I love how this game has a sort of '60s sci-fi thing going on where everything references space and planets - the coffee is called "TerraBrew," and you're asked if you've been "living under a moon rock", etc, like it's an episode of The Jetsons. I'm waiting for someone to use an exclamation like "crumbling comets!" or demand they get paid in "space bucks".
@@LyleShnubon the same note, most abilities like the boost pack and even the combat slide are skills, so maybe it's worth investing early on them to access the most content you can on the long run
tysm! i think starfield might be my favorite that i've ever done. i feel so much of the starfield branding aesthetics and stuff mesh v well with my own thumbnail template. lol, they've even got a prominent circle
These get released late at night for me (not sure if that's an intentional schedule or just happenstance) so i always have a fun video to watch to take up my morning! Better than coffee.
My gamer instincts scream at me that, since Donna is bringing up her boyfriend Tony constantly, there's going to be some curveball thrown in about him. Maybe he's a robot? Or an AI? Or maybe something simpler, like he's a huge jerk. Also, good to hear the voice of Armin Shimerman (Quark from Deep Space Nine and Andrew Ryan from Bioshock) as Walter Stroud. He was a national board member for SAG-AFTRA for years and has been on the front line in the current strike. If you've never seen it, the Deep Space Nine episode "Bar Association" is one of the most unambiguously pro-union episodes of television ever made, and features the rare treat of a Ferengi quoting Marx. "He was more than a hero. He was a union man."
I’m absolutely blown away by the emotion and voice acting. The realistic emotions displayed while talking is phenomenal and is nothing like any other BGS game it’s wild
The tour has messed up half the time for me like it did for you. Luckily it worked on my first character so I know which room is mine. I play on SSD but I did try on HDD just to see the difference. And I tried different character names to see what Vasco would actually use. I have been called Captain Jack when I used Jack as a last name. And Captain Rogers when I made a Buck Rogers. Nothing else worked for me. Watching these after I have played the game a bit myself. You ask questions as you think out loud and I know it's been a week and I'm sure you have figured things out. But for anyone reading when in the Helmet menu and Spacesuit menu default on keyboard is T shows at very bottom of screen, to show or hide in breathable air. When you were deciding on which button for stealth, I set my key bindings the same as I use in Skyrim and Fallout 4. I love your playthroughs on the other games that you play. Pretty sure it is like Fallout 4 to wait you can sit in a chair if there is no bed.
Sarah ALWAYS screws up the tour. I've done this intro 5 times and 5 times out of 5 she will talk to Noel and break the tour. I talk to Noel about everything except the tour to trigger her dialogue with Noel, then go back and ask once she shuts up.
lol i'm glad you got coffee for donna, I get her coffee everytime i pass through the area, i never use the gross food she gives me but i want to help her and her bf achieve their dream lol edit, also my noel tour broke in the same exact way, with sarah coming up to chat and then nothing
Hey Lyle! I dont know if Starfield explains this. It was found in a reddit post, I'm not even 100% sure it's true, but it said your cutter will actually open some doors if you try lazering off the hinges
i honestly don't mind the nameless npcs that much. It's definetely better than having a population of ~100 in a big town, like it is in skyrim. They could have randomized names though at least, I guess. Also yay for subway milk! I wonder if there is some kind of deeper reasoning behind that reward. It seems too weird not to.
You should try searching all around new Atlantis for those skill books that you've been finding, it's not a good idea to pick up useless junk it just takes up room in your inventory and it's virtually worthless.... If you want to increase the value of items, invest in economic skill.
idk, what's your hardware setup? it's possible that i've just lucked out with a setup that the game has been super optimized for because i've even been cranking up my settings. my full pc specs are on the channel's about page. i also play on 1080p instead of 1440 or 4k
@@LyleShnub Admittedly my hardware ain't the best. Im really enjoying your content.... buuuuut when you went to unequip your spacesuit and did it and then you went back and equipped it back on, that was really cringe. You make me cringe alot but you're pretty wholesome so it sort of evens out.
I was about to say you should put normal clothes, because that could interfere in the reactions of npcs and the guard mocks you for wearing a helmet 😂 consider wearing normal clothes in civilized planets
Lyle you literally took off your space suit, then put it back on before exiting the menu.

@Lyle Shnub in the space suit menu there's a button to press to hide your spacesuit in safe environments
no worries, i end up either figuring it out or looking it up in a video or two

Hey thank you gently viewer! I didn’t know how Sarah was able to (my follower) but I wasn’t on planets and my ship.
I had no idea either so thank you!
I literally just finished the last episode and you literally just uploaded the new one, sweet lmao
I can’t get enough of the shnub
That "Wompin' Bot" scene was hilarious! 😂
I love how you do your thumbnails btw.

Three videos in one day. Its like the holiday has come early. Loving all the series right now.
Man you bring me joy Lyle

I love how the artifact piece float around like they are going to form anything other than just a ring.
The milk thing made me laugh so hard. Definitely the devs just playing with us for running around after some girl with a boyfriend :D

I got a good laugh when the guy who has played Fallout and Skyrim didn't know how to remove gear.

The Gun vendor left hand side of leaving the lodge will sell “old earth shotgun” which is bad ass! Holds like 6 rounds and is a pump shotgun
I haven't been this excited for a game since the outer worlds it looks amazing
I understand save scumming…. But Lyle should have to make cannon the grenade thrown in the town 😂😂😂😂😅😅😅
Is it just me or is anyone else scouring Temu & Amazon for cube food molds so we can make Chunks brand cheesesteaks?
AAHHH THE SPACEFARER

Jemison merch and all of the shops are on the left side of the space port after you get scanned.
I've been looking forward to this;
Skyrim: 156. Starfield:5
Bro. You crack me the fuck up! Love the videos
Ep 5 , let's go
It reminds me of star trek too.
I wonder if the names on that war memorial are actually the names of developers who passed away during the game's production
Check with galbank for collection enforcer missions
I think Barrett collected the other artifacts before.

I like the nameless NPCs. Makes it simple to know who I can talk to and who I shouldn't bother with.
