Thanks FJ. If Penske #6 win the drivers title they deserve it. And with Penske intending on moving drivers around for 2025 it will be interesting if they keep the # 6 trio together.
I think that for anyone that has watched the race, of interest would be an interpretation of the Toyota's bizarre no. 7 pit strategy in DeVries' stint, that was the actual reason for dropping no. 7 down enough so that it ended up contenting in the midfield with no.5 instead of staying in the relatively green(er) pastures of the 2nd/3rd position.
Was certainly a great race. FormulaJonah are you potentially gonna do a video aboit Lamborghini programme and the rumour that they will do an Imsa programme only? It would be a great shame if we was to lose Lambo in the WEC.
I'm new to endurance racing so there's probably an obvious answer to what I'm about to ask, but why is the Alpine A424 only competing in WEC even though it's built around LMDh regs?
When Alpine first announced it was rumour they would run IMSA as well. Dont know what happen to that plan, probably they need a team to run that program. Or they think LMdH is cheaper than full LMh program.
You have to build more copies of the car and find the team to operate them in IMSA. All of that costs money, and as they also have an F1 program, I doubt they have the funds necessary to run in both championship.
Because of the convergence of the two specs of cars, on top of the fact that Alpine doesn't have a presence in the US (the thing that IMAS cares about).
Great question! It’s definitely possible that Alpine could go to IMSA, but as pointed out by a few other comments here, they need a team to run the operation, and other resources as well. Alpine are eligible to race in IMSA, it’s just a matter if they want to race. Awhile back Marshall Pruett and John Doonan spoke about more manufacturers joining, and John mentioned that there is a WEC brand that could join IMSA… I believe that Alpine was who he was referring to.
I would love to, however there is too much on my schedule right now to do a full video on the GT race at Monza. Hopefully one day I can get to the point where I can do more consistent content on other endurance races outside of the WEC and IMSA.
That was a real good race. Enjoyed watching it and I'm happy for both BMW and Alpine.
This was such an insane race, i was glad i stayed awake the whole night watching it. Nice video!
I was allways started a alarm for every 1h to watch the race for 15min and then I waked up early for the last 2h
It definitely was a great race! Glad you enjoyed it, and this video!
Nice video. Nice to see the two brother on the podium. Keep up the good work.
Best WEC race so far
It was awesome for sure!

Yes! Definitely interesting times ahead. I am hoping that Porsche Penske will keep the No. 6 pairing together for next year, but we will see

It feel good to see mick on the podium again.
Fact: TGR Team KeePer CERUMO’s KeePer Angel Minori Sasaki, race queen from the 2024 Super GT series was a grid ceremony girl for the 6-hour Fuji race

Best qualified result and worse race result for cadillac 😢

I'm calling it... The BMW hypercar will get its first WEC win next year
Starting on pole and ending like that is so sad for the beloved Caddy😔

I think the #5 Porsche moved under braking to block Kubica, but whatever. It was a bad situation with like 8 or 9 cars going 3 and 4 wide into turn 1.
For what I saw in the race was that the Cadillac crashed because the alpine reacted late on the lmgt3??
bro talk about the monza race today
