Come climb with us.....
We're just a group of guys climbing and having fun. Our goal is to gain more trad experience and along the way share our experiences, do some gear reviews and enjoy a couple of crag beers.

Uncut Send - Burliers Bane
In this video Charles sends his first 5.12a. Burlier's Bane located at the Undertow Wall in the Motherlode area of The Red River Gorge. Its slightly overhanging with good pinches and cross through moves. Definitely worth checking out if you are in the area.

Uncut Send - Cougar Love
Переглядів 1017 місяців тому
In this video Jeff is sending "Cougar Love" 5.11b located on the Beaver Wall Right in the north canyon at Jackson Falls. This wall has a small selection of quality moderate and vertical climbs. I found this one to be pretty tough for the grade initially but after working out the beta details it started to make sense for the grade. It is somewhat sustained and can be broken down into a series of...

Great video! Adam is such a crusher!!💪🏻
Thanks for sharing - great send
Nice! Looks smooth!💪🏻
This looks awesome. Great work Joe!
Awesome!
From Janesville, Wisconsin, here. I have been to a couple of gyms, but I really want to climb outside. I'm looking to climb before snow falls. I could imagine the view would be beautiful. I found your video first. Thanks for leading the way!!
Congrats Master!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Any question if possible : How to Join Two Ropes for Rappelling: What is the best, safest knot to join a 10mm diameter rope with a 5.5 or 6mm cord. Kevlar or nylon cord: What is the best knot? Thank you very much for your reply. Best Wishes. 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I like it
Interesting😮
Mesa Rim!
love the intro!
Great climb, just got this one yesterday. Couple tough moves for 11b, but the rests are great.
I managed to tie a noose
Thank you for the good review. Could you please let me know the size of the harness and the waist circumference, if that is ok with you? I'm a 83 cm waist which is about the end of spectrum for M.
Being right at the end of range I suspect that you would be best to size up. However it can be a little tricky at the ends of the range because even the clothes you wear with the harness can make a critical difference. I would recommend trying one on if that's an option. Since Mammut sizes their harnesses consistently you should be able to try any model to verify size. Hopefully your local shop has an option for you.
Those noises 😂
Man I suck at slab. Good job, Jeff.
Love this climb! I’ve toproped it many times by myself. I thought it was impossible first time getting on it!!
That was an awesome send!! That bottom looked crazy hard! Great job putting it together so quick.
I was only 1 year old when this route saw its first ascent. Thank you Eric Ulner! If joe posted a video of all the attempts I took to figure out the bottom, it would be about 10 times as long as this video.
The hair flip and music just make this video! I really need Jeffe’s hair care routine.
ive wanted this so long, everytime i take the dogwalk i check it, and ive never seen it dry enough to climb. short but awesome looking.
Nice Joe! Sequences look super dialed.
Not an instructional video on how to tie the knots, Just a discussion on knots
Is the last heuco the finish ? The one he rolls into
It ends at the last hueco. From there you can stand up and clip the chains.
@@elevatedreality awesome thanks ! Looking for my first 5.12 at the red and Swedish fish caught my eye in the guidebook. Any other good recommendations for first twelves ?
@peterservis3200 so many good routes at the red that its hard to make recommendations. Swedish Fish is a real test piece for the grade. Its an exhausting route. Some other great options might be Ro Shampo, Release the Kraken, Snozzberries, Starry Night, Twinkie, or my personal favorite Hipocrite. You can't go wrong with any of these routes.
@@elevatedreality it will be my third trip there and I smashed some 11s the other time so I’m excited and have been training immensely. Thanks for the recommendations and maybe I’ll upload some content of the sends!
@@peterservis3200 Ro Shampo is mega soft....More like 11c. Starry Night is also soft for the grade. But both are super fun. Swedish Fish is an incredible climb, but very long and pumpy! Another fun 12a is Naked Lunch at Drive-by Crag.
The big problem is placing a knot in dynema, you loose 50% of the strength.
According to the How Not 2 test video, it's still quite strong (even better with Nylon though) ua-cam.com/video/5z1pA7BKiQw/v-deo.htmlsi=6cqsAuZ6lk5p0Egp
Come si capisce se è da cambiare? Diventa completamente rosso?
We camped there two weeks, twice this summer. We're not climbers, but learning geology. Flies can be extreme in Spring. These rocks are 1.5 BILLION Years old, some of the oldest rock in North America. The granite cooled VERY slowly underground, so the rock is hard as hell, and the pebbles are mostly quartz crystals in granite, so the friction is amazing, but it's super hard rock all over. Turtle Rock is a great hike. We had a moose family go right by our motorhome on the way to the wetland below! The bull moose looked into our windshield at us. Shopping in Laramie is great, and there is a geology museum in town, free. Go learn!
Super smooth my guy 👊
That looks very fun.
Nice work! Def a sweet Climb!
Great send!
Crazy rock. Cool video and great tunage as always!
nice work dude
Seems great if you are limited on gear
great video thank you
Love the feet cutting loose on that big crux move!! Great video!
'Promo SM'
As someone from a country which has no climbing facilities this video is amazing
Thanks for posting! That was a fun weekend!
Nice!!! Awesome send!🎉 Looked very smooth and strong!💪🏻
Starting with this thing clipped into the second bolt is basically the same as top-roping the whole thing.
I like your channel for the views of the rock. You seem like a nice guy. I think your UA-cam channel could be ALOT better and please don’t take that the wrong way. I just think you could reach more people by more clever scripting, saracastic humor, livelier crew and some guys or gals who climb in a more variety of ways . 5.8-11 is cool. Definitely a demographic there, but some more 12’s and 13’s would do ya nice with some more multipitch or perhaps having someone with a keen eye for fa’s
That’s a really good climb.
How are those rear gear loops for trad gear? Are they too floppy?
Although this is an amazing harness, it is definitely not appropriate for trad. This is my sport climbing harness. The rear loops would be horrible for gear and I wouldn't want to hang in it for long periods of time. Its the best sport climbing harness I have ever used, but for trad climbing I use a Misty Mountain harness. The Misty mountain harnesses are pricey but they can be customized to meet your needs and the one I have is extremely comfortable for all day multi-pitch trad climbing. Hope that helps.
Way to go. That looks like a super challenging slab for sure! Moves looked super smooth!
Awesome job!! Man, that bottom section is Hard!!
You need to hop onto some of the trad classics like the Conn Diagonal on Outer Outlet.
Glad you are getting out and enjoying the Black Hills. Lots of climbing opportunities.
Sweet! this helpful, I am going to go get myself some cordelette and start practicing my anchors. Do you use static or dynamic?
This is a link to the accessory cord I use and would recommend. sterlingrope.com/7mm-accessory-cords/
