Can't tell you guys enough what a fantastic job this was. It was such a close fight and you guys really captured the spirit of Gridlife. Thank you so so much.
ude, I have been following your videos for the past few months and I can actually go through the whole thing. Great vids and I love seeing your progress.
If you guys are feeling mildly clickbaited by the thumbnail, head to our Facebook page and check out Andy's record run on South course. It's ridiculous.
Dear Gears and Gasoline I'm in the process of sorting the parts for my 2007 Saturn ion 2 2.2 5sp. I'm doing a full suspension swap from a cobalt to .a. get disk brakes at all 4 corners and .b. get 5 lug tyres. In the rear I will put an sway bar. In the year I've own the car I've noticed the car has great cornering protection since I live on a very curvy road in which I'm able to take corners at speeds excessive of 50mph and the brakes aren't really all that great. What would be a really good brake set up for my car. Thank you in advanced for any feed back.
Man I love watching this series!!! Part of the reason is because I own a 2010 zr1, a 05 Evo 8 and my old lady has a 15 370z nizmo (6 speed manual). It's awesome to see cars you own do well at these events! Can't wait for the next video!
Man, the coverage you guys provide is amazing. I don't mean that in the hyperbolic sense either. The story lines you've written are gripping. The interviews are great and really push the narrative. The cinematography is, well.. Beautiful.. The interviews have at least 2 angles some 3 and that's every single one. The technical aspect of the shot composition is amazing and obviously you guys know how to get results with your gear. Obviously none of that matters without equally skilled editing which is the icing on the cake. You guys are criminally under exposed but your time to reign will come. Usually quality this high is a "Hollywood" product which always lack the soul, authenticity and tightness that has made UA-cam great. At first I thought your videos were some high dollar sponsored bit where a couple of car guys are followed by a huge production crew. Obviously I was wrong and the minute I realized that I Subscribed. Thank you for your contribution to the scene.
This is just purely awesome. How it is filmed, the coverage, the narration, the drivers, the cars, the competition, the camaraderie...don't change a thing, this is entertainment perfection!
he got most his driving experience flying f-15 fighter jets, and riding horseback though the mountains without a saddle, i heard when he was a boy about 6 years old he had a red pull wagon running E-85 on his block. Mr ding has done alot in lifetime
I love how much the announcer's voice reminds me of DJ Atomica from Burnout Paradise and the announcer from Battle Machine in NFS Prostreet. Fits the them perfectly and is a great little nostalgia trip. Makes me think I'm watching some kind of live-action NFS.
Jackie drives his s2000 like and rx8. Keeps the momentum going through corners to make up for the lack of power of corner exits. Very good stuff. He really uses how great a chassis he has to the fullest!
The quality of production from "bunch" of UA-camrs is phenomenal! And "bunch of UA-camrs" is highest praise! You usually get this kind of stuff from production companies that have huge financial investments so knocked it out of the park yet again!
wow!!! big congrats to all the drivers!! You guys don't know how lucky you guys are for having motorsports so readily available to you. My company ProDrive Israel and I are trying to get motorsports goin out here and its a very long process. but its picking up slowly buy surely! can't wait to see all of the competitors in street class in the next event !! good luck to everyone! Happy motoring!
Great series of videos. Being English and cynical I thought there would be loads of high fives and emotional moments. But no. Thoroughly enjoying them. The vibe and atmos of the events really come through. Good stuff 👍👍👍
In a previous video someone asked about him. And i seen someone reply saying times they got that day so i checked them out. Hes a guy from ohio with a UA-cam channel so i subscribed to him. The guy is crazy about the 4 rotors man and very talented when it comes to knowing and building them. Guys awesome
love this series so much, this could be on TV it's so well done! Also mega-inspirational. Whenever I need a new daily I'm definitely getting a Honda fit so I can compete in spec fit!
I think i saw an RS in there at the beginning..it'd be cool to see one decked out in this competition. I also love the diversity in these competitions. It boils down to driver mod. As usual great coverage and i wish they had the time to cover all the classes, so many awesome cars!
Because I am from India, i don't understand much about this kind of racing but who doesn't like race cars. . Love you videography. . Keep up the good work. .
Awesome vid!! Im glad I subscribed :) You can tell whose brake set up was on point at night. That one vette that had the front and rear rotors glowing was set up correctly. Most of the other cars only had the fronts glowing, indicating the rears are not being used to their potential, increasing braking distance, and wearing out the fronts prematurely. This also creates "dive" where the nose of the car sinks, which creates a lot of weight transfer, making it unstable in corner entry.
I was at this event and was asked if I could be filmed as an intro of welcome to gridlife. I promptly said afterwards that this S*** is F***** awesome. In short, you couldnt use the clip. Thanks for the chance though, Im way to awkward to be on film 😂
American muscle cars are underrated nowadays imo, they're amazing cars but their reputation is tarnished by bad drivers. Excluding that, they're pretty hecking awesome.
@@GearsandGasoline I was just wondering because my Gallant's engine didn't look remotely similar to that. It had a flat top, with the ignition wires through 2 coil packs.

Yes please, that thing is pure sex!
*Jdm fanboi ;) Haha
Holy fuck that's sexy
Yeah I'm really shocked how little I see it. They did a shot of it driving in the pits in the first episode and nothing since

The narrator voice in this video sounds like a racing game narrator voice 😂
Burnout Paradise and Grid 2 come into mind!
Well he is one of the commentators of Formula Drift.
prefer this to F1, such a nice bunch and races so close despite different nature of cars, absolutely loving this and thanks for uploading.

Jackie is the best part of this Series....
The commentary this time around was amazing! And Dewey's glowing rotors at the end looking sick.
Put Jackie in that 'Vette and see how fast he really is! Guy is basically a Pro so it's no surprise that S2K is punching above its weight.
