Really enjoying this- hearing a TB-03 in a non-acid context always makes me happy. Great vibe, excellent job!

Thinking about a small boutique setup as well. they sound great

Soooo laid-back
Very cool

Hi man, really good music, congratulations! Just one question for you; I have the same setup, instead of the tr 606 i have the 909 - what do you think of the 909 for ambient music?
It could work! I've never tried using 909 sounds for ambient, but it can get quite mellow, especially with a nice reverb or delay, so I say why not :)
How did you get the TR-606 and the TB-03 to sync together? This part I am still trying to figure out after acquiring both these instruments myself. I looked at the TR-06 and compared it to the TR-606 and nabbed it as they were practically the same price. Thought to get one piece at least original, though trying to get them to talk to each other and the manuals aren't clear on that. I came across this video googling for answers so I know it is possible! I also like this song, quite relaxing.
I'm using the Retrokits RK-006 MIDI device to sync them; it has a DIN sync option. It needs a specific cable, but I was able to create one by splicing an existing DIN sync compatible MIDI cable with two TRS plugs.
There may be cheaper options than the RK-006 though, I'm sure more straightforward MIDI to DIN sync cables/interfaces exist!
@@0Fdigital Thanks so much for the pointer. I had an old midi cable laying about and couldn't figure it out, I'll see if I can find this DIN Sync somewhere.
@@KojiKamori yeah the problem with many MIDI cables is that they only have the pins required for MIDI in use. If you get the RK-006, you can get the TRS to DIN sync cable from their store. It may be overkill for your setup, but I've found the RK-006 incredibly useful for many different applications.
@@0Fdigital I was looking at one converter box, then I looked the RK-006, it says it has 2 in and 10 out. I have been using a M-Audio midi cable and a Roland Um-1 usb to midi to talk to a few of my other instuments and learned that if you have the same cable and brand even though you have 2, they will fight each other. I needed a hub for quite a while but fell out of music making for a while and now that I am getting back in the groove, I think this could really benefit my set up.
I have a Juno-G, TR-505, and a MC-303, and TB-03 with the odd one out, the TR-606. I used to play with the older synths like the JP-8 but I didn't own them so I never got into having to sync them.
Nothing beats the sounds of the actual synths though. And I have all this going into a small Mackie mixer and from there to my external sound card to then record with Sonar X3. I hope this hub plays well with my daw.
But I can't thank you enough for the advise in pointing me in the right direction. Keep it grooving!
