"Four different dogs" leveled me the first time I heard it, and Kristen's whole energy toward Kipperlilly in this scene was delightful. I don't even think Kipperlilly is necessarily going to be a villain as such, but it's nice to see Kristen committing, lol.
@@ccvv1119 Yeah, she's definitely up to something and her current role seems antagonistic. I'm just not sure whether that's a short term thing or a long term thing. I think it's funny and ironic how Siobhan IRL was the one who was actually having a hard time in school while Adaine is an ace student, meanwhile Emily said she loved high school and college but Fig is very much not a schoolgirl
I do like how one potential antagonist's key ability seems to be COMPETENCE. Like, the Bad Kids are such total shenanigan-machines that a focused and competent person is suddenly an immediate archrival.
Kristen has canonically died twice, once by corn and another by UNIcorn, punched her former god in the jaw, brought herself back from the dead, and many other things over the span of only 2 years. She is physically incapable of being intimidated by this pack of 4 dogs
It’s so funny watching Brennan’s reactions because on one hand he DESPERATELY wants to laugh, but as Cleopatra Coppercreature (or whatever her name is) he wants to be so so so so so passive aggressive and pissed
I started listening to Rotating Heroes Zac's podcast on Spotify and Ally said their mum used to breed dogs (tiny daschunds i think) and it suddenly clicked to me the lethal precision and how lightning fast they were with '' oh so you're like four different dogs? a white family's fleet of dogs?'' lmao
You can tell Brennan is trying desperately not to break, probably from a combination of Ally dunking so catastrophically hard, and probably just a little bit of ptsd from getting bullied in his youth
In fairness, DMs love giving gnomes and halflings weird ass names. My DM named a random halfling Philopena Pippitwhistle. Totally serious character, not a joke in any respect. Except for that name.
"Aguefort favours some students more than others" you mean like 1 student in the whole batch passing all their classes for the year by finding 1 person? yeah... sounds like she's completely complicit in these rules and is going to be quite the hypocritical egomaniac in the coming season.
I love how KLCK was clearly designed to be Riz’s foil, and Dawn was made to be Kristen’s, but Ally just hated the character so much that KLCK is _her_ rival now 😂
Emily is all over that shit. Off the top of my head, she frantically was writing down the cryptic messages Sophie got in her head in the early episodes of TUC before she met Jackson.
I've pingponged on liking Kristen (the character) or not liking her all the way through sophomore year. This season has cemented her as one of my favorite members of the bad kids. The whole bit with Ally talking about the energy drink and the bag of sandwiches, and then the inflection as they say the line again is so good.
Kipperlilly does have bitchy energy, however I would like to point out that she introduced herself nicely, had her culture's naming conventions ridiculed, was insulted repeatedly, and watched them talk about destroying her, and she continued to be relatively nice. I'm waiting for the reveal that she and her party are just really chill and the Bad Kids just went waaay overboard with their suspicion. She's literally just vibing, man.
Nah man, I've seen enough YA teen fiction to know she has major narc energy. She might not be the big bad, but she sure ain't a friend. No one in ballet flats, knee high white socks and a tight blonde ponytail has ever been a good guy.
Since she wasn't in the line to go to class I'm really sold on her being the professor. Maybe whoever finds the professor becomes the professor and has to leave clues everywhere the whole year
😂😂😂 so far this season the bad kids are creating custom villains for each one of them based on how they are treating everyone. Unintentionally becoming the new villains after having saved the world 3 times is hilarious. Also the way brennan is dealing with figs non stop fucking with everything by causing bad luck rolls is GENIUS
I feel like she’s EITHER the Penelope of the season, like a bad person working as a stooge for the real big bad, OR she’s actually perfectly nice and competent and tired of getting fucked over by Aguefort.
@@jimmy_the_squid9456 I believe they call it "Dawson casting" now, but yeah, it's been around for a long time. I know it was already a thing in 70s films, which now would be half a century ago. Wow, I'm old. It's always seemed completely bizarre to me. I grew up watching European films. If a character was 13, that character was played by a 13 year old actor, no matter what the role was.
A purely personal gripe, but I find Allys style of humor and playstyle quite painful. She overextends bits that aren't landing, talks over the others constantly and seems to actively try and bring any joke possible into the real world/their own personal issues. I get that many people find them brilliant but its just such a grating playstyle for me. Not to mention how they constantly force themselves into scenes involving others only to throw in some nonsensical bit.
