Awesome, Bogota is definitely on my list of countries cities to visit in Colombia. Thank you for showing me some of the local traditional foods of Colombia.
This is just the beginning, the coastal food changes so much. And while it’s neighbouring with Ecuador you can see the two cultures are so different with just the way they take the same ingredients but prepare them differently.

un brazo desde Colombia, me encanto tu video. bienvenida siempre a Colombia, Tienes que Conocer Villa de Leyva, un pueblo en el departamento de Boyacá Colombia. es un Pueblo mágico y espectacular.
Angy, cheese dipped in chocolate is the real deal in Bogota; a tamal is a meal by itself (after 2 days in the fridge it tastes better, don't know why); you can buy chicha made of pinespple, grapes, and not only in Colombia but Chile, Venezuela too.
Rice Masato is very easy to prepare. Cook for about 20 minutes a cup of rice in 3 cups of hot water with white sugar and cinnamon. When it is cold, blend it and add the pineapple peel to ferment. Then serve cold and with ground cinnamon. In Colombia it is usually accompanied with a sponge cake called "mantecada".
Ayngelina, if you can find an Arepa con Queso Doble Crema. Do by all means try them. When I lived in Bogotá, I made a cup of hot Chocolate (con Panela) and pan sautéed two Arepa with butter each morning for Breakfast!
@@ayngelina Oops, I guess you have to follow their social media to know their working hours. Last time I went to la Perseverancia, her stall was also closed. But I have tried her ajiaco and it is very well done and the taste of guasca is not that overpowering. But there is good ajiaco sold in the other stalls, too.
Omg, that plantain leaf tamal. Looks heavenly. I loved the food in Colombia. I tried about 12-15 of the dishes in the link you sent me to your blog at the time. My favorite country I have visited so far.
Yeah, the plantain leaf help keep the flavor and smell of the tamal, is a MUST. Aftef that U can wrap it in aluminum paper, plastic or whatevet U want.

We're subscribers, and loved this video! (Like # 72) Thanks also for the tip to watch the Netflix show specific to the market your visited. It's an incredible episode, and your videos truly compliment one another.

Ayngelina, if you have the opportunity to visit the departments of Boyaca and Santander I recommend you to explore their gastronomy which in my opinion is unique. In Boyaca there is a dish called "cocido boyacense" and in Santander "pepitoria" and "chanfaina". They are very interesting dishes made with local ingredients that are probably not well known but are surprising.

We Colombians LOVE LOVE LOVE our white rice! It almost feels like an insult that you don't love it, but no worries I understand.
