We camped there two weeks, twice this summer. We're not climbers, but learning geology. Flies can be extreme in Spring. These rocks are 1.5 BILLION Years old, some of the oldest rock in North America. The granite cooled VERY slowly underground, so the rock is hard as hell, and the pebbles are mostly quartz crystals in granite, so the friction is amazing, but it's super hard rock all over. Turtle Rock is a great hike. We had a moose family go right by our motorhome on the way to the wetland below! The bull moose looked into our windshield at us. Shopping in Laramie is great, and there is a geology museum in town, free. Go learn!
Nice channel man! Great info and videos! I appreciate you making these films for people who may never get to check out these places! Keep up the great work and I hope you’re having fun! By the way, I found your channel from your Crack Attack 5.9 video on Mountain Project.

There is never an issue for campsites even on the 4th. Especially on the free camping
