Excellent recipe. The wonderful thing about rabbit, is it practically demands to be eaten with hands, and not cutlery. Succulent, elegant dishes, and you just pick up a chunk of rabbit, and eat it.
This is a first for me after eating rabbit for 50 years i must do this one. Don't forget to wipe the chopping board to cut onions before you cook them for 2 hours haha. Thanks Scott
That is pretty much the same dish that our cook at the hunting camp and what I prepared at home. You can also do Grey Squirrel the same . Make some mashed potatoes an put it on top for gravy. Can not go wrong. Excellent dish.
I just started raising rabbits and i really enjoy your rabbit recipes... Everyone says to just sub rabbit into a chicken recipe which is all great and everything... Just enjoy seeing recipes that are meant for rabbit
I wish we still had a proper butcher in Sweden. I mean one in every village. As it is now, all you can hope for is a proper farmer and buy from them, and then try your best. I'm glad to have you to teach me how to do it. I'll blunder along and hope for the best. Thank you!
I am still amazed at your technique and demonstration. You can take the simplest of food and turn them into a 3 Star Michelin dish. Thank you for the video.
That looks exceptionally lovely. Italian seasoning mixed with hot pepper powder/flakes sounds good too. And I still have mom's recipe for noodles like that.
Great looking dish mate With out sounding like I’m telling u what to do I use to just bing tomatoes in like that too but I seen someone say add a tea spoon of tomato paste and always cook through a bit first like with the onion add tins and a touch of sugar it gets rid of that tinned tomato taste but my hats off to you it looks great and always makes me hungry lol
It's amazing really, i have been Sub'd and been watching the SRP for years now and thought i had seen it all, then my boy pulls this out of the hat, lol. Awesomeness to the Max bro. The Cat's PJ's mate and me and the Monkey will be slotting a few Bugsies this week so this is on the menu. Keep em coming amigo. Cheers, the Mooster!.
G'day Paul. I am sure Scott will give you his tuppence also but i have looked into this before mate. City Pigeons in the UK can carry Chlamydia which can then be passed onto humans via contact and digestion. They also have many other fungal issues that can cause the handler to become very sick. Rather than shoot the city birds, it might be more prudent to trap and feed said bird on grain for a period of two weeks to clean their system. This might work but again there are risks.I am not sure i would risk it if you are in London, Manchester, Glasgow or any of the larger cities, if you are in a semi rural city say Harlow, Oxford, Hull just off the top of my head, i would guess you would be ok. Interesting subject though. Cheers Moose.
G'day Paul, i was thinking the exact same as you mate, when i lived in the UK, i thought what a waste! then after the research i started to get it. To be honest mate, i think if you treat them like Squirrel, i.e. put them in the drink to make sure all tics and nasties leave the fur before field dressing, you will be apples mate. I love Pigeon, best i had was in Lebanon, there they use nutmeg and grill the little burgers with lime, bloody magic mate. Keep us posted on how you go Paul. Very cool idea mate. Cheers Moose.
Hi Paul, a good minute or so mate. We used hot water with Squirrels back in the day, like chooks, most of the feathers will pull or full out regardless. I am sure there is a method out there that will fit the bill mate. Alcohol, might leave a taste to the bird, same with Soap i would imagine. Let us know how you go. Cheers Moose.
Love your videos Scott, I hope I can purchase your books from over here in the states (fingers crossed). If not I should be over in Derbyshire, this autumn and maybe I can purchase it then. Cheers!
I was just getting ready to go out and get some rabbits When I got this video in suggestions lol Great video man i love small and big game keep them coming
Great video Scott. Wonder what this fish would be like if you de boned the rabbit then minced it with egg and bread crumbs. Make them into meat balls and then make this sauce.
nice vid as always m8,thinkin im gona try it with rice instead of pasta, just seems rice would suit it more, but ill try both options. as for the food police, you dont have to clean your board after using raw meat if your cooking the veg.
Loving it. Can’t wait to give it a crack. Have you got a version off the bone as my kids might balk at little bones...... Also please change your ?smoke alarm batteries - beeping all the way through the video.
Hi Scott, I know this may be against tradition, but are you able to come up with a haggis type dish that does not use offal. My family would eat that but will not eat haggis due to the minced up lungs etc. They think it smells too much like a nackers yard.
So you prepped the bunny on the board... Then cleaned the board before prepping the onion and garlic that went into the same pot as the rabbit? #stopcleaningtheboard #youcantwin Looks so good I'm gunna get rabbit from the freezer to try this.
I may be wrong but i think it's the same thing. A field of Canola plants look just like a field of Oil seed rape plants we have all over the uk countryside in summer.
Bryan Battista Maybe it's just marketing then. Canola oil is very low cost over here. The stuff Scott is using looks a bit darker than the common canola oil we use though. Perhaps it's like regular olive oil vs extra virgin.
I get throat itches if i eat too much tomatoes, its a minor allergy, so i have to eat it in moderation can you tell me how to alter this recipe accordingly because i really want to try it.
Excellent recipe. The wonderful thing about rabbit, is it practically demands to be eaten with hands, and not cutlery. Succulent, elegant dishes, and you just pick up a chunk of rabbit, and eat it.
Love it and Love the Sugarhill Gang ref. Keep cooking and keep sharing
I love the song! It brings me back. Love from Tallahassee, Florida! 🙂

I love this guy.
Yeah Scott, the right dish for me. As an Italian and lover of cooked Rabbits I really appreciate this dish.

This is a first for me after eating rabbit for 50 years i must do this one.
Don't forget to wipe the chopping board to cut onions before you cook them for 2 hours haha. Thanks Scott

Lovely!
That is pretty much the same dish that our cook at the hunting camp and what I prepared at home. You can also do Grey Squirrel the same . Make some mashed potatoes an put it on top for gravy. Can not go wrong. Excellent dish.

Whenever I process anything I hear Scott Rea's voice in my head. Does this happen to anybody else?
Don't get my wife started. Every time she uses bay leaves, my son asks if she cracked them to release their essential oils.
I wish we still had a proper butcher in Sweden. I mean one in every village. As it is now, all you can hope for is a proper farmer and buy from them, and then try your best. I'm glad to have you to teach me how to do it. I'll blunder along and hope for the best. Thank you!

I'll try this dish soon looks well nice ..dune the fried pigeon and pheasant super they was : )
You should try Ligurian style rabbit: it's stewed with a sauce made of onion, red wine, pine nuts and taggiasca olives (a special tasting variety)
Hey Scott, another great video. I was wondering if you could make a video how to debone a carp? Greetings from the Czech Republic

Well done 😋😋😋I love rabbits so much but why they look so much blue !!!?

Great video Scott. Wonder what this fish would be like if you de boned the rabbit then minced it with egg and bread crumbs. Make them into meat balls and then make this sauce.

What all is in the arrabiata seasoning?
I raise rabbits for meat so this is something I am very likely to try.
Want your pot. Is it on Amazon?
Hi Scott, I know this may be against tradition, but are you able to come up with a haggis type dish that does not use offal. My family would eat that but will not eat haggis due to the minced up lungs etc. They think it smells too much like a nackers yard.

you cool Scott. show me how to get the whole prime rib my brother.
I have a question. When I hunt. I want to be able to eat what I kill. How would I fix, racoon, beaver, coyote, bobcat.
Is rapeseed oil any different than the canola oil we produce here in Canada?
I may be wrong but i think it's the same thing. A field of Canola plants look just like a field of Oil seed rape plants we have all over the uk countryside in summer.
