double duty as blush or blush topper for a little bit of subtle glow. I commend you for trying to use the 'Peau de Soleil' as a Bronzer as it's not a subtle colour. I did just purchase the Rendezvous Eye Pods on your recommendation from your pleased reaction to the previous other sets. I think the colours of 'Rendevous' are cool toned and lovely for Autumn, much more subtle than expected. I'm not sure if this is the same with the other sets, but it would be interesting to learn more of your opinion. Your honest reviews are always helpful.
I think our tones are similar, as I switched from Armani 5.0. Have you tried III? Or doing the Westman Atelier video consult, available on their site? My t-zone is oily. The rest of my face is normal, slightly oily. But I don't find these 'greasy' as you did--and I don't use primer. I think the trick is to apply lightly and blend. Hope you try again: love this foundation!
I have the exact same foundation shades as you. I have not found another content creator who has the same shades. Do you know of one? Thank you for your comments about the Westman Atelier foundation Shades, I will give them a miss. It’s hard to find good foundation matches. The new Dior Capture Total serum foundation does not seem to come in 2.5 neutral, at least in the UK. I’m still on the hunt for good matches.
I’m also fair with oily T-zone. I use an SPF50 underneath (Ultraceuticals mattifying) & Westman N in the Centre of my face & III on the outside then blend in. I set with powder. Lasts all day & looks amazing.
I’ve just re-watched your Dior Luminizer review, since I’m ordering it. In the past I’ve used your make up try ons and reviews as a reference, and they’ve worked out amazingly. Keep up with the good work. Thanks for your videos. 🥰
Hey Michelle , great idea re: high light stick as a primer. Having trouble finding a good shade for foundation so I Carry it in my handbag for quick touchups. I actually have ended up using the foundation brush as a one and done cream eyeshadow brush. It just places it perfectly and allows me to blend it out and go. I’ve heard some complaints about the contour stick but I really like it and will often use it as a light contour and a one and done eyeshadow. Lol , Sorry for the long post. Just wanted to share my thoughts. XO, Cowgirl Deb
This is the craziest thing. I bought atelier Ultra foundation pro a long time ago and have never seen anyone else do a full atelier presentation like this. I have shade 4. I appreciate this vid soooooo much bc I paid over $40 for .68 FL ounces😭 but I needed it so bad!! You are my spirit animal. 💕 Love
Sweet Michele, Thank you again for quality, honest content. I know it can be hard to remain honest. I see you and I appreciate you. All the love from Indiana, USA.
Oooh I’ve been waiting for this, thank you for sharing your thoughts with us, Michele. As a cack handed, short sighted woman of a certain age I appreciate these eye pods as I really can’t mess them up because they do only give a wash of colour. Younger people will probably hate them as they aren’t particularly pigmented and some brushes won’t pick up the product very well but on a mature eyelid they are lovely.
I love the concept of Westman Atelier and have the foundation, a couple of blushes and the highlighters. They are just ok on me. I've tried the eye pods but they just disappeared on me after a few hours so returned them. Wish they worked better for me!!!
I have recently discovered your chanel and love it! You are so beautiful and I love your naked skin before applying any makeup, but I also love your makeup. I love the natural look and your graceful aging philosophy. I have watched 6 or 7 of your videos in the past 2 days, but I still have a long way to go until I watch them all. I was just wondering whether you use sunscreen in your skincare routine? And if yes, what is your favorite sunscreen for under makeup? I have tried tens of sunscreens and could not find one that I love yet. When I use natural foundations with lovely ingredients I feel that my sunscreen is "perverting" or spoiling them. I tried many mineral and chemical sunscreens in a wide range of prices. If you happen to have a video on your favorite sunscreen (if you are using sunscreen), please direct me to it or let me know here what is your recommendation. I never used Westman Atelier foundation, but have used other luxury brands of foundations (La Prairie, La Mer, Dior). After your videos, I have to order the WA foundation stick and maybe a few other goodies. Thank you for your honest reviews!
I just received the Westman Atelier highlight in Nectar and can't wait to try it. I think I will try the blush next, probably in Petal. Thanks for the great recommendations!
Yes!! i knew you’d love the eye shadows !!! The new eye pods are perfect … wish the pinky shade was a bit more pigmented but it’s perfect! And you look fantastic as always !!
WA is definitely my favourite brand!!! I have all 3 NYX A bit jelly jelly highlighters..... Not the same as WA, 😥but it will do for now. I don't think the foundations are a good colour match for Michelle, but mine was just perrrrrfect!!! So many of the sticks look good, just with slightly different tones, so it's great for Indian skin. It's a bit clay-ish but good as a very light tint. Sometimes I use the Elizabeth Arden all purpose balm stick or normal chapstick underneath.
I love watching your application of products, it's never too much and always perfection. The lip combo really works, such a pretty look which didn't overpower the eye look. Thank you for your continued uploading, it's meant a lot to me. You're always included in my love and prayers ❣🙏🙏🙏❣
Timing of this video is perfect as I just purchased a WA gift set from Sephora that has a mini highlight, contour, and blush stick in the set. I am super excited to try the products. Question: can any shade of the highlight stick be used as a primer or just Lit?
When I bought my highlighter stick they only had LIT which has no color. I later bought Nectar and that one is especially nice in the summer if you want a little warmth as it throws a little peach but also goes well with rosier looks. Good Luck!
I'm a huge fan of Westman Atelier, I love so much about the range. Have you tried using a damp brush on the eye pods? I saw a GW tutorial once suggesting it. Makes the colour much more intense, amazing for nights ... really lovely Xx
She uses 1 under eyes around nose t-zone then uses 2 around perimeter if she’s more fair and I’ve seen her use 1, 2 & 4 around perimeter and 1&2 inside
I really love Westman atelier blush! I have Poppet and Minette, and both are stunning! I have Peau de Soleil, i ordered it by mistake, and i am so so happy with it! Its gorgeous!
Thank you so much Michele for this fullface of Westman Atelier products. It helps me a lot. I only got one more question. I 'm a little bit scared about the bronzer because it' s very shiny but do you think I can get a deeper shade of the foundation and use it as a bronzer? 🤔🌹 The highlighter with the peach tone is gorgeous and I love the 3 shades of this eyepod trio 🌹🌹🌹
The best WA products I've used are all the Baby Cheeks blushes - they are excellent, blend beautifully and last; and then the Super Loaded Tinted Highlighters as well as the Butter Bronzer. The Super Loadeds are probably the sleeper products and are a must-try. I did not like the Lit Up Highlight stick and returned it. Felt it just looked like shiny grease on my skin and was quite tacky all day. The face Trace contour stick is great because the color is so good, but I only use it in winter.
Hey Michele 💖💜 Did you see that Sephora has two mini face sets from Westman Atelier? They are half the size, at least according to the Sephora description, and they have a contour, blush and highlight for $78. which I thought was pretty reasonable for all three. I couldn’t resist and ordered both sets. It’s my first foray into WA and I’m excited.
Thanks for sharing , good to know . May I ask whether the lighter set is for lighter skin , and darker set is for darker skin ? Or does it not matter ?
@@vchill2845 the darker set’s contour shade wouldn’t work unless you’re medium-tan or tan/very tan. but the blush & highlight shades would absolutely work on most skin tones except maybe ghoulish pale haha. i picked up the lighter kit cuz i’m a light/light-med tone and wanted the contour to work and think the blush color is so pretty :)
It’s funny, I am so spot on matched with all of your foundation shades and you are my go-to whenever I need to confirm a new product shade. I had bought both the foundation stick in I and II and have been blending the 2 colors for my match. I love their blushes- but haven’t tried an eye pod yet. I think you may have just convinced me! (Darn it! Michele Wang strikes again -LOL)
Your final look just before the last bronzer application was very English Rose / bitten lip 🌹💖 really lovely 🥰 no new makeup for me for a while, saving up for Christmas and birthday treats 😊⭐️🧣 BTW I still giggle at Baby (Butt) Cheeks 😂😂
Michelle, great work as always. I’d like WA to rethink their packaging though. Luxurious, heavy & magnetic is not a sustainable choice for ‘clean beauty’. If the products were truly refillable there would be a case for this over packaging.
Yes. I have been looking forward to this. Seeing ALL of the WA goodies I’m really excited. I want to try the foundation. Stick foundations are intriguing to me. 🤓. Looking forward. This goes on my big screen tv today 😍
These products look amazing! I generally don't buy stick foundations because they mostly seem to be higher coverage than I prefer, but there are definitely some big pros! Easy to put two shades all over the face, easy to pack, and doesn't count as a liquid on planes! ❤️
Those eye pods are waaayyyy too subtle for my taste (I go for very bold colourful eye looks typically!) But I could just watch/listen to you all day! I don't even really care what product you're using! Lol So relaxing 💜
G'day Michelle!! I really loved your Westman Atelier brand tutorial! On the topic of shade matching, I too have also found it difficult to find my perfect shade in the vital skin foundation. I am waiting for Mecca in Australia to get in shade 0.5 (seems to be taking forever) which is a neutral undertone and I recall you have mentioned that you prefer neutral shades in many of your tutorials. Maybe you may want to try both 0.5 and 2 together. That way, there won't be the yellow tone there! Anyhow, take care and keep bringing us your amazing reviews!!!!
Dear Michele I am dreadfully dry too Under eye creams? Best concealer and setting powder. I know you didn't like the by Terry so curious to what you love. Thank you. Love your videos so much
I have at least two of all the WA makeup products. I enjoy them all but had the most difficulty with the foundation sticks. Having no idea of undertone, I ordered the 1 shade and it was way too yellow. I then ordered 2 and it’s a little dark but neutral enough. I finally got the 0 and its the right cool undertone but a little light. Finally I learned to mix 0 and 2 to make an acceptable shade but this foundation is definitely problematic as the range is very narrow and there is nowhere close for me to swatch unless I go into NYC-and that’s out. I wanted so much to like the foundation as much as I love the blushes (3), highlight sticks(2), and super-loaded face highlighters (2), and contour. I did discover your trick of using the highlight stick as a partial primer. It does add a nice glow.
@@periwinklestar9100 Yes, I love the foundation too for a light coverage but I had to tinker with the shade combination and you can’t go in heavy handed and pile it on. I’m not too far from you in shade but the undertone is rosier - Armani 4.75. Be well.
I love when you do full faces of one brand 👌🏽 we are the same shade in many foundations and I find 2 is a perfect match in summer for me. I love nectar too, I need me some les rouges! It’s been a long time since you did a full face of surratt, it would be nice to see you bust out the large adept palette again 👌🏽💋
Really want to try their eye pods - the texture looks so interesting. Have you even tried Code8? I feel like it's a brand that looks like something you'd like and I'd love to know what you think as I'm tempted to buy one of their small palettes.
I already have the new eye pods and other of their makeup. I thought that I could watch without buying anything, but no - bought the brush that you used for primer.😊
I have very sensitive, red, rosacea skin, but strangely, WA has only 1 stick foundation for rosy undertones. I don’t have neutral , beige or yellow undertones. I feel like us porcelain skin girls with a redness issue are just out of luck.
Hi Michelle, great review! How is the pigment pay off on the eye pods ? Other reviews mention, that it is very very subtle, almost non existent. Thanks,Hafsa
Beautiful video Michele, thanks!!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩 I have those cream blush in the lightest shade, two contour sticks as well, i must say i prefer the contour products from TF and CT over WA, but the blush, even i like it, being not a blush type of person!!! Never tried eyeshadows from them, how are they holding when wearing longer than a few hours? Because the contour from WA is going away a sooner than the other ones in mentioned. But beautifl video, thanks again, and enjoy your day!!!!😘😘😘😘
Hi Michele, beautiful make-up look. Not familiar with Westman Atelier cosmetics so this was a nice preview of the products! I was wondering how you define luxury make-up? A lot of people define luxury dependent on the brand/ price-range but as a make-up artist would you say it's the formulation of the products, ingredients, brand, price, packaging, and even marketing? I was also watching your September 'Will I buy It" and was interested in a review of the Milk Make-Up Bionic Liquid Blush if you bought it!
did you find the application of these trio is the same as the first two? I heard a couple people say they were more patchy. I love the colors, but I have hesitated because of the “patchiness”.
Love WA. My fav product is the 1st lip suede she came out with. Tried to get the nude a few weeks ago on WA website and was sold out. Will try Sephora.
Thank you for reviewing the new eye pods, I’m sold! 😜 And random question: what moving company did you use and would you recommend them? I’m in Vegas as well and need to hire movers in a few months so I was curious about your experience. 😊
I’m horrible at determining undertones in foundations let alone on my own skin. Westman Atelier looks gorgeous and maybe I should try the mini set in Sephora. Hmmmm. 🧐
I absolutely love WA Biscuit contour and all the blushes. The eyelids were a huge disappointment. Could never seem to get the color out, either with finger or brush, and then it quickly faded, even if using a primer or setting with powder.
I'm like Michele, I can't be bothered to mix foundations 😄 I want one color that works perfectly all year long and I'll warm it up with bronzer when I need to 🙈😈😈😈
I love Westman Atelier, all of the products. But I am struggling with that foundation stick dries my skin. Do you have some tricks? I have mature skin and I moisturize really god before applying... :-(
I'm obsessed with Westman Atelier!! Along with Glossier and Gucci beauty, it's a brand that excites me and never disappoints me. I've bought from most of the products from these brands and am working on the rest. It's safe to say they it's my top 3.
Which foundation do you think is more smoothing, the WA foundation stick or the Cle de peau radiant foundation? My skin is textured from teenage acne and I’m looking for a new foundation.
I suffer the same problem and Koh Gen Do works like a miracle on me. Very natural and smooth. I was surprised when first trying the aqua foundation and even more thrilled to try the moisture foundation. The moisture foundation is a little bit matte than the aqua and together they work like a miracle.
I will second the Koh Gen Do Aqua, it’s rather surprising to run into anyone making this suggestion who has acne texture as do I. One pump gives a light coverage, two pumps build up heavy so whatever you need. For humid weather I’ve been liking Dior Forever Perfect Cushion SPF 35, it’s an investment to buy the first time but the refills are $35 on Selfridges. This one is flat matte and a bit dry, so if you’re oily in humid weather it’s good for shine and masking texture.
@@cwynn1547 because I live in humid weather the aqua foundation always leaves a dewy finish. Michele herself often use setting powder whenever she wears the foundation. But even without the powder it'll look great. I simply forgo the powder. But now my go to foundation is one or one and a half pumps of aqua with a drop of the moisture foundation. Very natural looking and I just apply it with my hands as I find the warmth really helps.
I love the baby cheeks, they are wonderful. I’d love to have them all, but in trying (and loving!) so many cream cheek products I feel like I have all my shade needs met☹️ Maybe I’ll treat myself with one more. Thanks for the video, love WA!💕
I think the superloaded highlighter in peau de pêche is a really unique product that I find myself using daily. So that would be my humble recommendation!
Peau de Peche is my all time favorite with Petal blush coming in second. I also have two foundation sticks in shades 2 & 4 and use the lighter in the middle of my face and 4 around my perimeter as Gucci suggests. It really adds some subtle dimension when you use two shades. I do own the original Eye Pods which are my least favorite but then I am not much of an eye shadow girl so that may be why. Next purchase for me is the contour stick as I keep hearing great reviews about it.
Unpopular opinion…. Westman Atelier is hype and overrated. The lip suede compact was beautiful to look at but terrible functionality. The colors were too close together and hard to use. Eyepods….were definitely not all that. Very hard to pick up color on the brush and I had to apply many times to actually see any color. I do like the baby cheek products. And l do like Gucci, she seems like a nice lady.
Every time you say "Barneys" my soul weeps a little. Still can't believe they're gone. 😢
😥
Thank you for your review, Michele; you look absolutely radiant! 💖✨

Under eye creams?
Please see my reply to OM?
Hey, Michelle, Have you found the Lip Suede pallet difficult to open without wrecking your manicure? I love the colors, otherwise.
Love the eyeshadows and especially the lipgloss! Will definitely check them out. 💖
I love the light and natural base 😊💕
This was great. I love a lot of the products and find the foundation sticks last forever because I don’t need to use much
just discovered your channel because of these reviews!! So happy I did!
Beautiful look. I'm going to have a Westman Atelier as I stay in my jammies all day LOL
Really want to try their eye pods - the texture looks so interesting. Have you even tried Code8? I feel like it's a brand that looks like something you'd like and I'd love to know what you think as I'm tempted to buy one of their small palettes.
I love your full face of..videos! Beautiful soft look! Gorgeous Michele!❤
Gucci outdid herself with these. They are beautiful and better than the others in my opinion 🤗💜
I already have the new eye pods and other of their makeup. I thought that I could watch without buying anything, but no - bought the brush that you used for primer.😊
I just purchased a few products after watching this! The blush sticks are just 🙌
I have very sensitive, red, rosacea skin, but strangely, WA has only 1 stick foundation for rosy undertones. I don’t have neutral , beige or yellow undertones. I feel like us porcelain skin girls with a redness issue are just out of luck.
I just got the Rendez Vous and the lip balm - they are so beautiful. Super happy to have tried WA! Great video.
agree! I think this is my favorite eye pod!
I love all of the eye pods but this became my favorite in an instant ❤️
But beautifl video, thanks again, and enjoy your day!!!!😘😘😘😘
I love early morning uploads💜
Hi Michele, beautiful make-up look. Not familiar with Westman Atelier cosmetics so this was a nice preview of the products! I was wondering how you define luxury make-up? A lot of people define luxury dependent on the brand/ price-range but as a make-up artist would you say it's the formulation of the products, ingredients, brand, price, packaging, and even marketing? I was also watching your September 'Will I buy It" and was interested in a review of the Milk Make-Up Bionic Liquid Blush if you bought it!
You should try 0.5 its their newest addition with a cooler undertone
I love the products11Your look is great
I don’t know about these eyeshadows, they look VERY lightly pigmented. Beautiful look though 💗
did you find the application of these trio is the same as the first two? I heard a couple people say they were more patchy. I love the colors, but I have hesitated because of the “patchiness”.
😊I know you wear contact lenses & wonder if the eye pods cause any oily blurring of your lenses….does the tint “travel”? Thank you for answering!
I was so interested on the eye pots. But it’s too sheer. I think I will stick to the blush.
your voice is so incredibly soothing.
Love the makup so beatiful 😘❤️
I hadn't shopped at Barneys too much, but yes, RIP! lol
Between 1 and 3, do you know which would be better for a neutral olive skintone?
I just ordered the holiday lip suede set on Sephora F&F and I’m so excited!
Good morning, Michele! I'm definitely going to pick up some WA during the next VIB sale!
Love WA. My fav product is the 1st lip suede she came out with. Tried to get the nude a few weeks ago on WA website and was sold out. Will try Sephora.
Indeed nothing like comparative analysis 👍
I'm like Michele, I can't be bothered to mix foundations 😄 I want one color that works perfectly all year long and I'll warm it up with bronzer when I need to 🙈😈😈😈
Have u ever used the Baby Blender with creem eyeshadow sticks? If so, how did you apply? thx!
Hi 👋 Happy day! Love the eyeshadows!
A great video. Thanks Michele 🤗
@@tefal2387 thank you!
Beautiful look! 🙋🏻♀️
Love this!! I’m just getting into Westman Atelier!!
Me too now that I’ve seen this!!!!
I adore dense putty like texture in shadow , hard to find in moderate priced product , enjoy seeing the high ens 😍👌🏾🧕🏿🦹🏾♂️
Stunning look x
I loved this video. I want to try WA products but still can’t decide where to start. Any recommendations!
I think the superloaded highlighter in peau de pêche is a really unique product that I find myself using daily. So that would be my humble recommendation!
@@a-lstahl3643 Thanks so much.
Could there be a better video title... well maybe Surratt??🤷♀️ Great video Michele, Thank You!!!!!
I love this ❤️ thank you ☺️
