- Follow a 63 year old nomad who has walked out on society. As my mental health takes a dip, I become houseless and start to live in my car. Watch me as I learn, make mistakes, and much more, as I travel round the UK in my car meeting and talking to people and finding services to help me with my day to day living. Follow me as I visit beautiful spots in the UK, set up a tent or stay at a hostel or in my car. How I spend my money, tricks I use to save money. Follow my continued nomadic life as it takes on different roles. See if I can change my life before I get too old. Can you live lite and travel lite and see your world through fresh eyes.

Mattie Mclean I'm glad I'm not the only one that thought this! She sees her backside because someone in a shared house is using HER shower! WHAT! Then she slags people off about being negative about work when she's just done the EXACT same thing! From what I've seen I'm not surprised she's in the situation she is!

Here we have several sources of cheap, healthy food and loads of jobs, if you wanted to work.
I've got loads of food so you wouldn't need to buy any.

Yes , agreed , I am astonished at how many gullible people will financially sponsor moochers to eat and drink 🍹 themselves into oblivion , whilst roaming around in Motorhomes we could never afford. And you get the genuine ones struggling vainly along .
@@mattiemclean9882 I don’t actually Mattie 😜 because , I stopped looking at her Videos , when people said we will help you try to make money out of You Tubers . Make them pay to ask you a Question. That did it for me. I get less than £100 per week pension , and I am not going to spend it by asking her a question. To me that is a Moocher . Like the pair that drive about on a weekend in their brand new £100k Motorhome , “Ohh look at us eating this Restaurant meal, and they have no relationship with their family. That is a Red Flag to me. Because my family is important.
I used to let others wind me up and would react to any provocation be it deliberate or incidental. I made many enemies and got nowhere. I then discovered the ‘Power of Silence’. Not responding and saying nothing is not, as I thought, surrendering or capitulating but it actually empowers you by not giving away your position and disempowered those who are trying deliberately antagonise you. There are plenty of literal millionaires on UA-cam who have Patreon accounts and Amazon wish lists, but you take issue with this channel? You're now nearly at 1000 subscribers so your audience is quickly rising, there's a good reason for that too. I think you're fantastic and it's great to watch you. I do wish though life was a bit easier for you as I'm not sure it's entertaining watching you struggle, well not for me anyway. It is though interesting to watch how well you cope and what an inspiration you are to others who are maybe not in a great place either. I'm a lot longer than you but very proud of you.

It's completely normal for you to feel angry about not being paid in full and about people who take advantage. We all sometimes need to vent things that are bothering us. Some people are very selfish and have very little consideration for others. They just do what they want, whether by doing so they upset others or not. I hope you find a job that suits you soon. You are doing such a good job of picking yourself up after every disappointment and still persevering. You deserve a decent break.
I'm 61 (male, living in NZ, but actually born in England) and am in a similar situation as to what you were when you posted your first video. I'm thinking seriously about becoming a nomad this year, as well, as I'm in a rather deep rut at the moment, and need to do something about it sooner, rather than later. Although I also own a station wagon, I won't try living in it, I am looking at buying a large people mover, instead, as these particular ones can be, and are, converted into proper camper vans; I've even seen videos of them being converted by British firms. If you can afford it, check out things like the Toyota Alphard, which is what I am considering. Even the older Alphards, from 2004 onwards, should be good enough, as they have that Toyota reliability that they are famous for.
Anyway, I'm wishing you all the best in what ever you do in the future, as you certainly seem to have the determination to get through anything life throws at you. Just keep at it, as I'm sure you'll come out the other side just fine.
P.S. My first comment on your channel was made using my other account (it was about YT deleting comments), but I think this account is more appropriate when dealing with real life matters.

I did comment on another post last night with an address of a local food bank (Neo Centre Beaconsfield Community House, Rock Ferry, Birkenhead CH42 3YN) literally a 5 min walk from my house 😀 My brother volunteers for them and I've heard Wednesday is the best day to visit!

she fell asleep at the wheel of her own car recently and totalled it- I'm not sure she could afford the insurance. Many taxi firms expect you to have your own vehicle as well.

What an articulate, analytical, sensitive and strong lady you are I enjoyed watching your video and hearing your thoughts on your work and inevitable politics around it. It's very comforting and puts certain things in perspective seeing life and work from another person's perspective, which I think demonstrates perfectly the positive aspect of social media.
Wishing you well and good luck going forward. I wondered if you're a migraine sufferer, as I am and I thought I recognised the symptoms you had when you had a headache? If so, I find Sumatriptan or Rizatripran (Maxalt Melts) are the most effective forms of pain relief, and the earlier you can nip it in the bud the more effective it is. For me, it's the niggling, distracting pressure behind my eyes, sudden nausea and twitching of the temple area that it starts off with. Good luck 👍 💓 ✨
Is there anything we can do? Having suffered from depression most of my life I can relate you your videos (despite being in my 30s) however I’m lucky enough to be financial ok. Is there an address we could send items too, books? Your favourite biscuits etc.. don’t want it to sound patronising but I love your videos and would love to help in any way make your day brighter. HiTL. Just found your channel two days ago and have watched all of your uploads! You are one amazing woman! Firstly, I hope you are feeling much better? Seems like your mind and body needed to rest after everything you’ve been through
since the car crash. You know how adrenaline kicks in during a crisis, then once over, (you got the job you wanted) we sort of crash! Have you thought about getting a Senior Railcard for £30? Lasts a year and you get a third off rail fares? May be useful for train trips on your days off until you get back on wheels. I am in Redditch, and also have a free spare room if you look at work down this way (Amazon). Have learned a lot from you and as I approach my 60th, on the corporate treadmill for another 8 years, I’m having a re-think! I PX’d my car for a Zafira 2 weeks ago so I can go on car camping adventures! All the best to you and keep us updated! X

Maybe there is work where they live, and then in time you can get set up on your own again. Perhaps you feel you don’t want to be beholden to anyone, or indebted, but a chat with these kind people might help you to sort things out in your mind. You need a rest. I just found your vlog, it popped up on my feed and I've subscribed. I went back and watched the update about how you got to where you are. Sad to hear that you lost your pup, they become our family and it makes us sad when they are gone, life can seem so empty without our beloved pets. I like that you've started a vlog and that you're talking about your life whether its been good or bad, its a brave thing to do, its much better for you to talk about it than feeling alone and depressed and you've got a good audience listening in so far. I do see a few negative commenters on here which I don't quite understand their means, when someone is down you need to lift them up, I hope these dwellers never have to experience depression in their lifetime. Keep doing what you're doing and keep striving for a positive outcome.

Just a quick one about your car, if the damage is just cosmetic and drivable and not structurally damaged or steering and suspension damage ,it's worth considering buying it back .(as long as the panel damage Is minimal)
They will pay you the current value of the car pre accident,and you can sometimes buy the car back for a few hundred quid ,the extra money will come in handy ..
I did this with a few of my cars ,and most recently my van ..it got written off ,but all it needed was a passenger door to put right which cost 50 quid ...just an idea ..
Obviously if you just want rid of the car now ,then let them keep it and buy something else with the insurance pay out ...hope you doing ok 👍
