He’s a much cheaper option that adds a bit of range. His issue is his combat stats leave a bit to be desired, but if you need to save the points, he’s a great choice nonetheless

Skaven are absolutely on my list
Sounds like they've improved a lot since 1st edition, a friend brought them to a game not long after they were released and they seemed to struggle to do anything of note back then. Those bestigors definitely look quite impressive now!
I didn’t play them in first, but they are a very solid bespoke warband in second. Bespoke Warbands can often struggle to make an impact when Compendium factions offer so much variety, but Spire Tyrants can hold their own.
