'Dieback' is when the clear coat loses its gloss. Almost like it was sprayed on dry. Its your bodywork that's showing from the inspection spray. It's not called dieback, it's your bodywork. To fix it you need to block sand the area again with guide coat until it's flat. Then you can use the inspection spray to double check it again.
Awesome tip,it's like clearcoat. Even when u sure of ur blocking and swear its perfect, that final clearcoat sometimes finds something. I'll try ur trick before I spray final product on my next project.
One side note i used straight up W&G remover solvent to check body work satges.. Big mistake on my part it attacked all the feathered filler edges to the epoxy ground coat. i learned that from Eastwood shows with Kevin T. Well after many$$$$ found out that was a big mistake. Is your ``final wipe the same as Water bourne w&g so scared to use the harsh w&g on anything but bare metal now. Maybe just water over panels and make sure it eveaps really well before continuing.
Great tips and nice demonstration! I never even knew such a product existed. That wet shiny coat makes it as easy as it could possibly be to see the imperfections. I am curious if you do the same on sharp curved surfaces like a motorcycle tank, if the same process works? Glad I found you through that duck fellow, a lot of body guys on UA-cam seem like just a bunch of BS, like what they are doing is some unattainable magic and just talk about crap without showing the details.. I like how you break it down with practical demonstrations on real parts. Not just a bunch of bluster and drama. Best!
Take your time with the mods you are doing they are coming along great! we will always have the time to take care of her! No deadline needed... just when we can and when you are good... dont kill yourself on a crunch... I am on crunch time down here for the current work only!
Top work. such a eye for detail and perfection. I'm so looking forward to watching you work on Glyn the duck man's car Eleanor. Please keep on putting you'r videos out with tips and just great work. It's a pleasure to watch & see such good work...

If you can get TCI final wipe, will not do that. final wipe wont harm any of your work.

So when you mention 1 gallon equals 2 with reducer. Would a 1970 Nova be enough with 1 gallon of base?
as someone new to body work, could you explain the terms you use in your vids plz.
Will do another Vlog a little more in depth ... This one was just a basic final cleaner over a panel to verify work... thank you!
Die-back is why Eleanore is gonna be gone a while! Haha!

If a chevelle needed minor body work to have it ready to paint...any idea how many hrs you would estimate to have it ready to be painted?
