Really appreciate your comment, thank you so much! It means the world to me to know that these videos are helpful 🙏
Hi Jason, welcome to the world of endurance racing. I started following it seriously about 4 years ago and it's endlessly fascinating. There's such depth to it, and I'd recommend watching some of the older races, especially Le mans 2011 and 2008. And do subscribe to this channel. He knows his stuff and has good insite and opinions. Greetings from Oxford UK.
Introducing the GT3 cars is really gonna revive the WEC
Yeah with Hypercar starting to pick up, and GT3 coming in 2024 along with the other Hypercars, the WEC is going to thrive. The next golden age has already begun!
This race was a pretty good in all classes, with a close battle till the end in the GTE class and the battles with Porsche, Ferrari, Cadillac, and Peugeot at some points. I still think the Toyota’s are too fast for the BoP which takes all the competition for the win away in the LMH class. This race was a positive for Peugeot and Glickenhaus after how their Sebring race went. Shame for Vanwall when they had a brake failure and crashed out of the race after being within the points. The Ferrari’s brake dust “fart” was a little unexpected but that car didn’t go off. Hopefully the hypercar battle can be better at Spa and Le Mans with the 2nd Cadillac and new JOTA Porsche. Glad that Corvette could win again (albeit a smaller margin than Sebring). Overall I think this race could be listed as a positive with great racing. Hopefully we can have more great action throughout the rest of the season!
The Toyotas being too fast is an interesting one. Ferrari are the only ones to approach them in the battle for first and lap pace, but even then, they finish a lap ahead in the end consistently. It is beginning to seem a bit tilted even with the excusing that its just team experience.
@@117johnpar hi, I agree. BOP is supposed to level the field but Toyota are having it too easy. And the excuses are wearing thin.
Hello ;) It wasn't an uninteresting race. Doriane Pin, the 19-year-old French, put in a good performance for Prema.
The sister car is faster!
It's not "NO"... I had to smile a little when I heard this team radio conversation at Ferrari.
Brendon Hartley delivered an amazing performance in qualifying and the race.
But next weekend in Spa:
Two Cadillac & Porsche number 3 by Hertz Team Jota.
I'm looking forward to spa!
Greetings from Austria
Completely agree! Doriane Pin and Brendon Hartley definitely did amazing jobs! And your right! Spa is going to be super cool with the addition of the ever expanding hypercar grid!
It's great to see such female talent getting the drives and absolutely shining. Greetings from Oxford UK.
As always great review! Thank you
Glad you enjoyed it!
Awesome video. Thank you for making this for the people who like endurance racing and new fans. Time prompt nature and being concise. Keep up the good work.
Thank you so much for your support! Your comment makes my day.
I wish the cars has underglow at night doring tthe race
I’m so very glad that Villeneuve is ok! That brake failure was scary, and potentially disastrous.
Br0ther
Nice video! It was an interesting race not exciting like imsa's but is good to see that porsche improvement. Let's go #6 !! greetings from chile
Thank you, and I agree with your statement!
Go Porsche!
I believe Vanwall released a statement saying their brake failure was due to debris in the brakes. I’ll try to find the post and show y’all
Surely having to replace the steering rack is a reliability problem, it is just the time of when it failed is before the race. It was not functioning properly to drive the car.
So much for seat of the pants ...
next round 3 in spa
It’s going to be amazing!
I really don’t like how the ACO is treating the non hybrid lmh’s
I also don't like it too, sadly privateer just don't have the budget with the bug guns
They need weight reduction
@@gtone339 Glick have the best of both Power and Weight yet they don't have hybrid and still far behind the manufacturers
@@趙祖睿 the Vanwall doesn’t. Glickenhaus might have favourable bop but there are many other factors that influence performance.
Hello.
Glickenhaus took pole position in Monza in 2022!
Le Mans 2022:
Glickenhaus Podium with Bronze! And 4th place.
Spa Francorchamps 2022:
Pole Position for Glickenhaus.
Glickenhaus can do it! Vanwall has only the second race, if the brakes hadn't burst into flames Vanwall would have been better than Glickenhaus again.
Vanwall has pretty much the same starting point as Glickenhaus!
And now pushing everything on the bop or budget is by far the easiest way!
The Glickenhaus vehicle is just junk in 2023 so far!
Where has the 2022 performance gone?
Portimao 2023 was not, I repeat, not their first race for Glickenhaus in the World Endurance Championship.
Okay, you can't compare F1 & WEC, but still. 3 teams, Alpine, Glickenhaus & Vanwall. And Vanwall are currently by far the best in this list! As Underdogs and Newcomer!
Alpine in the LMP2 class the same! They have experience from the Hypercar class. A full racing season. What's the matter with them?
They are even in F1, where it is always said that it is the premier class?
Alpine won the 6 Hours of Monza 2022!
Greetings from Austria
I don't want to make accusations, but aren't Toyota cars much faster than other manufacturers? I know they've had these cars much longer than the others, but isn't it possible that Toyota is cheating, like Acura did at Daytona? I just want other opinions
or maybe they have years worth of experience and data they use to make a very strong car
@@MrTin_09over the course of a race, I can understand Toyota winning, but the BoP should give much closer qualifying
@@MrTin_09 I'm following the IMSA races too and the cars there are more balanced for a competition, compared to the WEC it doesn't seem that they are very balanced, but this was only the second race and as you said, Toyota has much more experience and date than the others (if you got confused what I said, sorry, English is not my native language)
Toyota has been at the WEC without a break since 2012.
Experience, the work on the GR010 over the winter of 2022/2023 stands out.
Back then, Toyota didn't always have it easy against Audi and Porsche in the former LMP1 class.
And if you look at the 2021/2022 season, you can see very clearly that the GR010 was worth scrap in stages.
Toyota got it right. Less marketing, presentations etc around the GR010, shut up and just do it!
Shut up and just do it.
This is what distinguishes Toyota 2023!
And rider satisfaction with the GR010.
They know exactly what is important!
greetings from Austria
I understand well what you are saying, but what doesn't make sense to me is that Porsche and BMW are already keeping up with the other competitors at IMSA and considering that Porsche is using the same cars in both competitions they shouldn't be so behind in the WEC. I mentioned Toyota's cheating to start a discussion, but being able to go one more lap in second place, for me it's already a little strange, I don't think the BoP wouldn't be so badly balanced.
And greetings from Brazil
I completely forgot that Peugeot hyper doesn't have a rear wing technically 😂
It definitely is a interesting design! Quite you unique compared to the others
cheerz from brazil, endurance is growing up here
Keep it up, love all the news and recaps you provide.
Will do! And thank you!
the best quick race review in the wec segment. thank you!
Thank you very much for the compliment!! Glad you enjoyed the video
