Absolutely amazing video. So inspiring Thank you. More please ! I have a green MS 20 FS on the way for tonight ! where was that reverb coming from ? how did you apply it just to the snare in this case ?!
Honestly I can’t remember how I patched this up haha. Reverb is coming from the MOOD, and TR06 allows for the stereo out to be split so some sounds come out the left channel and some out the right. That may be what’s happening with the snare.
@@0Fdigital oooooh ok ! Perfect... thanks a lot. That was fantastic bro. This mood is crazy you really should do some more vids with the ms20 your knowledge is insane... thanks again. Peace
Keybed is pretty standard synth action. I think it may be slightly better than the original, though I haven't compared them yet. Controls are as solid as the original. No wobble, fast and smooth. I think the octave/oscillator switches are a bit less weighty/clunky than the original. One thing I noticed with those switches is that there is a very slight "dead zone" between each setting; the octave skips to the lowest octave and the oscillator cuts out in those in between areas. Again, I haven't been able to compare yet, so this may be on the original too. A friend of mine has an original so I should be able to compare them pretty soon.
@@sinesoundmukke4359 Had a play with one. Keybed feels a bit more plastic than my old ms10. However, it is very true to the original and the VCOs are very useable so can be switched on the fly. The previous kits suffered from popping issues which made it unuseable in a live situation.
@@emresound one hand on volume knob during octave switching might help. It makes for a “machine safety” feel, like when operating a large paper guillotine.
There's a key combination to switch between the two on startup. It defaults to the mk1 filter, but I think there's also a jumper that you can change on the PCB somewhere (I may be wrong though).
Congrats! Any big differences between this and the original MS-20? The MS 20 mini lacked a tiny bit of warmth compared to the original I was wondering about this.
I haven't compared it yet. But keep in mind they're not 40 years old :) that can be a big factor. I'm sure if you jumped in a time machine and compared it with a brand new MS20 from 1978 they'd be closer. I don't really know what warmth is supposed to sound like, but I sure didn't get the MS20 for smooth/ambient sounds!
Your ESP patches are great! They deserve three or four short videos playing them. I like especially the first (TR606) and the last one.
Thanks! Yeah the ESP is definitely worth further exploration, thanks for the suggestion.

Congratulations! Can you please comment on the keyboard and how the controls feel?

@@0Fdigital A comparison to the Vintage MS 20 vs. the new MS 20 FS would be awesome.
Please let us know when you Had the possibility. 🙏

Thank You! Where is filter type switch? I thought it would be as in MS-20M - tiny switch between filters.

where did you get that hand sculpture?
I found it in a "lost and found market", kinda like a thrift store/op shop but with more random stuff :D
Probably not much help, sorry!
Awesome! How many patch cables does it ship with?
It comes with 10 cables, colour matched in case that wasn't obvious :D
cool! thanks. I want to get a green one.
FL Wasp sounds similar
