And also, Mario Kart 7 had many limitations, so they had to remove some elements such as halfpipes and motorcycles. Mario kart 8 poorly recreates the tracks with its ugly remixes. That's why the best Mario Kart will always be the one on the Wii. (Sorry for my bad english).
I agree. Heck, I'd say the graphics are pretty solid(in some areas), and while the layout isn't exactly identical to the original, but it's still pretty faithful. Also, while I agree the tube section isn't as good as the original, it's much better than it was before since it has anti-gravity AND half pipes.
They removed the glider section, it looks kinda cartoonish, they didn't put the lasers from the original track, and I personally prefer the original bgm

Track feels to short. The music really makes up for it in my opinion though. The river section is rather bland, no glider, lack of obstacles, and honestly too simple.
They ruined this track in the remake. 7 and 8 just seem to add unnesecary water and glider parts just because. They also removed the lightning zappers in the tunnel and made the song trash. Koppa Cape is my favourite track from wii and they really destroyed it here. People like this one bacause they say it reminds them of the wii one not because its a good remake.

Not a fan of how they got rid of the lightning zappers, but the river theme is back!
They got rid of the zappers in MK7 and it's been gone since.
Yeah, would've been great if they just kept the blades, but didn't make them electrical this time round.
