Mornings can be hectic. And how you spend the first moments of your day can dictate a lot of how you feel and what you do during the rest of the day. For that reason, I try to keep my mornings consistent with a simple 30 minute routine, to set the right intention for the day. In today's video I go over the habits I've implemented in my morning routine to stay healthy and productive.

The 'no phone before breakfast' habit is a great one to have, I've tried to do that more recently along with 'no screen time one hour before bed'

I just realised I said "flax seeds" in the breakfast part. They're actually chia seeds that I put in the bowl 🙂
No that was indeed rice milk! It's a mix of rice-almond milk (they emphasise the "almond" part in the packaging for marketing purposes I assume, but it's mostly rice milk with a bit of almond).

My morning routine for the last 2 months is good 20-30 minute HIIT workout. I really want to lose fat before summer. I am at 250 lbs of body weight and my goal is 220 lbs before July I hope. I even got myself personalized meal plan from Next Level Diet. I am not leaving anything to cause.
Daily HIIT? Not the best way to go, and to lose fat you’re better off by getting into a caloric deficit. Fat needs a lot of oxygen to oxidize (“burning” fat), if all you do is HIIT, all you burn is carbohydrates.
@@russoprimera I mean what about doing HIIT in the morning for 30 minutes the doing LIIT for the rest of the 30 minutes to calm your body...caloric deficit of below 1800 calories a day then a 30 minute HIIT workout in the evening before taking a shower. Its really guaranteed to see weight loss in a month if you do it consistently
Include 20 minutes of watching the ceiling,walls and carpet at the beginning right after waking up and this is me

30 seconds in and I’m already happy I’m watching because this is the first morning routine video I’ve ever seen that has someone waking up at 9am! I like to watch routine videos because it motivates me to push through my own routine. But when so many routines start at 5 or 6 am it makes me feel guilty for sleeping until 8 or 9. So it’s nice to see a routine that matches mine better. That’s the beauty of UA-cam! 😄
I think early mornings are beautiful, serene, and magical. Waking up at 9 AM wastes it all. I wake up just before sunrise and relish every moment of early morning.
@@biggreenbananas8929 we'd love to do that too but we also appreciate the beauty and productivity the night gives us, just have to choose what fits you I guess :)
My morning routine usually includes:
1. waking up at 7:48
2. getting dressed in 35 seconds
3. run out of the dorms with my bag
4. brush teeth in bathroom.
5. attend my 8 AM class
6. push all the way to 11:45
7: Proceeds to eat lunch

I've been making my bed everyday since I was 15 years old. 😅 My older sister taught me to do it everyday, since we used to share the same room.
I like to air my bed to get moisture out then make it after a shower

@@bindicat9070 I was just about to comment this. I gotta admit...I need to start making my bed early in the day. Im actually against making your bed right away after you wake up because you want to air it out and allow moisture to dry. but I like making my bad the keep it dust free and clean. but I dont make it because, with 2 small kids at home with 1 doing distant learning...I need a "breakroom" aka my bed, but under the sheets where its warm and comfortable. Most days I dont make my bed but I'm going to start, so I'm not tempted to veg-out in the day time.
This is by far the best morning routine I've seen on UA-cam.

Sharing some tips from my morning routine!💯
In the morning if my face is a little puffy, I’ll put on an ice pack while doing my stomach crunches. I can do a thousand now. After I remove the ice pack, I use a deep-pore cleanser lotion. In the shower I use a water activated gel cleanser, then a honey almond body scrub. And on the face; an exfoliating gel scrub. Then I apply an herb mint facial mask, which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an aftershave lotion with little or no alcohol. Because alcohol dries your skin out, and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm followed by a final moisturizing, protective lotion.

This is one of the best routines I've ever seen. All people make this videos like: "I don't have flaws and do more thinks from 9-15 than you in all the day." . It really helps to see a good rutine from a more realistic approach thx.

I basically have the same breakfast with a few minor differences, sometimes go for the steel cut oats too! But I live in Japan and in Japan oatmeal costs a lot!

I have the same chair and I recently changed it to the "professional" office chair. I highly recommend, this is just another universe!
I like morning routines. They do get you going. Having been working working from home for the past 4 months, I have begun to add specific activities to my day. While my coffee is brewing, I do a 1 to 1.5 minute plank and do that through out the day to ensure that I have about 10 minutes worth of plank every other day. I also my hourly dumbbell curl so that I can get my workout in instead of setting aside an hour at the end of the day. For some reasons, I like carbonated water more than tap water. That helps with my daily liquid intake. With the nicer weather, I may add in a walk outside if my work schedule permits.

One thing I didn't mention though: if you drink lemon water every morning, I'd suggest rinsing your mouth with a sip of normal water right after, otherwise it could damage the enamel on your teeth in the long run.

I recently got Into morning routine such as meditating for a few mins. Stretching going to the bathroom washing my face or take a quick shower and I gotta tell you my life a lot more relax and enjoyable. So I’m going to try some of your methods too. Keep up the great work

EDIT: this is one of the most sincere morning routines i’ve seen, I’ve felt bad lately for staying late until 1-2 and waking up at 9-10, this reminded me it is not that bad as long as I sleep my 7-8 hours every night 👍🏼

Definitely don't feel bad for staying up late. Some people's internal clocks are just set at different times. In the end we all sleep the average 7-8 hours regardless of what time we go to bed/wake up at.

Quick tip: Drink water by sitting down and drink warm or hot water with lemon. Also brush your teeth before eating and take a shower before eating

@@tigre7951 Drinking warm water with lemon just elevates the functioning and effectiveness of lemon to cut down fat and detoxify. Also according to our Indian tradition and the way of life, it is considered sacred to have meal after shower as it is believed that "Cleanliness is Godliness". It makes you feel better, cheerful and positive throughout the day. Also it is better for the digestion as there is no sudden decrease in the temperature of the stomach after breakfast that can cause if you shower. So it is healthier for the body in the long run. Try it out!

Great vid tim! I used your code for my first geologie order about a week ago. Some changes I've been trying are using an alarm clock instead of my phone to check the time/set alarms and definitely reducing phone time in the morning. I also agree a ton with wearing a nicer outfit even if you're staying inside -- it sets a positive, productive mood!
