I'm not completely caught up yet, but if you haven't considered it yet, I'd be interested in watching the ship and outpost building, even if those wind up as unlisted videos, like character creation.
Companions generally have a decent chunk of environment related dialogue that lets them react to the conditions on any given planet, do not get too frightened of their commentary, your own HUD will let you know if you are at risk of or suffering from environmental damage or conditions by the blinking or permanent icons above your O2/CO2 meters at the bottom left. You will know you are closer to gaining damaging environmental conditions by the beeping noise that is in the background when those icons are flashing.
Funny thing, on my application I actually filled it out as if it was myself (I RP as myself on initial playthroughs of games) meaning: no experience, little school, and a lot of VIP protection service experience (taking care of rich idiots both as their security and otherwise), and my summary said I was an ideal candidate haha so there is some level of reactivity within actually filling it out.
I can’t wait for the second Starfield playthrough when Lyle sides with Zoe and starts being a filthy Trade Authority sympathizer. My head canon is Trade Authority is just house Hlalu
OK, I just love the lore of this game so far! All based on real life stuff like Galileo and the Mars Face! Fingers crossed for Zetans references & Easter eggs though! 🤞 37:11 "Oops, there goes a missile." -famous last words, Lyle Shnub 2330 Where did this guy get his pilot license? 😳
Lyle! Just want to recommend that you spread out your perk points as the challenges are not retroactive, and you may want to be working on multiple challenges at once rather than one skill at a time! Great work and fantastic videos!
As Starfield's roots are HEAVILY based in the TTRPG called Traveller, I am more than a little pleased that Andromeda Kepler refered to you as a 'traveller'. It is a small easter egg/ acknowledgement of one of the inspirations for this game! I am personally referring to my character as 'traveller' (not their in-game name) for the same reasons (as opposed to 'star farer' or 'captain' etc)
The first time i heard the voice of the adoring fan I INSTANTLY loved him hahaha this is soooo perfect that they added him in starfield !!! I didn't even see him on my screen and all i was seeing is the wood elf with the creamy haircut 😂😂😂 i never expected to see or hear him again aside from Oblivion 🤯 🎉
I think it does this by default to try and incentive the fact you can walk around freely? I landed in the exact same spot when I started too. But who knows.
Quick tip - Hold Right Mouse Button while or before mining to "spin up" your laser cuter. You will mine fuch faster then! :) Something like a minigun spinup but for a fictional laser cuter!
Don't know about yall, but I love how "Well" the Well was done. I love its rugged nature compared to Atlantis up top. Edit: And how to read time on planets is on your watch. When you go into scan mode. It's right above Mars it shows the yin yang planet indicating night and day, but it shows it without scan mode too just with less information.
A few times early on I've found myself forgetting I'm even in New Atlantis when I would load back into the well after breaks. It's such a small space but it feels really good to walk around in.
Hey Lyle, Apparently on New Atlantis there was a terminal that explained why earth is uninhabitable. Grav Drive Testing caused the Earths magnetosphere to collapse.
As Starfield is based on the TTRPG called Traveller, I have been referring to my character as a 'Traveler'. I feel that is a little more refined/classy. Andromeda Kepler even referred to Lyle as such in this episode.
I noticed something in the way you play that could get some efficiency if you did it differently. How do you feel about backseat gaming? Especially seeing how BSG doesn't give any hints towards it
I love this game, i really do! But the part where you were trying to dock to the star station highlights a big issue with the game, very poor tutorialisation haha
I will never, ever forgive whatever dumbass at Bethesda made it possible to fast travel directly from the middle of a city, into your ship, and to another solar system directly from the mission menu. At that point, why even have an open world at all? I cannot tell you how many playthroughs I have quit watching because as soon as the player discovers this, they never do anything but travel directly to every mission straight from the mission menu, like they're playing an old goddamn PS2 game with a menu level-select system. I really really really hope the rest of this playthrough is not filled with that shit.
This is going to sound pretty idiotic, but I had to look up what the word creamy means... So basically you're calling the adoring fan excellent and first rate. I just hadn't heard anybody use that word other than for talking about food. Or as some kind of innuendo.
Oh no, in this case I really am referring to food, lol. Oblivion's Adoring Fan had a haircut that looked like a dollop of cream or an ice cream cone. I called him the creamy man all throughout the Oblivion playthrough. I think it did also work as innuendo a few times, but mostly it was because of his hair looking like cream, lol
@@LyleShnub yeah that's right, it was this blonde dollop looking haircut I remember that... I did beat the arena quest line pretty quickly... I'm glad they kind of reminisce on that and try to recreate it in starfield it's hilarious...

same here!
This has to be said, the Speech mechanics is just like New Vegas and good god it makes me happy

Yet again, more starfield! ❤

It's me, hi, I'm the incident, it's me

The South African sounding accents on Mars make me feel right at home.
Trevor is aussie though
@@TossMySalad69 For sure. But some of the other accents remind me of home.
You forgot to go into the basement of the Constellation base and the room with the watch case is yours.

Day/Night cycle is on your watch, the planet changes.
I was shocked when you just started shooting someone and said “NO WAY!”
Lmfao. Cool that it tracks the incident though
Frick yeah!
Starfield!
Starfield: *NAURRRR* Edition
I did the same thing when i went to mars, i accidentally made my own landing spot a mile away from the actual launch pad
I think it does this by default to try and incentive the fact you can walk around freely? I landed in the exact same spot when I started too. But who knows.
Enjoying the let’s plays I love your content ❤

That game is truly awesome
I stay up for this.
I've been looking forward to this
You testing the incident counter was fan fucking tastic. ❤

54:25 it's actually literally impossible lol
That docking sequence was painful! 😅
Ep 8 , let's go !
The space fairer is a good title but it lacks the pizazz of the dragon born

The Game never tells you how to dock. I had to google a Video to figure out how to do it.
1:01:15 you can change ur name, appearance (down to even body type), and pronouns all at the Enhance! (i think they're called that)
I love this game, i really do! But the part where you were trying to dock to the star station highlights a big issue with the game, very poor tutorialisation haha
👍
yeah, why would anyone be mining iron when they could be on a ship MADE of iron??? what the hell sarah
🤠🤖
Is it me or does andromeda sound like ysolda 😂

First
You missed a material gather quest on the Space Platform Deimos btw. A woman gives it to you. It’s a genre of quest that forces the Outpost system.
damn i was so hyped thinking u were gonna recruit that scholar lady 🥲
Andromeda?
