I was so confused on what the ISO, f-stop, and shutter speed is. I mean, I knew what the shutter speed was, but I didn't know what the numbers meant and how to get that long exposure especially for traffic lights or fireworks.
I bought this camera back in June. I have experimented with it quite a bit and figured some stuff out, but I wish you had this video posted, then. Lol. You made it so much easier to understand. Thank you!

Just watched your intro into this camera and honestly I have the S520SX version of this camera but just recently ordered a referb of this from the Canon. I have had the 520 for a while and never expected anything spectacular with it but after viewing this video I am going to try and get the best potential out of this and the 540 when I get it. Thanks for posting this as I am one of you older viewers and really haven't done a lot technically with a camera in 20+ years but now that I have more time i will. Thanks for your video as it makes it easier to understand ans once I have gotten the 540 and I will pass my 520 to my friend who doesn't have any type of decent camera and will steer him to your video as a tutorial.

I've been looking for a camera/camcorder with a flip screen that will Pause in record for filming videos for UA-cam. No luck so far. This camera doesn't have either. Any suggestions for a budget camera that will do this?
I don't think you can. Can't really do that with most cameras, but you can on mobile What you can do is stop recording, record another clip and then put them together using a simple editing software

Got thos camera last week. This only records 1080P wch doesnt really bothers me bec higher resolution such as 4k will just eat up space on my pc. But if i really wanna shoot 4k, i use my goprohero9. Otherwise i use this for photos since and the zoom is the best! I cant wait to get a shot of the fullmoon.
For that you might want to try using your phone Chances are, your phone has a half decent high quality camera. No need to pay extra for the 50x zoom imo
