  • Calling all fellow bookworms, library nerds, and general lovers of literature - it’s time for another book club episode of the podcast!
Whenever there are five Fridays in a month, we devote the extra Friday to a book that we can’t get enough of. This time we decided to have a conversation about a brand-new book by an author you may recognize (because our last book club episode was also about one of her books!), Tosha Silver.
This one’s called It’s Not Your Money: How to live fully from divine abundance. If you like the idea of exploring the intersection between money, spirituality, and practicality, you’re going to love this conversation.
    We talked about:
    - If it’s not “your money,” then whose is it??
    - How to let go of the illusion that you’ve got to figure out how to make money all on your own.
    - How to accept where you are right now, even if you’re broke.
    - Fun, practical tools for letting go of your money fears and becoming a magnet to more abundance.
    - How to trust in divine timing and believe everything is going to work out.
    - Some personal stories about how we’ve let go of money anxiety (and the surprising results).
Come leave us a comment after you’ve listened and let us know what resonated most from this conversation. And in the true spirit of this book, we’d also LOVE to hear your stories of signs, synchronicities, and surrendering to the Universe (when it comes to money, or anything else!), so come share that, too!

Tosha Silver is new to me & the focus on "Money" presented her book "Its not Your money" which intrigued me. Her emphasis on The Divine taking the lead interesting me even more. Loved the Book Club review. :) Am keen to have that book now. Thankyou.

I loved hearing this. So many ideas resonated. I liked the ideas of offering up, letting go of doership- which I'd never heard, but made so much sense, and cleaning to get the old energy out. I also really liked Kristen's example of "today I'm okay". Money is energy and the idea of us being a conduit of that energy really hit home. As always such great content! So much appreciation for the valuable information you guys share!

A friend sent me this episode from y'all since I'm in a money bind. This was such a great episode and love the explanation it's not my bills, THE bill and the universe will take care of it. Thank you!

We're glad you found us! And we hope you'll read the whole book (and Outrageous Openness, which came before it). There's so much good stuff we couldn't get into!

Thank you for this. Very interesting insights. I loved Tosha's first book too, so will definitely be getting a copy of this one. I know Tosha has touched on it in the past but the only thing I get a little stuck on is how this fits with law of attraction? Do we create our own reality, does the Divine have plans for us all along or are they one and the same?? Neville Goddard says our imagination and ability to create IS God/the Divine but Tosha seems to explain it as though the Divine is a larger power that knows what's best for us.

Hi Lesley! That's a great question, and I think Tosha definitely gets into it in Outrageous Openness. That said, our take is that both of those sentiments are true. We absolutely create our own reality AND we come into this lifetime with intentions--lessons we want to learn, experiences we might want to have, etc. All while keeping in mind that humans have free will, and nothing is predetermined! If you haven't heard or checked out Abraham Hicks, you REALLY should! You would love their message, and I think it would answer this question for you. If you're new to Abraham (which is where the LOA got started), just search for "Abraham Hicks" on UA-cam and listen to a few videos. You'll soon get the swing of things! :)
