For those who don’t know, the reason why tour’s version is section based is because having 2 full laps would allow the player to make way too many actions.
@@ordersquid38 Yes it doesn’t fell like you’re playing on 150cc in tour when you should be. Even 50cc in all 8 mainline Mario Kart games fell faster than tours speed.

@@mariacristinalopezturner3128technically rmx rainbow road 1 and 2 are its original rainbow roads (just heavily based on snes rainbow road just like any of the rmx tracks, besides bowser castle which is based of the gba one)
I don't like how the remake adds more fences in spots, the whole point of the track is that there's very few fences and railings and so you really have to be careful so you don't fall off. Adding more fences nerfs that and lessens or removes the challenge of some spots. Other than that though the remake is very good, just take out the added fences and I'd have zero complaints.
@@Kello_QQ Well yeah I expected it. Doesn't mean I like it or change that I think it's still a downgrade and one of the few blemishes it has and would still be better if it wasn't the case.
I really like the rainbow road ground texture in Tour. I feel like the issue people had with it was not being bright enough. I just love the patterns and glowing animation on it. Apart from that, Deluxe improved on a lot of things like the meteors, road, and tunnels.
When this getting realized, I was concerned in how this track would work!! Lap based or section based? If it was going to be section based, sections 1 and 3 would have been the starting line and sections 2 and 4 would have been at the gilding section!! Also, Mario Kart make us race no longer than 3 minutes which is why I was concerned in how it’ll work in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe!!
I got so scared and so damn excited when the leaks said Wii Rainbow road was coming to switch, when I saw it in tour it looked so bland and boring, but god damn they blew my expectations away in 8DX. They were so faithful, even down to the camera angles of the track intro
@@Randomhumanontheinternet-p7g I think Wii Rainbow Road is better, at least when comparing the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe versions because I've never played Wii or 7.

I agree. I still don’t understand why Mario kart tour only has two laps per race
@@KingdomofEvania100 It’s likely because the karts move so slowly in tour so making it 3 laps would take way too long.

MK8 is known for lowering the difficulty level of tracks. Should've expected that lol

Love how they've tried to recreate the intro cutscene from mkwii in mk8d, when i first saw it i started jumping in my room of happiness

Wait are you sure? In mkwii the limit it 10 minutes and I think in 8 it's 5 minutes

Tour and 8DX modernized the looks of the track. While Wii feels more magical
Wii looked good until I saw the impossible version where it gave me ptsd of that track design
