Ah yes, the good ole "I'm a GM content creator who wants to share this cool thing I'm working on.... fortunately none of my players pay attention" gambit. Been there, my dude!
I have to admit that I am no fan of full sized walls inside of buildings and I try to remove as many of the outside walls too to give better visibillity from every angle but damn is that AN AWESOME BUILD!
I definitely see what you are saying about short walls being better for playability but preferred the realism of the full size walls. I appreciate the positivity
At the start of the video you mention how everything you do in the video can be done with a knife rather than a wire table, so here is my question, how do you thin the pieces, cut out large walls, heck the tower, how would you do it with a knife. I tend to use thin dollar store foam for most of my walls and build because I am unable to get cuts like that and would appreciate a better way of doing things.
Technically you can use a knife to do all this stuff but its been my experience thats its ridoculously difficult to get straight, verticle, clean cuts with a blade. If you are certain you enjoy the hobby just upgrade to a hot wire table. You can (like me) get the 35$ one, its like a baby blue color, i seen it come up in various searches online. Then you can make your own fence for itnwith about 5 bucks in materials, also like me. Works perfectly for getting them good cuts. So after about 40$ spent I can do basic clean cuts instead of spending $120 on the proxxon table. But as soon as I can afford to Im going to upgrade so i can get jigs and stuff and do more than just basic clean cuts
If it’s 1inch by 1inch floor tiles, it looks like the main floor would be roughly 14” long and 8” wide with the outer walls, not including the few extra inches for the tower.
Great work - I mean this as purely constructive but the manic tunes kinda put me off - #MidwinterMinis usually has some relaxing music that adds depth to the viewing experience - just a production gripe on an otherwise excellent edit :)
This is one of the coolest builds I've ever seen man. Mad respect.
young man, I would consider it an honor to play on such a masterpiece. I truly feel you can turn this into a well paying and fun job.
Wow! The detail is crazy in this one. Very clever with the hidden basement.
This is the only video of yours I have watched and I have already subscribed. Love the painting, love the furniture. All of it. Great job.
great build. Awesome haunted manor with well detailed interiors. Love the trap door and the cellar filled with coffins.
Thanks for the comment mate!
This awesome. The quality on the build and in the video is great. So glad I subscribed early to watch your progression.
There has definitely been a lot of progression particularly on these latest videos
Damn, that’s dope. The secret crypt under the foundations of the house was a great touch. I love anything haunted or horror-themed like that

Watching this build was breath taking, you sir are a master,
Best fn work on UA-cam especially considering the awsome and simplified techniques. Love it. This is how I will practice my craft from now on

If your games are as much fun as your videos, you're a great DM.
Cheers mate! I haven't had a chance to take a party through this build yet but I am so excited to

@@ThiccolasCage01 unfortunately they don't sell those where I am...
Great job! LOL I'm impressed.
Thanks!
you could probably use these techniques to make the Murder House from Curse of Strahd.
Great build!
I'm glad you like it
Another Stella build
Cheers, it'll have to get used soon
Awesome! You deserve more subs :)
Thanks for the comment mate! I appreciate it. We are slowly building up
Dope work
You should do this for a living. Great advice thanks
Thats the plan, Kick starter will go live when I'm famous
What type of foam did you use for this?
The whole build is XPS foam. That stuff is amazing
Tastiest video I've watched today
Thanks mate!
Could u tell wat kinda material was used to built the wall floors etc
It was XPS foam, its the best crafting material. You can find it at hardware stores
Could I have the rough deminsions for that building? I think I'm going to try and build something like this myself for my games!
If it’s 1inch by 1inch floor tiles, it looks like the main floor would be roughly 14” long and 8” wide with the outer walls, not including the few extra inches for the tower.
@@michaeladams6154 Thanks!
What type of foam do you use
Its XPS insulation foam. I get it from my local hardware store in the insulation section. It is the ultimate crafting material
- Then your players completely ignore the quest this is used for
did you get your game in yet? how did it go?
I haven't yet! I have been waiting for the perfect time to run a one shot through this
fucking sweet build :D
Thanks mate!
how about a tavern?inn
Mmm, detritus

That terrace is too big.
