It's Not Your Money with Tosha Silver

- Those of you who have been around listening for a while have undoubtedly heard me mention Tosha Silver and her book Outrageous Openness before. Maybe you've even listened to her first interview which was all the way back in the first 25 episodes of this show in 2015.
Either way! I'm excited to have her back to discuss her latest book, It's Not Your Money - the concepts of which can be applied to many besides money.
Her big truth was around not being able to say yes to everything and from there we got into authenticity, not in a buzz word way, in a connecting to your true self and being of service way.
We talked about why it's not your money, people's pain around money, and how to stop worrying about money for folks who do, which led to a conversation about what abundance actually is, how to ditch fear around money and becoming a conduit for flow.
We also talked about one of my favorite topics of late, what is not useful about the Law of Attraction, befriending the harsh judgmental parts of growth and healing, the relationship between reciprocity and deserving, how we handle loss and practices for letting go, and more.
It's a deep and winding conversation - I hope you love and look forward to hearing what resonates with you!
xo,
E

Tosha says when talking about people and groups who are marginalized:
"...have gotten the foot on their neck..." Prophetic...
She also refers to Pema Chodron and brings the interview back to a more substantive place when it wanders off...
She speaks with gravitas. A truly special soul who has brought love and divinity to soooo many.
Loved Outrageous Openess so much I went to see her give a talk in SF a few years ago. She's a very gifted speaker and answered our questions with specificity and clarity. Also, went to smash coconuts on the beach wall at Ocean Beach. Felt good, just like Tosah says...
Ms. Silver, Bravo for your wonderful ideas and good work!
:)

Thank you for sharing this🧡
At 56:00, you spoke directly to my inner core. i'm SO TIRED of "trying" to figure my life out. i'm exhausted. maybe i am on the threshold now. i have started to read the "Not your money" book - my bottom has fallen out, but i have had your book since it was published.... now i can't endure my current situation. i've painted myself into a corner. now i want the paint to dry so i can walk out and change my life.
What an insightful interview with so much depth.
It's just what I needed to hear😍 thank you so much!
Wow that was SOME INTRODUCTION. Obviously my 1st time.. I came to listen to Tosha...and Now, appears ALOT MORE..Thank You
Thank you! This was inspiring and up lifting.
Love this interview and love Tosha! This is a huge topic in my work with my clients too. Great questions Elizabeth!

What is the law that she talks about in 22:17?
Pravda karma I think
I was curious as well. I found this on her website:
There’s a Sanskrit term, “Parabdha Karma:" the lessons that someone came to learn in a given life. A Divine AGENDA that a soul comes to master far beyond what the ego could request or even imagine.
what kind of karma??
I find it fatiguing to listen to Interviewers who interject 'like'... repeatedly . Too bad the content is engaging.
been working on getting it out of my vernacular for so long... don't even realize when I'm doing it! Glad you know what works for you and what doesn't
@@ElizabethDiAlto your answer really illustrates your practice of openness. Plus your last name also is an expression of “highness”. 🙏🏻🌷
@@ElizabethDiAlto This conversation was so engaging, you can say "like" as much as you want. :) I'll still "like" and enjoy it.
