thanks to this mad lad I am forcing myself to play all of it on ultraviolence no cheats will never lower the difficulty...its a major pain in the ass but thank you civvie it truly is the gentleman's way to play Doom anything easier is a crime cuz once you get into the dance in this one it's absolutely the perfect FPS. only thing more of a pain on ultra nightmare was probably the plutonia missions fuck those.
My first indie video and right off the bat i get a civvie reference, gonna sub and see what else this guy haves.

@@miguelquiroz911 if you have played the game (which if you haven't you should) he is doomguy from the original games because at the end of doom 64 a portal opens to another dimension where he is found by the knight sentinels and is traind to become the slayer. Then goes on the unholy crusade being trapped in hell for thousands of years he slays demons then is trapped is the cursed sarcophagus then is found in doom 2016 and released by Samuel Hayden.

First time I picked it up I put in maybe 2 hours but at the beginning of social distancing I decided I wanted my money's worth out of it and played through the whole 15 hour game in 2 days, so I think it would be worth your time to give it another shot (even if you didn't want to turn it into a vid).

The sticky note isn't a Dark Souls reference, It's a Prey reference. In Prey, the mimics disguise themselves as average objects like computers or mugs, so sometimes you can find mugs and stuff with sticky notes attached that say "not a mimic"
Indeimaus is pumping out the content! Beating Deadspace 1 and 2, Doom Eternal, and Resident Evil all in one video each, editing them, and getting that beautiful content to my eye holes on a weekly basis!

Civvie has multiple very well made videos on the DOOM series called “PRO DOOM”, where he plays each of the DOOM games on Ultra Violence, going all the way back to the first game (the “gentleman’s way to play DOOM” voice clip is from that series). I believe it is one of, if not the most popular series of videos on his channel.
Civvie’s videos have a very to the point feel while still working in plenty of clever edits and dry wit. His videos also have elements of game review in them, but he doesn’t just bash games, being much quicker to praise than criticize, which I personally like, as it makes the rare times he blasts a game feel much more genuine.
He also just seems like a pretty stand up dude. If you haven’t already, I recommend checking out his PRO DOOM videos to start, that’s how I found him, and I subscribed not to long after.
PRO BLOOD is his best work so far.

Agreed. After finishing the campaign in Nightmare difficulty while questioning my life choices and if I finally was too old for video games, I tried playing again in ultra-violence and just breezed through it. So my ideal difficulty is between UV and Nightmare :P

I was looking for this comment, I played on Nightmare and even though the whole game wasn't easy, it was beatable, but the Icon of Sin Boss fight was god damn hard, after 30 or so tries, I've decided I had enough and just use the praetorian armor (1st and only time).

This video is perfect. Also, I love how Buddy just plays off the game's greatest challenges like nothing. Icon of Sin was tough as balls; most intense moment in the game for me, especially with all the baron and arachnotron spam! Definitely Doom 2's boss ramped up.
I actually thought it was just going to be you playing as Doom Guy on a skateboard for 30 minutes and I wasn't even mad.

In all honesty I was not THAT big a fan of the first one, but this one seems to be quite a drastic improvement over the original. Can't help but to admit that I got a bit hyped to play this one.

@@wingedfish1175 The 2016 one. The original (the one from1993) and especially its sequel are some of my favorite games. It's somewhat an unpopular opinion, but I find Hell on Earth to be a superior game to Doom 2016.
This game is functionally and visually superior to 2016 even if the first couple hours are kinda rough. This game doesn't fuck around with its difficulty
Not hating on your opinion at all but is there a specific reason why you didn’t like 2016 doom? The only thing I didn’t like was the locations it was all the same and my eyes were starting to hurt looking at the same colors the whole game.
@@papayer Purple Goop, Tutorials right until the flubbing final boss of the game, cutsceen %, allways online for a single player game, "Marauders" (a deffensive bullet sponge that basicly slows down any combat he is in down to a crawl), streamlined maps with very little freedom to explore or move outside a very strict and narrow path, 20% of the game is jumping "puzzles", has a story you are supposed to care about
so yeah - there quite a few bad design decisions in this game and claiming it outright better seems a bit foolish to me
p.s.: I love the game, it's very fun, combat is *great* and as a main focus I think they totaly nailed it, having to use all your aresnal (by enemy design and a kinda low ammo cap that you have to constantly keep in mind) very well done indeed. I just wished everything that *isn't* the combat wasn't so "not Doom", specially the level design ( *NOT* the visual design, which is great) is just ... tunnel-arena-tunnel-arena-tunnel-arena-etc.
