You just set the industry standard for amp demos. Perfect, all questions answered before anyone has a chance to ask anything! Thanks man. Good amp by the way.
I can only echo what's been said, this what I call a proper amp demo. No over/under selling, no trying to be humorous or sending me to sleep. As I watched you answered any questions I may have had by showing knob positions etc. Well done and will definitely check you out again.
Showing the different capabilities of the amplifier with different setup. That's what makes your demos great, no bias opinions. Just showing what it can do.
What sets this amp apart from the others is the cleans. They are beautiful! I'm seriously considering selling my EVH and buying one of these and a 2X12..
PRS owes you money for doing a better demo than they do! Lead sound? I love palm muted single note riffs...wondering about the texture you get from it.
Just so it’s said- they have had some issues with these amps. Noisy fx loop and loud hum even on the clean channel. I have mine at PRS now getting looked at for these issues. Great amp and I can’t wait to get it back but buy new from a reputable dealer like Sweetwater in case you have any issues
InxVainX I can agree with this. Had mine for about a year, 9 months to be exact and the transformer blew! Called Sweetwater and they send me a brand new one today! Amazing amp besides the issues🤷🏻♂️
Zero hum on clean, and they always recommend a noise gate with any heavy hitting amplifier. Plus I modified mine to a 50 W transformer, which took care of almost any hum.
@@peterodriguez2364 don’t do it - it’s still loud. I’d recommend you wait for the 100 watt model that’ll be built with a noise gate. It’s been over two years though since PRS said it was in the works, so who knows. Anyway - I modeled the distortion channel on it and now play it out of my Kemper with a gate engaged and Engl 2x12 speaker profile. If you can’t afford a Kemper I recommend you go for the Bluguitar Iridium 🤘🏼
I just got mine Friday evening. 1 hour into playing at HALF POWER lead channel the cops were ringing my doorbell 🤣 This is a powerful amp I love it! First time I've had a tube amp since my first Marshall stack 30 years ago.
That's one of the best demos I've ever seen on a guitar amplifier. Would be great if you could do the same demo on the Victory Kraken. I'm up in the air with the Mt15, and the Victory Kraken.
would you say the cleans are fender like? Really looking to add this to my amp setup, and looking for a nice fender clean sound but love the idea of having a dedicated channel for high gain as well to pair with my Orange!
They are pretty Fender. They can sometimes have a bit too much kick in the high mid-range with something spikey like a Strat, but that can be adjusted for with the EQ controls 👍
Man I don't see how you got a classic rock tone out of that! I had one for a bit and with the gain that low it was still pretty gnarly. Roll down the volume of the guitar?
Kept volume at full on the guitar. It's trying to find that low sweet spot on the gain. I found the gain like the volume control. The range is huge, you can move it the tiniest amount and you get a way different sound 👍
The PRS is very American voiced, it’s effectively a small dual rectifier. The Egnater is more versatile and can get those British sounds. For high gain the PRS is really big and fat whereas the egnater is more squishy. I’d say the PRS is louder. Neither better just different 👍 In a couple months I hope to upload a comparison between the two.
You can play it quiet but the volume knob takes a bit of balancing, it has one of those volume controls where it goes from too little to too much very quickly. I have an attenuator which helps for home use 👍
You can do it, but you were going to have to play on like a 2 x 12 or single speaker. I play on a 4 x 12 And my neighbors can easily hear me on only volume number two.
I’ve got noticeable mains hum, even when in standby. Here it sounds almost like a noise gate is being used. From what I’ve read the MT15 seems to be a noisy amp. Is there anything I can do against the hum? None of my other amps hum this much(JCM900, Rocker15Terror, AC15c1, Bandit112, Nextone Stage).
Never seen your channel before. Great demo, man! Subscribed! I would have never considered this amp before seeing this. Also love that trampas green single cut! Keep up the good work!
It's very loud (regardless of wattage rating). Its got 2x 6l6 in the power section. Maybe find a review w decibel meter reading, cuz everyone remarks on how loud it is.
gabbygall 15w is WAY loud enough for a gig! The EVH lunchbox amps are suitable for gigs and they are 15w. Remember when your using an amp your only using a certain amount of wattage like at a gig you will probably only use 5-10 watts of power. This will manage perfectly
Please, if anyone can help me: I am going to get this amp and was planning on a Harley Benton 2x12. What speaker output to i attach it to in the amp? Thanks!
Eh it's preference. If you like 6505s the EVH is the one. If you like Dual Rectifiers PRS is the one. My preference constantly but I'd probably go PRS for the awesome cleans 👍
@@TobysGuitarGearDemos well said, i was thinking the same thing. It does sound very close to my 6505+ thanks for the information. Im also hearing of people converting them to 50 watts. The two 6l6s seem like a 50watt platform after all.
I just bought one although when I very slightly turn the volume up, it's crazy loud? I'm new to amps like this so I'm not knowledgeable enough to figure out why? My guitar volume itself is also very low.
This is a valve amp which are always going to be crazy loud compared to a digital with similar wattage, but it's hard to tell if yours is normal loud or broken loud without hearing it first.
To remedy that, you can buy the JHS Little Black Amp Box, if you don't use the FX loop. It blocks off use of it. If you do like your pedals, then go ahead and buy an attenuator. I recommend the Rivera Rock Crusher, but it is pretty expensive. Do some Googleing on attenuators.
Yeh it's great, probably my favourite for cleans at the moment. With the HB stuff it's good to have a basic understanding of setup. As they can come with a little high action and dry fretboards. Here's my demo of it: ua-cam.com/video/vjvZ6qhOERI/v-deo.html

I just ordered one a week or so ago. This was great. An awesome demo.
Probably one of the best reviews for this amp.
Finally, a true demo
Outstanding demo! If only everyone else could do this with demos!
This amp sounds like the love child of a Peavey 5150 and a Mesa Boogie Mark II C +.
It is 👌🏼
Now that is a properly done amp demo video. Nice job. Great amp too
Good of you to play alter bridge with this amp. Nice demo as always.

Keep up the great reviews. One of the few on youtube who actually reviews the actual amps properly and realistically
I dig the use of reverb with the clean. Haven't really heard anyone do that.
SERIOUS amp and SERIOUS review with overplay. Thank you, at least the best review I've seen about this amp.
Thanks for not talking through your demo! Great job and to the point!
awesome demo, that clean channel sounded wicked.
Nice demo. Makes me glad I just bought one. Won't be here for 3 more days! grrrr
Fantastic demo. Great how you show the range of the amp. Dig the amp.

AWESOME!!! I was hoping to see a video of this badass amp on your channel!!!
Thanks, Awesome little amp 👍

awesome demo. So many examples! Love the Harley Bentons as well. I too have the te-30 as well as about 6 others lol

You had me when you played Yellowcard. 🙏
Love your work!
Great demo. Wish all amp demos were like this!
Awesome you even used my Harley Benton guitar for the clean sound. Liked everything but the high-gain
What an excellent amp. I've been seriously thinking about getting one for some time now.
2 years later.... have you bought one yet?
Get it man. It’s so worth it
I just about shit myself when you played Yellowcard in the clean channel demo.
Really apreciate Unable To See in the end ! Great amp, great demo, but I'm not sold yet :(
The drive sounds are hit or miss but the those cleans are great!

Hey man I just got the Harley 2x12 and was curious if you added any feet to the side for when it's vertical?
Naa I just run it stock. If I gigged I’d definitely add them 👍
Is the clean channel loud enough to play with a loud drummer and still remain clean?
I’d say it’s borderline. Definitely loud enough but will start to breakup as you get really loud 👍
Was that a Yellowcard riff you played on the clean section?!

@@Fenar_ Silverface DR, Swart AST Mk2 (head/cab), Marshall 50W JMP combo.
@@DSilvergun How's the Marshall sound? I'm torn between buying a British amp like the Marshall origin 20, or15 or this
@@Fenar_ Marshall sound is great. Personally I think the PRS is the better amp between the two but that's just my opinion.
Dan S. Can you get the classic trash crunch with this or have another suggestion?
If this amp had a power setting down to 1w it would be perfect.
I bought it with an attenuator. It hasnt arrived yet but I guess that might be a better way to get it quiet. 1 Watt settings tend to sound like ass :D
Is there any footswitch between the channels available?
yep there is
