Am practicing my Mother, tongue and making progress. 😂
Yes, it does get me frustrated at time's and specially with many hotels and restaurants; am hoping that people will take more interests in learning, English as it's the Universal language to conduct a serious, growth in business, worldwide.
      I tried German 😅
Most Colombians, who will pickup another language, will choose ; Italian and French; while both are lovely languages.
However, their uses are limited outside of their own, respective countries.

A few months ago a video went viral in which a foreigner ordered his food in English and the waitress did not understand him. The foreigner's Colombian girlfriend tried to mediate and translate into Spanish, but the foreigner interrupted her girlfriend and told her, "She has to learn." A Colombian who overheard the conversation interrupted and said, "She doesn't need to learn English, you need to learn Spanish." This sparked a debate on social media. The massive arrival of foreigners, and especially this type of attitude, has made Colombians more apprehensive and intolerant towards foreigners. A piece of advice: many of you want to leave "America", but "America" must also come out of you, from your being. It makes no sense to leave America to be America somewhere else. especially need to abandon this "gringo perspective" that you may not be aware of and that you mean no harm, but that is annoying and sometimes even disrespectful. This is compassionate advice to avoid a similar or undesirable situation. I hope you enjoy and get involved with the culture

I absolutely love Bogotá. I’m generally a person who likes quiet beach towns, but I ended up in Bogotá accidentally and fell in love with it. It’s a very beautiful city with so many beautiful Parks and the people are kind and interesting. As a Canadian, I can’t even afford fruits and vegetables anymore but Bogota has some incredibly cheap produce! With break discount stores like D1 and Ara, you can eat like a queen here. I usually rent Airbnb‘s either in Chaparino,el Chico Norte or the Financial district which I find all really safe. The only down part about Bogotá is the weather. There really is not much sunshine, it’s not that warm, and it rains a lot. The altitude also gets to me sometimes although the altitude is not as high as in Cusco in Peru, it still bothers me. Thank you for the great video.😊

The facilities were top notch - better than most US clinics. Now, I forsake the dental insurance and make a trip to Colombia every year. Dental insurance in the US, after all, doesn't really cover that much. To give some idea on the differences in services between the US + Colombia: I had 2 root canals and was charged $240 with the exchange rate of 6 years-ago. The work was done the same day it was diagnosed.

When her son got sick, she was fired because she had to take care of him and it was hard for her to go to the flower far regularly.. Don't go, it's very dangerous, you'll get mugged on any corner and you can be kidnapped, don't say I didn't warn you.

I was born in Bogota and lived there for 30 years. This video is incomplete because it does not tell investors about Colombia being in an earthquake zone and the frequency of the tremors, also related to that the concern is the quality of the construction of the the buildings, many of them were not build with high quality standards and the authorities look the other way, because there is corruption and lots of bureaucracy. Google the news about the shortage of water in Bogota, is affecting hotels, restaurants, hospitals. The current president was part of the guerrilla groups, there is still kidnapping going on. The best of Colombia is the food and the loving people of the middle class. Rich people don’t pay taxes, there is very limited budget to invest in infrastructure. Now you have more of a complete picture. I love Colombia and am very proud of my roots, I love it with imperfections and all ❤.

@@Black-Circle also not mentioned in videos for Bogota and Mexico city: social inequality, the traffic doesn’t flow and some areas are not safe; investors deserve to know there is homework that only the owner of the $ can do.

But I don’t recall seeing news about earthquakes destroying Bogotá during the past 100 years so… 🤔 And traffic is awful in many major cities. I get what you are saying but it’s not a big issue for investors, I think.

Only the Andean region is prone to earthquakes. This is not the case for the Caribbean region. Everything else you said it's true. I own property in Cartagena, so I am familiar with the Counties geography.

Bro let me tell you this is the most detail video I've ever seen for someone looking to get an apartment and move to a different country, Bogotá feels like the Latinamerican New York with European Vibes at the same time, everything in one city, locals are doing such a great job fixing all the isues from the past, economically is such a strong city, great location for travel everywhere and yep, definitely that's the place where I want to live, thank you so much.
