if there was only a chance to give 5 thumbs up on UA-cam... what a great episode!
Thank you :)
Ask three friends to help with that; add theirs to yours and mine.
@@TabletopWitchCRAFT the haunted house is not bad how long did it took you to make it and I've been wondering can you do an inside of the haunted house like a level of the game
@@zackariahmayhew8324 About a month to make it....stay tuned to the channel :)
I'm now about 7 minutes in to the video, but 3 stories in to the build. This is absolutely doable for anyone to re create even with just dollar store foam and an razor knife. John makes this more accessible than you could imagine. Just start and you'll understand.
Thank you for sharing that, and your review Adam. I'm happy to hear it's working out well for you.
Абстрактное видео😞. Нет ни одного размера. Для людей не знакомых с начертательной геометрией - вообще космос!!!
I love that there is still a powerhouse channel on youtube making long format massive builds. This thing is so epic and stands right along with the castle and colosseum in awesomeness.
Thank you for that Jay! I love the feedback, and I’m glad you’re enjoying the content.
I have about zero chances or intentions of building this, ever. Still paid extreme attention, this was a great build!
:) well I'm glad you enjoyed it. Hopefully you found a few tips in the video to use on other builds.
@@TabletopWitchCRAFT Can I cut Balsa foam with the Praxxon foam cutter would there be any problems ? thank you, that haunted house is Awesome I nlearned plenty of things from watching your video.
Although I actually prefer scratch-building over having precise plans, I have to say that the quality of the final product is just absolutely amazing. So impressing. This could be used for a haunted house horror movie.
Hope you sell lots of the plans.
Thank you Stephan. Its fun to scratch-build as well. I'm working on something now with no plans (I needed a change).
This is so cool! I love how easily you make the foam work look. The main tower you referred to was called a belvedere, and traditionally it was used for women to watch for their men returning from war!
I'm glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for the structural tip! That's an interesting fact.
I am so glad someone else loves “Nosferatu”. I feel so old with my co workers never even knowing what I am talking about, especially with the ones that “love all horror movies and know them all”
I hear ya Chris 🤘
If you feel old for that one, wait until you say something like, "... So I packed my Castle Greyskull, and I ran away to the hedge." And the fetus you're dating says, "What's that?" I died a little bit that day.
This build is next level. Gives me vibes of Vecna’s house in Stranger Things. You’re a master craftsman.
Right on, thank you !!
Dude, that was EPIC. Fantastic build. I would say "as usual" but there was nothing usual about that! Amazing stuff. LOTS of things to take away for smaller builds as well! That jack-o-lantern was really cool, and all the little touches (as usual, lol) were great. And that Shifting Lands announement! WOW!! Even though shipping from the US to Canada still kinda sucks, I'll be interested to see how much cheaper it will be. Great news there!!!
Thank you Perry. Some great news for sure. I would imagine the shipping must be better than from the Netherlands! When I added those steps the first thing that entered my mind was a Jack-O-Lantern... had to be done :)
Epic build. I liked the Nosferatu reference.
And btw, the 54min went down a treat. It really gives us the time to appreciate the work and craftsmanship that goes into these build.
Thank you :) You got the reference too! I appreciate the feedback thejmax.
I saw a post about the Shifting Lands announcement and jumped directly to it. I am so excited they will have a store in the US! Now I need to go back and watch the whole video because the reveal of the haunted house at the end has me excited to watch the entire video.
Oh yeah, I’m excited too.
The tip to cut slanted edges is fantastic! Thanks!
Right on, glad it helps!
This is by far one if not the best foam building i have ever seen
Right on!!! I really appreciate that! 🙏
Nosferatu is the shadow in the window. It is one of my favorite horror movies. The haunted house is amazing. Great job!
You got it, great taste in movies too :). Thanks Kimberly!!
I love your attention to detail, from the blood stained curtains to the brick missing from the porch. It's these important little details that make this truly a gorgeous work of art.
Thank you... the details are my favorite part. Thanks for watching.
You've GOT to run a CoS/Ravenloft one-shot module!!! For the last 2 weeks I busted my crafting butt to write the Ravenloft one-shot, building a castle, and props for my DnD night, just this past Thursday. It was AWESOME! Our group LOVED my CoS/Ravenloft set, castle, and module!!! It's so rewarding when the players go nuts for a project a DM works on!!! When they have fun, how can the DM not have fun?! Now they want a Ravenloft/CoS one-shot every Halloween! Do it! Cause you and your players will have so much fun!!!
And as always... AWESOME BUILD!!!! THX!
Oh yeah, I totally plan on running The Curses of Strahd with this building, and what a great idea to run one with that theme each Halloween! Thanks Mark.
@@TabletopWitchCRAFT PLEASE let us know when and how it went!!! Enjoy!!!
Man! I am so happy for Shifting Lands US!
Epic build! Man I'm so hyped!
Congratulations John!
Thank you :). I’m hyped too!
You could totally make a killing doing diorama tutorials. Your attention to detail and creativity is incredible.
Thank you so much B C. I really appreciate that!
Your house is amazingly
Spooky great👍🏻🏚️💀 what a beautiful job. The details are so so good🕸️🕷️
Thank you! I might be adding to it in the near future, make sure to subscribe so you don’t miss out !!
Can’t really find the words to express what I saw. The big three in the crafting world sharing screen time together! The build blew my mind, truly next level. Just WOW. Thank you sooo much for sharing this with us all.
You got it Andy, thank you for watching ! :)
I literally uttered "Oh my god!" when I saw the thumbnail. I am currently DMing Curse of Strahd and this house... it is oh so perfect for my campaign. 😍
Yes it is, I can't wait to run CoS with this !!! Thank you :)
@@TabletopWitchCRAFT I absolutely love the campaign, it is my second time DMing it. I even painted one wall of my living room with a 3D map of Barovia, that's how much I love this setting. ☺
Yeah, a great use for Death House
Dude I genuinely mean this with all sincerity......this is by far the MOST EPIC build ive ever seen for table top gaming, the detail is so far beyond what one would imagine it to be, as a horror fan I love Count Orlok in the window, and the editing in the Montage has a really awesome creepy vibe to it, deff had some Hitchcock vibes to it! I love it man !
Thank you Trey! I really appreciate that. I was in the Hitchcock zone when creating this one for sure!
The amount of details in this... You are outdoing yourself everytime 👏
Thank you so much :) I try.
What a GREAT build.
Max Schreck would be very happy to now that you love his movie...
Thank you :)
Oh MY GOD!!! This is my first video of yours that I have watched and I'm completely floored. I don't make things like this but I have loved watching you create the items and the techniques used. you are truly a master crafter and anyone watching this will take away some valuable skills.
Thank you so much Michelle. I really appreciate that. Maybe one of these videos will inspire you to one day give it a go :)
Incredibly done! The premade shingles must've been a huge time saver. The zombies add so much to the build, and I love Nosferatu's shadow in the upper window!
Thank you so much! They saved a TON of time, and fun to use. Nailed the creepy figure in the window as well... nicely done!
This is a really good demonstration of what can be built using hard foam. The paint job is also really effective and provides great atmosphere to the house.
Thank you !
I honestly didn't think you could top the previous Epic builds, but seeing this (especially close up), it's spectacular. It's the little details everywhere that really make it special!
Thank you Scott! Happy to have you over and we’ll have to get a session together using the Haunted House.
Absolutely incredible 😊
Thank you!!!
This guy never disappoints! Wow!!! Brilliant job!
Thank you Duvanok !!
That he does not, every video of his inspires me to keep building my dnd. He has gotten me into looking at other types of games.
Fun fact: XPS foam is semi-illegal to use in construction in my country. Turns out the stuff release cyanide gas when burned, so we only use it encased in concrete. Masks and ventilation won't cut it guys, don't burn XPS foam with an open flame. Hot wire cutters melt, they don't burn, so that should be okay.
Yep you don't want to be lighting it on fire. Using a hot pin is pushing it. I have a 5500 CFM fan that I work under along with a really good P95 mask.
I can tell that a lot of passion was put into this truly EPIC build! Glad to hear about the collaboration and bring Shifting Lands to the US. Hope you and your family have a safe and awesome Halloween!
Thank you. It took some time for sure, but was a blast! I’m sure the kids will find some candy tomorrow :)
This is truly amazing. Such an impressive build and process. Your builds are certainly something for me to aspire too, and I really appreciate you taking the time to share these awesome projects. Well done and thank you mate.
Thank you ! I do enjoy sharing and getting feedback from the community.
Nosfiteratu is one of those classic Halloween movies
Definitely!
Nosferatu was the BEST part of this build and the whole build was the best part
Thank you Zemer :) I appreciate that.
@@TabletopWitchCRAFT I'm really being honest when I say that I watch a lot of channels on the hobby and your channel is the only one that I cannot believe my eyes every single video.
Every single video is a banger. 10/10. Literally cannot miss. You bring a little something new and different each build.
@@TheRedBard Oh wow Zemer. I really appreciate that a lot!!! Thank you so much. I try and make the builds as exciting as possible.
I'm completely blown tf away. . .
Right on !! Thank you !
This is so incredibly beautiful! The shingles are awesome!! I’m loving this build so much. 🖤🖤💀🖤🖤
Thank you so much 🤘
The shingles part had me in tears 😭 here I'm cutting each individual one like a peasant ...
But honestly this was amazing. I think it's difficult to top this ... But you probably already have something bigger in mind don't you😂😂
Thank you Q S. Oh I still cut my own shingles, but now I'm spoiled for sure!
This build took my breath away! Absolutely amazing. Plus the Shifting Lands announcement had me cheering out loud. How wonderful!
Thank you David, 😀. I’m pumped as well!
Can't wait to buy some Shifting Lands products from America. The fact that it is overseas and COVID is the only thing that has kept me from ordering so far.
Cool Doug, soon enough !
Nosferatu in the high window?? :)
You got it Perry!
I thought so! 😁
Count Orlock
This film clearly shows how far German cinema was back then, before the Nazis destroyed everything and many filmmakers fled to America. -.-
Oh that's who's flickering the lights
John, an absolutely awesome build. I think of this as being used for Hell House (Durst manor) in Curse of Strahd. This is great news about Shiftinglands USA. Oh and I see Nosferatu in the window, great choice. I like the silent version and the version with Klaus Kinski in the late 70's-80's.
Thank you Kevin. :) Yeah, The Curse of Strahd will use this build for sure! I totally agree with the movie choice.
Definitely an inexpensive set of craft plans with loads of details and amazing quality. Just downloaded plans cant wait to build!!!
One of the best craft videos on the internet by far!!! Excellent there are no words to describe the final result
Thank you so much Bill, I appreciate that.
I need to take some minutes and be honest about this piece of art. Your videos are actually the only ones I comment because you are really amazing. I hope your channel will be known because it deserves it. I'm from Italy and you can be sure I will speak about you with all my friends. You are crazy good and get better every video please continue like this.
Thank you so much for that Marco, and for helping to spread the word about the channel. I appreciate that so much! Thank you!
You really are the best crafter ever!!! I wish i was that good.
Thank you :). Take it one day at a time.... you got this.
Unbelievable. What a build. Thanks also for showcasing some of the items from Gerard, I plan on purchasing a fair few of them.
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed the video.
Love the Max Schreck homage!
Thanks :)
Gerard said "some of my stuff" I was laughing so hard... I basically are using everything he produces and it is so much worth it
He definitely produces some excellent products.
28:15 a piece cut from a plastic milk bottle makes an excellent ready made diffuser for this. Stunning build but I think I'm a while away from this level yet 😒
Thank you :). Cool tip!
That’s the best haunted house I’ve ever seen, real or otherwise, another Master class. You out do yourself on every build, we’re very lucky to see all your hard work flourish into something spectacular.
Thank you so much. A lot of time and research went into this one. I think it’s my favorite build so far.
Truly you've outdone yourself with this project. Watching you work on these builds is so very inspiring.
Thank you Eddie, I appreciate that.
minute 31:48 - the movie of course is Nosferatu, a 1922 movie by Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau :) ... awesome build, dude. I thought your castle and the collosseum were already fantastic (and they are) but this one just is beyond compare. What a fantastic model and video!
Thank you so much!! You got the reference! I think this is my favorite build yet :)
Nosferatu 1922 starring Max Schrek and Directed by F. W Murnau one of my favourites I own a T-shirt with that very design a I'm hoping t vsit he caste where it was actually filmed
That's Epic Andy. Please get photos to me if you go!
@@TabletopWitchCRAFT I should be on Facebook next year I'm planning several trips one big one to the US, hoping to do a blues tour of the deep south, there's also a few Horror movie locations I wish to visit the Nosferatu is just one ( did you know the same castle was used in the BBC version of Dracula last year you can see it featured heavily in that 3 part show, they even use the iconic flight of stairs from where you got your pic, and also the door frame as well all in full colour!) b I am planning trips to Transylvania And the real Graf (Castle) Frankenstein in Germany. there are also a few UK locations such as the Hammer studios and the place where the wicker man was filmed. As you probably guessed I'm a huge Horror fan. oh by the way Maine New England???? Horror central for the US H P Lovecraft Edgar Allen Poe and Steven King country?
@@andytate5670 That sounds like one heck of a trip! Yes, in Maine. Some creepy places and brilliant writers from these parts that’s for sure!
@Kevin Vetrone I haven’t seen it... I’ll check it out.
double checked someone had said it before i posted. Loved the film and the remake kept a lot of the original Nostalgia.
Great episode! I think that's called a mansard style roof. For anyone who was wondering.
Ahh cool... thanks for sharing, and watching :)
Only 10 mins in and absolutely fantastic ... and a great job on the video and narration. You’ve taken hobby art craft to pure art & craftsmanship.
Thank you so much Kendo. I’m glad you enjoyed the video!
Figure in the window is from the German expressionism film Nosferatu.
You got it!
Shifting lands in the US yea please!!
Coming right up!
The lantern was for me the best part. As always outstanding work. Thank you for the inspiration.
Anytime Ray, thank you for watching !!
Dude the detail
I love details!
Can we have the green styrodur stocked in the US store as well? That would be epic!
I’m going to run this past Gerard right now. Good idea.
@@TabletopWitchCRAFT
Fantastic!! I don't know what the restrictions may be with shipping large quantities of that overseas, but if there was a stable stateside source for that stuff that would be epic! I would bet even folks like Jeremy from Black Magic Craft would buy that for his builds, since he loves it too.
On a different note, your videos just keep getting better and better! I find myself looking forward to the next one frequently, especially your major builds like this one, the dwarven tomb, and the coliseum. Thanks for all you do for the crafting community. Your work is inspiring!
Now, just need to wait for the US Shifting Lands to get off the ground. I love Gerard's tools but the shipping is prohibitively expensive. Looking forward to being able to get more bang for my buck now! It will almost be like two for the price of one buying from here in the US! LOL.
My suggestion for the collab build: Helm's Deep!
Yeah, that's a pretty sweet idea! I know Scott and Gerard would go for that!
@@TabletopWitchCRAFT
Agreed with this 100 percent! That would be awesome!
This is unbelievable!
Thank you 🙏 !!
i have been buying the tools from Shiftinglands one at the time for over a year now . I have almost all of them, great stuff and great service to.
I’ve placed many orders too, having them close to home will be nice, and working with Gerard is awesome.
This was definitely an EPIC build. This house turned out insane, I love it. Everything from your previous video's tie it together so beautifully. Great job and amazing look.
Thanks for another great video...it was well worth the wait 👍
Thank you Tim! All the builds together definitely helped to tell a creepy tale!
Awesome build, and I'm so happy to hear the Shifting Lands news!
I thought you would be! Thanks M !
Just amazing.totally in awe of your ability
Thank you so much :)
I just knew something big was coming! and WOW! Fantastic job! Also, very exciting news about Shifting Lands USA. I've ordered a lot from Mr. Boom and he is always so cool. Now look forward to ordering from Scott. Great community, great builds!
That's great to hear Tim! Thank you as well for the compliment on the build!
so I LOVE this....
I want to see you use your talents to make interiors for this!!!!
Thank you.... and stay tuned ;)
Great video! Great to hear about Girard's products and how they are expanding into North America! Thanks, guys!
Thank you. :)
SuperGreat Build! Love it. God Bless you man.
Totally hot build. The Adams family immediately comes to mind. And yessss collaboration between my two favorite crafters. Great for you, at the other side of the Atlantic, that you can get everything of Shiftinglands a lot easier too now :)
Thank you Kylara ! I was happy to play a small part in this for Gerard and Scott, and I'm glad it will help out many here in the US and Canada!
Love the Nostferatu window!
You got it!
i love these different parts of the roof and the weathering is perfect !
Thank you Patrick!! I was happy with it :)
That is absolutely incredible. So much time and detail. Wish I had half the tools you have.
Thank you very much :)
Nosferatu!!!! Great built, and great ideea to put count Orlok there
Thank you :) !
Looks like Nosferatu! Amazing build! As a Maine native (Maineiac) who now lives very close (too close... to Noble Knight) and who has visited The Netherlands for work may time this build and video had all the crossover elements! Can’t wait to get the Shifting Lands stuff via Maine!
A trifecta Tim! Thanks for watching!
It's so detailed, I would gladly do anything to scare the ghosts away in order for myself to live in it!
:) Thanks John !
nice job
Thanks for taking the time to make the model, the video and share it
You got it Kenneth, thanks for watching :)
THIS. WAS. AWESOME! Ever since I was a kid, I've always wanted a miniature haunted. I won't go through the effort now but I really enjoyed watching your build. Great attention to detail and the overall design is perfect.
Thank you Darin ! It's never to late to make one :)
Absolutely amazing dude. I think this is the best and highest quality thing you have made so far. I honestly can't fault a single part of this epic build
Thank you Odin, I love this one too. I think it's my favorite as well.
Nosferatu 1922 silent film starring Max Schreck. A true classic.
Right on!
Wow. Five stars, 11/10 absolutely EPIC. Probably one of the best haunted house scratch builds I've ever seen. Definitely saving this video should I ever decide to make one for myself.
Thank you so much Zidders!! I really appreciate that. 🤘
There's an architectural trick where they vary the size of the shingles as they go up the roof, with the largest shingles on the bottom row and the smallest shingles along the top of the roof. It gives the illusion of the roof stretching up higher than it is. I wonder how that would look on a miniature.
That's really cool!! Thanks for sharing that. I might have to give that a try.
That IS the greatest build i have EVER seen, Great Job. Can't wait to see what you do to top this.
Thank you James 🙏. I’ve got plans !
@@TabletopWitchCRAFT I wish i had the ability to build it from plans
Super awesome well worth the build and watch. Keep em
Coming.
You got it Don, I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
I still don't know how I have missed your channel until now, but I'm grateful to have found it. This was an amazing build that gave me a lot of ideas and encouragement to make them reality. Really good job! You got yourself another subscriber, sir.
Thank you so much! I'm glad you found it useful and enjoyed the video! Also, thank you for your support!
Super cool, John! Especially the Shifting Lands news.
Thank you :)
Man, great job!!! Wow!
Thank you :) !!
Just awesome!!!!
Thank you Kevin.
oh wow, that is awesome news. Going to be so much easier now to get the Shifting Lands products! Thanks for the hookup guys!!!!
You got it. I was pumped to have it all work out!
WOW!!!!! That is FREEKING INCREDABL!!!!! I never liked detail work as I tend to do large builds but DAME your detail work is AMAZING!!!!! I'm working on a hell palace and just don't have the time to lavish such detail but I want you to know that MAN I'm proud of all of that work!!!! Great job Big Guy!!!!
Thanks so much. I tend to get lost in the details... They enter my mind, and I have to add them :)
Wow!! I am blown away. Thank you for another great build!!
You got it :) Thanks for watching and your support !
Man... superb result!!
🤘Thank you!
WOW. You have an amazing talent. It is beautiful .
Thank you Kathy :)
I am about halfway through the build. The plans were great. I have progress pictures if you would like to see. I can't figure out how to attach them. I also built your windmill. I have pics of that as well.
That's awesome, I love to hear that! You can post finished or progress photos of your work on my Fan Art Photo Album on my Facebook page! I'll check them out there!
Absolutely amazing!!!
Thank you Michal :)
Fantastic looking build!
Thank you John
I don't even play tabletop, let alone build sets, but this was fascinating. Beautiful result.
I really appreciate that Mike !! Thank you.
Mind. Blown. Love the details, especially the zombies bustin through the windows. Spooooky!
Thank you :)
