    We have completed the Major Order, but there seems to be a glitch in the matrix. Want to equip 2 mechs in the same loadout? You can't! (unless you are on PC and use a trick) Here's what Arrowhead has to say about equipping multiple mechs, and it feels a bit off to me. Arrowhead's new CEO takes to Reddit and there are questions about Sony and the studio. Also, it's been 3 weeks since the PSN login requirement was removed, but the 170+ countries, regions and territories have not been restored. What is SONY trying to do? Is the silent treatment going to work?

      Regarding the limited mechs being a server-side issue, as a dev myself, I can certainly say that it's very plausible. It all depends on implementation: how much code you layer on and how, the engine itself, collision mesh complexity, tick updates, and so on and on... let's just say a LOT needs to happen for a simple mech to be playable online in a game that isn't strictly about mechs, so it's easy to introduce a bug by accident... SOMEWHERE. But it's not an unsolvable issue (at least I hope not). They just need to identify the problem, and once they do, you'll have your unlimited mechs.

      I have to respectfully disagree with your take on the "math not adding up" with respect to AGS' reasons for not being able to allow multiple mech strats. I think it's a little unfair to use skeptical cynicism by saying, "well this, this and this happens while this this and this is going on at the same time, so why?" The reason being, and I mean this in the most respectful way, is that we don't know what the limitations are of the engine for this game from a tech perspective. We don't know how much RAM it takes or needed. We don't know how it would affect the framerate or overall performance. We certainly don't know how implementing this would impact the game overall if AGS allowed it. Sure, I understand the laymen thought process of common sense, but when there's a lack of expertise and knowledge about how things work on AGS' end with respect to game engine, taking cynicism approach doesn't benefit anyone really. Especially since, for better or worse, AGS has probably been one of the most transparent devs in the industry. So what benefit would it be for them to start lying to their player base now? All I'm saying is to take what I said into consideration.

      my prediction on "the patch" is they are going to reach beyond their capability by implementing too many changes in one patch to track down and identify/fix the bugs that get implemented with the patch. furthering their growing reputation for ineptitude regarding live service, wasted potential, and disappointed helldivers. sincerely hoping i'm wrong on this one. As a level 143 pc master race that plays with crossplay disable it's a ghost town in matchmaking for pc gamers who play with crossplay disabled.

      @@GGBlaster The only time enemies get warnings about being in artillery range of General Brasch is when he's using enemy artillery as grenades to take out other enemy artillery. Also General Brasch doesn't have a range. He has moods. Some times he's in a bug stomp'n mood. Some times he's in a bot smash'n mood. Some times he's in a scorched galaxy kind of mood. It's less about "being in range" of him and more of "being anywhere within the direction he's facing when he gets in a mood."
      He also took an entire sector's worth of Bot Signal Jammers, spread them across his 500kg bomb freedom toast, and formally declared it to be part of a balanced patriotic breakfast along with a tall glass of freshly squeezed E-710.
      If you're thinking that those things aren't even edible, you ain't General Brasch.

      General Brasch doesn't give warnings. He gives ultimatums and final notices. Enemies do not hear, "Warning, you are within range of General Brasch Artillery." All they hear is, "General Brasch is here. Farewell" Very different from a warning. A warning would imply they have a chance of surviving their encounter with General Brasch.
      The last person to "survive" an antagonistic encounter with General Brasch only did so because it took 3 minutes for Brasch to hurl the nearest boulder to him across 12 sectors to hit the super destroyer of the sorry traitor still in FTL travel to finish the job. And that's the current record. 3 minutes and 24.58 seconds after pissing off the General. How? .....General Brasch doesn't boop no snoot. . . . . . . .

      if they do this shit again, i'm going to ask for a refund and encourage everyone to ask for a massive refund.
      they still haven't unblocked the country's from purchasing the game, they have done shot themselves on the fucking foot for allowing sony to do this.
      and the new ceo saying "We need to stick together with Sony",
      isn't a reassurance.
      Especially when they were planning to ban us or brick our games if we did't sign up to PSN, that left a bad taste for everyone.
      They lost our Trust and now ever since then it's been holding everyones Feet to the Fire, Both AH and Sony.
      We have to constantly do this, so that they don't try to bait and switch like they did in the past.
      We will get our Money back, if they refuse to Let us Play like we did since Day One.

    Just so you folks understand: Sony is a HUGE corporation. This isn't like EA or Microsoft or even Apple where their entire focus is on electronics and gaming. Sony owns several diverse companies and makes everything from hardware to movies. Their gaming division is only a part of the machine, so even if HD2 is their best selling game, they don't care one bit about players...especially PC players. They only care about selling their own product and that's it. The only way to hurt them or force them is to hurt that product badly enough for someone to care.
    So this isn't Sony hiding from us. This is Sony thinking PC players don't fucking matter and not giving enough of a shit about the game to think it worthy of a response.

      you're actually off by thinking Sony even the whole group as the top hat they are part of a part of mega groups which you never hear about and don't know the names the likes of blackrock and vanguard but 1-2 steps above even them, years ago a french journalists did the octopus mapping of who owned who (be it in shares or other ways of influence) Sony was not on top of the food chain but they were in it, he explained how and why company x that had zero to do with music for example windmills was suddenly in partnership with a sony music artist out of nowhere that's what triggered him to investigate

      This is sort of untrue. The people in charge of the Sony games division don't want to lose their jobs. At the very least the underlings are pressuring the various boards of their separate gaming divisions to stop fucking up. Companies are not hive minds, often times they can collapse due to internal strife and worker fatigue. I've seen it a couple times that a successful company gets taken down by a stupidly illegal external force or the internal affairs just being unbearable to work in, whether that be conditions or just how the company is doing financially. Even a successful and stable worker gets pissed off when their over-boss is stressed out because boards keep making moronic decisions.

      @@SideBit This is true. I worked for several companies varying in numbers of employees and the bigger the company gets the worse the internal communication gets. It may be example of some petty middle manager that wanted that promotion and decided to force players to make that account thinking it's not a big deal. Now when the fuck up came out there may be some chaos in the company itself. Sadly we will either never know or some whistleblower will come out and shine some light on the issue.

      That is literally a Steam thing if you cannot view the Steam store page. That has nothing to do with PSN, idiots need to quit trying to push this 170 countries bullshit. Steam is only available in 137 out of 194 countries, IF one cannot play the game on PC its because Steam isn't available in said country. in no universe is it anything close to 170 countries its 53

      Just like how the same ship that delivers the mech anywhere on the map in seconds is the same ship as the one that extracts the 20 scientists in seconds yet when it comes to extracting helldiver's being 4 humans just like the scientists it takes minutes and only in 1 section of the map.

      I agree it sounds like an excuse BUT you have to remember when making mods or games that when you're coding it you don't do it for regular play, you do it at the max level to ensure it works under the heaviest load. Meaning maybe they tested the code WHILE those 10 titans were there and it caused a crash. Maybe the 10 titans they found were the max level the program could handle on whatever system they determined is the average processing power of a game player. That's another thing to consider, if I make a game or mod using a top tier system as the gold standard then of course all the regular players will crash or be unplayable. It's a weird thing we get stuck balancing with design, you have to look at the lowest average player PC/game system processing ability then the max level it can run with your coding. So theoretically it is possible that's the real reason. I doubt it, but maybe. That's honestly bottom tier issue that needs to be focused on rn now

      The game will be primarily focused around PS5 hardware so I'm sure if 10 bile titans are max on PS5 then it will be fine for the majority of PC gamers since PC gamers CAN alter their hardware to compensate whereas the console environment is closed. This is generally how all games are today since consoles are the primary platform.

      The mech ship is different. The models aren’t the same.
      Same might be applied to evac missions. Can’t say for sure, haven’t seen that model.

    Yeah that always been annoying to me. Enemies keep getting buffs and can candle near MASSIVE amounts of hordes and vehicles, and we can't get 2 mechs. Man it's gonna be a LONG time before we get vehicles😮‍💨

      It's a resource problem. Not a code problem. If you only have 10 blocks of resources and 2 Mechs takes 11 blocks. Will it run? Yes? Will it run stable? No.

      What @KaizerWarrex said, and also the coding between mission-specific stratagems is likely different compared to the players choosing their own stratagems. Just because 1 specific thing works doesn't mean another, albeit similar, thing works too.

      I stepped away for a whole Baldurs Gate playthrough. Came back, and the only good thing that changed is that fire works (unless I missed something and it doesn’t)

      @@litewrk8655 They fixed fire burning damage working for players other than the host, but then reduced the damage by 25%. You now need the upgrade to get old host fire power back to the game; and if you liked the buffed fire damage, then you'll be disappointed when you use it.

      I haven't played much since the patch that messed with the patrol spawn rates. As I mostly play solo, and occasionally duos with my brother, the game got much more frustrating so I'll give it another shot after the changes are made. Until then I'm having fun with Fallout 76

      @@litewrk8655 like most of the weapons have been buffed. Most weapons feel super great. The community just focuses on the nerfs to the Erupter and the obviously overpowered stratagem.
      Exceptions are the lib con.

      It's not to make way for something else. It's just that a live service games that doesn't FORCE engagement isn't viable for Sony's evil schemes. Typical Live Service should be squeezing you on a regular basis. I haven't touched HD2 in a few weeks. Sony doesn't like that.

      @@chiquikris171 Well those second generation Helldivers (first ones beign from the first days of Super Earth) are utter fucking badasses in comparison too, they weren't overly fanatics and kept a cool head on their shoulders, and only 4 of them dealt with faction bosses, cleared difficulty 15(!) missions that makes difficulty 9 helldive seem like a walk in the park, i am proud to call myself a veteran too (still holding the fronts in HD1 💪)
      Super Earth were also noticeably more serious and dare i say humane in HD1 than in HD2, i love the satire of HD, but i think they went a bit too overboard with it in 2

      @@ChairmanLevi Except that they wasn't, they simply didn't worked on the basis as HD2 mechs, they had higher HP pool instead of armor system seen on enemies (bcs balance), armor pen and how weapons worked was different too, but they did what they were meant to do, which is to support ground assault, not to lead it, Lumberer tho could deal with basicly everything, all i needed really for the bosses is 4 Lumberer mechs and thats it. Plus mechs were better suited for different factions, Obsidian (emancipator's predecessor) was great against Illuminates as they lacked heavily armored units, plus it had 500 rounds, 250 in each arm, Patriot was better suited against the Cyborgs and the Lumberer against Bugs and bosses

      It was brutal last night. Playing level 7.normally I die once or twice but last night every match was non so swarms. Not even 10 seconds without one. No exploring. We failed to extract every mission. Never seen it that intense. We were rank 42- 105 and got stomped. It mainly was those armored spitters, and face jumpers , non stop chargers and bile titans were not as intense but we were always fighting at least 1.

    Also, why is it that all other strats can be reloaded, but we’re not able to reload the mechs? I should be able to get out of my mech and call down a supply strat, a full call down should be required to fully load a mech, and physically reload myself or have myself inside the mech while other divers reloads me. Yes, this gives me more time inside my mech, but as you have said, we are having bugs and bots thrown at us left and right.

      Its not even just the nerfs. Everything was fine at first, but all the skill issue players out numbered us returning players. And they started to nerf the enemy for the skill issue players. This is where all the balance issues came in. But people fail to realize that, that happened. There was a large wave of lames claiming the game was too hard. Several reps from arrowhead lost their jobs defending the game in discord over this. After the sony business happened, most people left and now were stuck with the nerf culture clowns. So its more the community politics of wimp man babies and arrowheads duffy acts thats killing the game. At this point im looking forward to sept 9th for space marine. All this broke my heart because Helldivers 1 was my fav game ever!! Now that hd2 has fallen victim to the reality of it all that this planet is stuck with soft ass humans who cry about losing instead of sucking less, the game is dead now. We’ve been stuck two sectors away from super earth for two months and nobody noticed. But they still complain about losing and weapon balancing. When weve been stuck fighting over the same planets this long its boring now. Im tired if everybody and over this shit…

    the sony delisting still doesn't add, i googled it their available in 93 countries meaning only 102-104 places should not have psn, that means that they delisted more nations then their own criteria required.     It blows my mind how many of these games have some initial success and DON'T immediately hire a whole team of bug fixers, especially for these live service games. All the game breaking bugs are crazy. It's insane that people are still losing multiple missions per day.

      As far as i know they work on an engine that was discontinued, so that much spaghetti code would need atleast 1-2 months of training for new hires. Also they risk hiring more staff for an emergency fix and then having to make layoffs, and i think they said they don't want to do that

    As to Mechs being resource intensive, it depends on the specifics on how its implemented.
    Let's take this to the extreme as that is probably where the issues actually are. 4 divers with 2 mechs each means 8 mechs total. The game may need to keep all 8 mechs loaded in the world (rather than de-loading them to free up memory if you walk far enough away from them) and if you place them all throughout the map AND have no one inside of them because they are out of ammo, you now have 12 objects demanding their surroundings be loaded in-game, and that might be a lot for the system as of now. As someone with experience in the software industry, their explanation is plausible and good enough in my opinion for now.

      Not even just 2 each, keep in mind they have to account for the second call in and even event days where a third mech is given for free. Theoretically, you could get up to 20 mechs on the ground.
      But if they gave us the event they know they can handle more than 1 mech per person.

I have heard people say the last balance patch had so many buffs. Those "buffs" changed next to nothing. I never said I would stop playing, although I already have, I said they would have lied to us. Again. If they did a good faith patch or even an eta on the balance patch there would be far less pressure.

      And agreed, releasing at least something, or providing an eta, would put the public mind at ease. As a software developer myself, I don’t like the idea of promising deadlines, as they very quickly lead to overtime, overwork, and ultimately burnout. And as I’ve heard, the burnout is especially bad in game development.
      However, this does not mean that the developers _have_ to be all hush hush about _all_ of the upcoming changes. In particular, they can tell us about guns they’ve already buffed or are currently buffing, because (a) those are already in the game, (b) they’re the community’s #1 topic of interest for the patch, and (c) said information is highly unlikely to spoil any upcoming events in the game.
      So, to your point, just that extra measure of transparency would go a long way to addressing community concerns.

      Because the game can somehow support hundreds of automatons with hulks and 10+ bile titans, chargers, and hordes of spewers but not 4 mechs roaming around? The math doesn't add up. Hell what are the shredder and annihilator tanks classified as? I've had 15 of those on my map at the same time before on a helldive gone way wrong and the game still performed like a champ. The community isn't stupid and we don't like answers that hide the truth because it looks like a sign of disrespect when the guys at arrowhead give us a "techy" answer hoping we'll shut up.

      The first Helldivers game you could use the level one kit and solo a level 15 mission. The weapons you could use were much stronger than what we have now and the hordes in many cases were smaller. No one felt too powerful to very long. Were there meta weapons that could carry you easily? Yes. Could you solo levels with them purely banking on the fact those weapons were too strong? Absolutely not. There is nothing wrong with making the playerbase Overpowered because nothing they give us will help us survive a swarm.

    I don't believe Arrowhead had as much control over the whole PSN account linking as people believe. I am sure that was contractual upon signing with Sony as the publisher. As far as Johan looking past HD2 into a future project, I have no idea where that is coming from. Since his step OVER to CCO he has been completely focused on patch development and future game development/updates. There is a reason that the new patch hasn't come out yet - because Johan has taken over the Chief Content Officer: he's making sure it is tested and working/functional with minimal issues before launching. Personally, I think people should see the patch delays as a GOOD sign, not a bad sign. I myself would much prefer a once a month patch that has been tested thoroughly before release, rather than the rushed hot garbage that the patching system has been over the past few months.

    I can only speculate. But one possibility is that the initial engine and/or game design didn't plan for mechs/vehicles (or just had them as a low priority feature to worry about later) but were instead shoehorned in later in a way that isn't necessarily as efficient as other systems. But also keep in mind that AI is completely server-side, whereas mech control is client-side, which has to be to synchronized to the server before it can be sent back out to clients. So there's some weird back and forth there going on between the clients and server that isn't necessarily relevant for other entities like enemies and projectiles.

    The grenade launcher cannot stand on its own legs balance wise, but when paired with a supply pack you can feed yourself reloads, stims, and grenades like mad. I feel like a walking Eagle Airstrike with that combo on bugs. I can't recommend it for bots though, I much prefer precision weapons for them.

      I really like the grenade launcher. Not sure why people say it does low dmg. It kills light bugs in 1 shot and medium bugs in 2-3 shots and everything light armored near them... bile spewers in 1-2 shots. Albeit requires a few shots, it kills chargers as well if shooting under their belly or in their butts

    On the vehicle resource requirement. There are two possibilities:
    1. the devs are lying and it's all a conspiracy to make us weaker.
    2. Helldiver vehicles are considerably more complicated due to things like ammo capacity, hud, movement characteristics, aiming, etc. And they are trying to make them less likely to lag people out of games before letting us run wild with them. Probably because they know how much people already complain about the servers in the first place. This would also explain why they've been so hesitant to bring out new vehicles despite them being basically finished according to several leaks and hackers bringing them into games anyway.
    Which sounds more likely to you?

    In my opinion. When a company makes this drastic of a change and then doesn't revert back to prepatch settings when they said they would 'roll things back'. They were lying and are trying to wait things out. Make you enjoy the nerfing that they have been proactively pushing. Any time we enjoy something, they nerf it. Especially when it is paid content. They the people that are in charge of 'balancing' have no idea what the people that are actually making the game are doing. Clearly obvious with how disconnected they are with the features of the Eruptor. Which has been constantly hit with nerf after nerf for two weeks straight. Calling something a 'buff' when it was an absolute nerf is a tool move. Saying something was an 'exploit' when it is the description of the weapon.... just wow. So disconnected from the makers. If you have people that are 'balancing' things without knowing what the makers are making and screwing the players over. You deserve all the heat and negativity. That person in charge should be removed from their position or demoted.

    Software development allows for extreme degrees of freestyle, which is, simply put, a double-edged sword.
    As a simple example, suppose we want a computer program to add the numbers 2 and 2. An obvious approach is to simply tell the computer to run “2 + 2” and spit out the result. However, we could also say “hey, those are the same number, so let’s tell the computer to multiply one of them by two instead!” Or, for the particularly maniacal, you can break down both numbers into 4 million instances of 0.000004, and then add all those itty bitty numbers together.
    Differences in how a programmer approaches a problem can mean the difference between a program that runs within 5 milliseconds and a program that runs for 5 weeks.
    The devs came into hd2 knowing that they would need to handle hundreds of enemies, thousands of bullets, etc., and so they made sure to optimize the respective code as much as possible. However, this hyper focus could have inadvertently led to the devs neglecting best practices when writing exosuit/vehicle code. This is especially plausible if devs are ever rushed to get something ready for the next patch.
    I could dive a bit deeper into the intricacies of space and time complexity, but to spare you the lecture, I’ll simply close by saying that software development is a constant struggle to solve a given problem in as few steps as possible and with as little memory as possible.

    Johan explicitly stated that he isn’t done with the company. He’s just moving to the game design portion because that’s what he loves to do and also that way he can ensure that we are getting the vision that he originally designed as opposed to the mass surfing of everything as a “solution”

    People are completely missing one important fact about the whole blocked regions issue. Sony is not blocking these countries just for the fun of it. A great many of the blocked countries don't have PSN because of laws and regulations that make it very hard and or unprofitable to operate there. There's literally nothing Sony can do about that. The governments of those countries are the ones in charge of that. The second aspect is that more than a few of the blocked countries can still buy the game, but it's a separate version provided by a local distributor. This is the case for a myriad of reasons. The easiest to explain is Japan.
    Sony is a Japanese company right? Playstation is a Japanese product right? Yet they are on the blocked countries list. The reason they are on that list is because there is a completely separate version of the game specifically for Japan. This version isolates the in game currency aspect from all other versions of the game. This is due to laws regarding in game currency, which must be returned to the purchaser under certain conditions. It is also related to which banks and credit card companies are allowed to operate in Japan. In game transactions must go through a separate "middle man" because there's no way to disallow in game purchases from certain banks/credit card companies without that process being isolated from the rest of the world. I think if people did a little more research into the deeper aspects of this situation, they would find that it is nowhere near as sinister or one sided as it is being portrayed. Don't take me as defending Sony because I'm not, that is just the reality of the situation.

      I think I understand what you are saying.
      Correct me if I'm wrong this means that the region blocking is more due to a legal issue (government laws in those regions) than just Sony doing it for fun.
      Hopefully this means it's just them playing it safe till Sony gets all the legal details done then.

    Well you should understand mechs are probably data heavy and remember that there were many crashes for calling in too many strats in the past so I feel it's totally possible that a team calling in 8+ mechanism in one mission could also cause similar problems

    I posted this on Reddit since I don’t have x:
    So between the latest mech that’s come out and the latest warbond, I started thinking of a wishlist that hopefully the devs will at least consider for the game.
    1: RESUPPLY FOR MECHS: after playing with a couple friends and everyone calling down the mechs that were just unlocked, the number of suits that were administering freedom was amazing (tears for democracy). But then after only a couple minutes….all the suits were abandoned because they were out of ammo. We need some type of resupply call down that goes with the mech even if you have to carry it like a large item and have a few second reload for the suit compared to abandoning it
    2: Primary/Secondary Weapon Mods: After buying every stratagem, and constantly having 50k cash, have a 4th tab in ship customization for extra mags, extended mags, reduce recoil, increase rate of fire etc options for primary and secondary weapons in the 4th tab. Better armor pen, rate of fire, explosive AOE increase, and make it for stratagem. Even if we were only allowed to take 2 or 3 weapon mods would still give primaries and secondaries an extra much needed buff.
    3: Market for Extra Cash: If the devs implemented the above ideas there would still be back up to 50k probably pretty quickly so being able to spend on samples either with other players or with the system so that there is more incentive to keep getting the money
    4: Mech Customization: Be able to upgrade the mechs to each users preferred play style. Dual rockets, sure! Couple mini guns for the hordes, you got it! Flamethrower and shotgun, up close and personal with the enemies of democracy! And just like the other options, have the mechs be able to be upgraded with larger AOE, more ammo, faster rate of fire etc.
    EDIT:
    5: Armor Workbench: Customize armor and the passives, so players can tune their armors to their play style, one major one minor passive on your favorite armor

    I didn't even realize that one couldn't bring both mechs into battle until I read about it on reddit. It just happened that I always happen to bring one of the stratagems that lets the game allow both mechs when picked in a certain order. I haven't had any problems using both mechs so far during the same mission.

    I'm okay with them taking their time. Because honestly they need to fix their balance team before anything else. It doesn't matter if they managed to fix stuff this patch if by the next one the balance team returns to nerf everything.

      that was for the period of time where you got the emancipator for "free" on every drop. their narrative of stability is probably bs considering entire 4 stacks ran both mechs during that period and were totally fine

    I don't think that Sony will remove the restrictions nor the requirement for PSN account linking on PC. At least, not without another massive uprising, and that's just not going to happen until they come back to push the PSN requirement. They absolutely will try again, and they might not give the warning they did last time, throwing all of the non-PSN territory players out the door. All Sony sees with this game is the potential to boost their shareholder confidence in future growth, that's it.
    As long as they get those PSN accounts linked, they will declare victory at the next shareholder meeting and move on to the next flim flam, not caring if the game lives or dies. The game is a vehicle for account signups, breaking further into the PC market, it's viability or success is just icing on the cake for them. I'm pretty certain they've already written off all the non-PSN territory players and they figure that at least 1/2 of the current non-linked players will sign up because they don't know or don't care.

    Theory: Since they never expected the game to take off like it did, they needed to slow it down so they can get back on top of it. How to slow it down? Make a load of unpopular choices that make people want to stop playing and prevent new players from starting to play. Meanwhile they can fortify the servers, the codebase, the bugfixes, and then when its all ready undo the changes that made people go away and hope that the remaining players will shout from the rooftops that it more amazing than ever.
    When you look at it, restricting all of those countries is a perfect way to slow it down. It doesn't make financial sense to do that because they must have been making millions every day or week. Nerfing the fun will also reduce server load and lessen the likelyhood of people recommending to friends to buy it. Both things not good for financial reasons.
    It seems logical that its to slow it down to me.
    They can't just turn the game off while they fix bugs, but they can slow it down. It takes time to hire more team that have the experience to bolster everything for a higher playerbase.
    Anyway, it's just a theory.

    I think my biggest gripe with the patch frequency is that I've seen games that are being developed by one dude get small patches every other day that incrementally make the game better and better as it goes and makes the community feel like the dev actually cares about the game. No patch is very large, usually just one or two things are changed, but those changes are meaningful and the community can give immediate feedback to the dev so he can either move forward with working on the next small change or roll it back if the patch was not well received.
    With HD2, the community is asking for more frequent patches that address our concerns more regularly. Fix the Spear, that could have already been done in a small patch. Revert the Eruptor nerf, that could have easily been done. Revert the Railgun nerf, easily done. Arrowhead needs to do smaller, more frequent patches so it feels like they care about the community more than they do now with such huge gaps between changes.

      And if this new patch is lackluster again, I do believe that all that vitriol that was pointed at sony will be turned twords them. We waited for now a month with no word on what would be in it so everyone is going to their own conclusions on what it will be so when it does drop and it's only like maybe the spawn rate reduction and a couple bug fixes it's going to go down hill.
      We need new things to do, and to enjoy the new mech is okay at bots, but the atomatons are still frustrating to play against. Plus, with everyone using the same load outs doing the same missions over and over, it's only getting more frustrating that we have no word on anything new.

      Everyone and their mother has evidence of PlayStations tweet, but that doesn’t stop them from going back on their word.
      I find it troubling that they haven’t allowed access to those 180 countries that conveniently also don’t have access to PSN.
      I think this is a sign that they will try something, maybe even tomorrow.

    I guess the way you have to think about the mechs is that if they allow a player to equip 2 they’re also allowing everyone in that squad to do the same and then possibly call 6 mechs onto the map at the same time, not ideal but the math makes sense to me.

    During the day that everyone was able to use the new mech for free I was able to equip both mechs with the free strat and spent whole missions in mechs all day with no issues had a total of 4 call INS for the emancipator mech and 2 for the patriot mech

    I think the real reason you cant being both mechs is to prevent 1 person from bringing 2 and sharing it with someone who hasnt unlocked it. All the other person has to do is take an orbital strat or something p1 would have in that slot and bypass the level restriction

    By the way you can put both of them in your strategy gems you have to select both of them rapidly and then in the middle of that quickly select the backpack with the ammo and then select the other Meck
    And then you can select a different item for your back you don't have to use the ammo back pack if you don't want
    But you need to initially select it in order to get the other Meck
    This is something that does work

    6:13 Just because something else works in the game just fine doesn't mean another thing won't have issue on its own, like crashes. It all comes down to the coding and optimizations the devs have made - the bugs and bots can stream towards us in vast numbers with little issue, but that is because the developers have put in a lot of time and effort to make that work and be stable.
    Having multiple mechs equipped at once isn't creating a graphical workload, but rather something else in the backend that isn't optimized and could lead to unwanted errors or problems. I think the reason we were able to have 2 of them at once during that short time is because, simply put, the coding behind mission-specific stratagems is likely different than the coding behind stratagems that the players choose.

    I think the turing not being done might be the seaf or clean up team, we might have 100% of what the divers can do and we'll have to wait for them. But I might be overthinking it.

    It seems it's more complicated than that: if one have uninstalled the game, because of the region restriction, it can be really difficult to reinstall it.

    Anyone else remember that there's like 50 behind the scenes traits for each gun, and we expect them to have all been adjusted/corrected, AND balanced enough that i dont have to play with only the shotgun or else get kicked for "meta"? Take your time Pilestedt. That said i wouldnt mind a wave defense for the bugs like the automatons got.

    Anytime players ask for more fun with the weapons we have. There is always a reason the system can't handle it.....but the 90 titans that spawn at extraction....perfectly stable.

    I dont know if major order is actually glitched or not. Turing is surrounded by non-liberated planets, we might have to liberate one of them for major order to complete. I am not sure tho.

    The technical problem with mechs actually makes a lot of sense. It also explains why they haven't fully added the other vehicles the devs were giving players a few months ago. Look at the creations engine. It handles enemy spam great (or fine at least) but vehicles practically destroy it. The engine HD2 uses is almost as old and stopped getting updates in 2018.

      The problem is that they restructured the business instead of fixing something simple. All they had to do was roll the update back. Now they are stalling for time for some weird reason while changing up the internals of the company. The longer it takes the more we feel lied to.

    Hey Buzz, I don't think its a bug on Turing. I believe its supposed to represent the SEAF teams or the soldiers that were trained going out and fighting on it. It is why the number constantly goes up. It is also influenced by those training camps that we were supposed to defend.

    you can glitch your strats to take both suits with you, though it don't always work. Load up one suit, then your 2 non mec strats (mine are shield back pack and q-cannon) then load up a third you don't want. Once its there, back out, click on it, load other mec, and keep doing so till it does so, or you get the feeling it don't work. I did not load up my booster till after I got it to work, or gave up. Hope it helps!

    My personal opinion.
    1) I don’t think Sony is going to reverse the HD2 region lock in other countries. They got what they wanted. People to stop review bombing it. Showing that the majority of people who were complaining online were strictly doing it because they didn’t want to make a PSN account, not because it affected people in other countries. If people really cared about the region locked countries, then they would head back to Steam and review bomb it again until it was lifted.
    2) I don’t understand why they can’t just release a quick hotfix for the nerfed weapons to put them back at their original stats. Just in the time being until they figure out this humongous patch that will probably end up breaking the game in a new way.
    3) They have to step up their Warbond game. Releasing a “Polar Patriots” theme and yet nothing is screaming “Winter Soldier” type vibes is strange. Like why doesn’t the armor resist a frost type of damage (for now just those stupid plants that explode and slow you down) and eventually a new enemy type so the armor feels useful. Or that it can resist or nullify blizzard effects, weapons that can freeze opponents either a Cryolator or bullets that deliver a slowed/frostbitten status. Something to make it stand out from the rest of the Warbonds. And each Warbond should aim to do it.
    I hope HD2 finds its way through this dark tunnel and into the brilliant light of freedom at the end.

    i don't think they're lying about the system resource for mech i mean do you guys remember when the EAT suddenly become popular for the first time when the railgun got nerf, people literally litter the map with it and it keep crashing the game and EAT is just a simple weapon with one function

    You can equip 2 mechs, i run both variants in one mission, you just have to select 1 of them 2 of your other stratagems 1 random which you then select the other mech variant.

I play DRG modded twitch sessions every weekend when I can. HD2 is literally killed any reason to re-install it. Thanks for keeping us informed.

    6:48 well yeah, those devastators, chargers, shield-bots, etc. they don't have systems in place to maneuver them like vehicles. Remember when spawning too many EATs into a map would crash the entire mission at times for some divers? It's not necessarily the animations and AI code but probably something to do with how the code works around player interaction with vehicles or items.

    It's not surprising at all that a complex model might require more resources, especially if the code regulating them isn't optimized. Anyone that has done numerical computing work knows this.

    What I think is weird about the mech thing is the fact that the games seemed able to run with 3 Mechs equipped (1 via weapon testing, 1 the normal way and 1 cous there was a bug to equip both versions)
