- Today I install my Safety Devices Roll Over Bar with custom made mountings along with a pair of heavy duty Bumperettes.
find out what challenges I come up against and my overall opinion with the end result.

Really like it, the roll bar helps with the proportions of the vehicle, they can look a little awkward. 👍
Thank you! I hated it when I originally put it in the back to measure up but now its in the right place I dont mind it. Especially with the Bumperettes.

Hi mate could you recommend a company to blast all my roll cage and do a really good job powder coating it . Not many companies i can find that will blast my powder coating of. And i would rather pay more for a properly prepped job and care been taken with the job. My cage is like a wolf 90 . Theres quite abit too it . Thanks

Tom hope all is well, quick question,as you are experienced with the 2.4 TDCI engines: I was on a trip with my 110 sw tdci and experienced power loss, stopped the car, restarted it went back to normal and did this several more times on my 8 hour drive. I am not a mechanic, searched the issue, many advices from the forums, however the problem was 2 fold; repair of variable geometry wiring (cable) of the turbo & a dirty air filter. Appreciate your insight and comment. I am trying to gain knowledge on what I drive, very temperamental!
A common problem that causes power loss is split turbo pipes or intercooler. If this is the case you experience power loss, black smoke and a whooshing sound when accelerating, this then puts the engine into limp mode which limits power. Swtiching the engine off and restarting will reset the ecu until it registers the fault. The turbo wiring I have come across but it will put the EML light on the dash.
You really need to have the ecu scanned to see what fault code has been saved and that will give you an idea what fault you need to look for. Usually a split pipe will give you an overboost fault.

Thank you. In all honesty I dont think they make them anymore. Ive seen another brand on ebay but the prices are eye watering!

I would paint all the black things white...
The light surrounds and grills were all white when I bought it along with galv bumper. Looked alright the rust from the paint coming off made it look old. Fair few dents in the wings to go with it 🤣

I have a question please, i am going through all of your previous videos and i saw one about refurbishing your side steps, i will be undertaking this in the future weeks as mine are showing signs of surface rust, would you mind telling me what rivets you used please, size, stainless steel etc? and where you got them please, would you also suggest powder coating or paint, if paint what did you use please bud?

Thank you. Yes catch them early as they rot quickly. They were stripped down and blasted to removw all the paint then powder coated.
I am sure the rivets were 7mm Aluminium peel backs. Deffo know they are aluminium as I didnt want them reacting to the tread plate.
