      How are you guys liking them? I'm really considering one if these over a new Marshall. I think prs nailed this one. Do you guys know if you can swap in el34s like the archons? I would think not, but just curious cuz that would be amazing.

      Brother, if PRS makes a big boy version, 50 or a 100 Watt, I will buy that one too. It sounds so damn good; and the more than I play it, the more that I like it. Ever had a piece of gear that makes you feel like you're getting better at playing because of that gear? This is one of those pieces for me. It's that good.

    I threw a 12au7 tube in V3, and a 12at7 in V4...... Holy CRAP! Made this Amp so so much more versatile. The gain at 9 o'clock is blues all day. 3 o'clock is full on metal. With everything in between.

      Nah. Once I found out I was having a daughter I gave up the touring life. Not trying to be away from home and miss that haha. That band I was in was sponsored by Jagermeister so we got to play some pretty cool shows. That show was Alter Bridge and Future Leaders Of The World and we also did a couple shows with Staind, Three Days Grace and Hurt and one with Slayer and I can't remember the other Jager ones. But yeah man, was good times. I don't mention this to come off as bragging or anything. Just appreciative. Really I just wanted to point out what a nice fella Mr. Tremonti was :)

    Great vid, but then... is it too much to ask that when presenting an amp the reverb is less prominent? Not everyone likes the sound as wet. Felt a bit like a reverb demo inbetween until 22:22. I don't mind the delay, but reverb changes the sound IMO.

      Fout years later and I can attest to this comment.
      I have a USA 6505+ and it just doesn't punch my chest like this amp does. It does cut through with its huge mids, that's something a 5150/6505 can do.
      I had to boost the MT15 to tighten up the low end, it's so HUGE yet usable, unlike a dual recto which sounds like a undergained, garbled, undefined, fat mess 😂😂😂

    I liked the PRS archon, but felt something was missing. I think they nailed it with this amp tho. It sounds killer. Amazing with that precision drive too.

      Never had a tube amp before, but this one has everything im looking for. Killer clean, Killer lead, And by what i hear, it works really well with distortion or Boost pedals really well. Im going to pick this up along with a delay/reverb pedal. Im also going to pick up a Fortin Blade. And ill just use my Fortin Zuul+ to keep everything nice and quiet or cut the unnecessary noise.

    • @nicwilson89

    • @fredriksvard2603
      @fredriksvard2603 6 років тому

      Szymon Szymanski cause the mesa kicks ass and this doesnt. What i dont get is why people get minis and not dual/triple recs.

    • @fredriksvard2603
      @fredriksvard2603 5 років тому

      Matt Reid Dual recs have been dirt cheap since artists moved on to other stuff. My peavey was cheap too.

    • @fredriksvard2603
      @fredriksvard2603 5 років тому

      Matt Reid im saying you might as well get a real rectifier instead of a mini rec. Used dual recs here: 900 eur, new mini: 1500 eur, used mini: idk, guessing 700-1000 depending on age etc.

    • @thephotoyak
      @thephotoyak 5 років тому

      @Matt Reid don't know what the market is like where you are, but this MT-15 is about $1000 CAD and used Mesa Dual Recs go for $900-$1000 CAD all the time here. Dual and Triple Recs are dirt cheap nowadays.

    Well I bought the Amp a while back. The supplier accepted my MG 102 as a trade in so I was able to get the matching speaker cab effectively for nowt!
    The thing is killer! Always on the reduced setting and its still way loud enough for bedroom use. If I crank it its just excellent! My next purchase will be a full US PRS Tremonti. It'll take me a lonnnng time to save for that though!
    Oh, BTW the footswitch does come with the amp...
