the EC06 works best with high drain button top 21700's or raised top Molicel P42A's
Flashaholic, your a honest person to your subscribers an viewers I can go in depth as to why but for you to correct the mistakes that was in the last take(video of ec06)and drop another updated and retested one is incredible an honorable.Thank you great work.!
@@christopherdenny595 I just had to amend the review when I saw Molicel added another 10000 lumens! 🔥 👏
Tom E on Budgetlightforum.com got 28000+ lumens with Vapcell 21700's!!!
@@FLASHAHOLIC_TV It's raised top Vapcell or button top ?
Thanks for your work .

I have to stop watching your videos because I order everything you show lol. Ordered the EC06 last night. I hope the second batch will preform like the first. According to Tom E there should be no reason why they would be different. This is my 8th flashlight order in the last couple of months. The L7 was my biggest surprise, man it throws the light! Thanks for your vids, I really enjoy them! I do believe this is the most under rated flashlight to date!!! Can't wait!!
EC06 is a beast. Just needs so ship with a flat top adaptor
@@FLASHAHOLIC_TV would u take this light or the Imalent R60C?
@@markbeck3115 I don't think I've ever seen the R60C
Hahahah 5:59 ... wasnt expecting that ! 😂🤣🤣🤣
I’ve been watching your videos for at least a couple of years now, and it has to be said, your night time videos are so easy to watch. I think I have a clear vision of what you are seeing, the scale, distance and the lack of camera movement is very easy on the eye. I have just mentioned to another ytber that he should see your videos as his video made me effin dizzy. Sorry if I helped the competition, but I think you are safe..
I was just fortunate enough to have one of these ordered for me as a gift. Can't wait to light the forest up
Like the video. One fix to be able to use it with flat top is to find the 3 spots where the batteries connect to the ring and melt some solder on those spots, but you have to make the spots smooth and curved.
Great video and a amazing, throw and flood Astrolux flashlight👍
I like your dramatic music. Makes it seem like a suspenseful movie.
Suits the mood, I'm always expecting a dog attack or angry local coming at me, out of the blue.
I think this is the best Pop can light. Better and more usable than the Acebeam X80 and Imalent MS06.
This beam is beautiful.👍😎
Could be the top light of 2021!
Hva you seen the MS08? 😬
Is this the same as Sofirn Q8 plus? And if we put also a P42A 21700 in Sofirn Q8 plus, the output lumens will be the as this Astrolux EC06?
Thanks you.
5:59 - very important moment!
Bạn có thể giúp tôi cài đặt nhiệt độ cho EC06 không? Tôi làm theo tờ hướng dẫn nhưng không thành công. Như vậy có phải bị lỗi UI không?
It is automatically adjusted when the temperature rises. How do I set the limit of this step to a high temperature?
Jeez! What a review. You are good, man!!!
Thank you!
what do you put on the lamp in candle mode ? a cup or is it something special for the flashlight that is available in the accessories ?
20p pop carton
I believe it's the same as sofirn q8 plus, but I'll sticking with my mf01s since it's a bit brighter. I'm wanting a light in the 25,000-50,000 lumen range.
Thanks for the review. Kind of odd I can only get the astrolux EC06 on banggood, not on astrolux website. Tried to look for the Sofirn EC 06 and that was not on their website at all either. Was there a problem or recall on these flashlights that you know of? Thank you
I didn't know Astrolux had a website!
Search for Sofirn Q8 Plus instead
Could you explain about the batteries, please? If each led is rated for 3A maximun, why is it different when using higher drain batteries like the 40t, if the maximun usable will be 6x3=18a?
I think they push closer to 12A each.
The sst20 6500k in the mf01s look amazing. I thought they were supposed to look green?
The ec06 looks like a wall of light!
I had hoped the Emisar would perform better ☹️
The Emisar used is High Cri. XPL versions will have more power and throw.
Is it the same as sofirn q8 plus?
Good vid. Thank for ur review!
Pls, tell me what batteries are best for this flashlight?
If you have the Convoy 3 x 21A adaptor then something like 30T or 40T. If not Molicel P42A will be fine.
Just ordered mine :) on a wait list but it seems tk be worth it
You like it?
many thanks 4 your very good Videos!
i have ordered one and i think it will burn the wood. ;)
Thank you, for another fantastic show!
Wow, this one sure does get my attention. I just had my old BLF Q8 out the other day. I had almost forgotten just how much I love that thing.
I have not gotten into the 21700 lights, yet. I think this flashlight will be my tipping point. That balanced beam, is just gorgeous! I know I could put 18650's in it, but I need an excuse to get me into the 21700 world. 😇
Tom E on Budgetlightforum.com got 28000+ lumens with Vapcell 21700's!!!
Yes, I went and read through that thread @@FLASHAHOLIC_TV, right after posting that last comment. I learned a few more things. I checked with my local battery supplier, and they will be getting in a batch of P42A's in two days. I think I'll start with those, if they will work without an adapter? I am seeing them listed as a "MOLICEL/NPE INR-21700-P42A 45A 4200MAH Flat Top 21700 battery'. I can not find them as a 'button top, or raised top'. As you describe here, in your description section of this video. I do have button top adapters, but would rather not use them. And I am sure not going to notice the difference between 26,000 and 28,090 : - )
@@SteveKluver They are flat top but raised slightly enough to avoid short circuits in case the battery wrapper rips.
Ok, thank you @@FLASHAHOLIC_TV. So they (Molicel) are not making different P42A's then, correct? I buy mine from Illumn. If you would like to see pictures of what I am seeing, and reading.
@@SteveKluver If the P42A isn't raised then it'll be a fake.
I was just going to order this but I think I’ll wait and see if they are going to include some sort of flat to button adapter in the future. Any word on if that is something they are working on? Something similar to Convoy’s 4x18a flat to button adapter would be great.
Would be a great idea!
@@FLASHAHOLIC_TV have you had or heard of anyone having issues with the Molicel p42a in this light? Or are they good to go?
@@A-Fern great cells
@@FLASHAHOLIC_TV doesnt answer his question, id like an answer to that question too.
Received mine finally. Figured out most of the features. Except how do you get out of momentarily mode without taking bats out
You can't
Try turning it until the contacts are disconnected then press the button to drain the capacitor then tighten it again
What do you put on top of flashlight for the candle mode ?
20p drink carton!
First thanks for awesome reviews. Second looking for bang for buck close to mid range flood maximum light 06 or Haikelite MT09R 3x XHP70.2 again thanks
Who makes the best pop can style torch in your opinion mate?
The EC06 for the beam, ROT66 for the 219B tint. Acebeam for build quality.
I ordered three of these on December 12th from Banggood. They promised to arrive on the 23rd. Banggood just canceled my order on January 1st due to “Logistics and transport issues” and now the price is much higher. I still really want the lights, but am sad right now.
Gutting.
Can't wait for someone to create a pop can light with a 4680 cell
Between the EC06 and MF01S, which one holds Turbo mode longer between the two? Also if you had pick between one either EC06 or MF01S, which one would you pick and why?
I prefer the EC06 for its floodier more even beam. MF01S holds turbo longer as it has half the output.
@@FLASHAHOLIC_TV, using the 3x Molicel P42A cells on the EC06, seems like the turbo last only 5 seconds before stepping down? Also are you able to use the Molicel cells on the MF01S?
@@sumeetlal1 P42A are too big for the MF01S, EC06 starts stepping down hard after 25 secs but it is 26000 lumens and you can up the thermal limit too.
Great review as always!
Does the very cool white tint disturb you? Is it like the EC03 6500k?
Also, where do you get your 21700 batteries in the UK?
Tint is fine. Far nicer than the yellowish MF01S. I get my batteries from fogstar
21700 button cells from Ampsplus
anyone know how to stop the green light on the button to constantly being on... I press 7 times from OFF. No change. Please help.
It should be 7 times unless you're in the simple UI
Does the Astrolux ec06 achieve around 30000 or even more lumens with 3 Samsung 21700 30T batteries?Since you measured 29300 lumens with the Samsung 21700 40T batteries?
Easily if all 3 make contact.
Did you try 21700 Samsung 30T cells? I know that in my vape the 30T hits a lot harder than P42, so I think it will be even brighter than 26k lumens
I got 30000 with 40T
@@FLASHAHOLIC_TV I am scared to put the 30T in flashlight because it may burn the leds. Max output of these XHP 50.2 is about 5000 lumen per led, can you do a video about it if you have the 30T cells?

Greetings. Thanks for another very good review. I bought the light due to your commending it. I know you ran Molicel 21700 batteries for optimal performance. Banggood's recommendation is "button top" batteries. Are your Molicel's this type? I am new to lights and batteries and would like to know my 21700 battery (type) options. Thank you for the time. D
Molicel have slightly raised top so will give you a reliable contact.
