  • Whether you're in Juneau, Alaska while sailing on an Alaskan Cruise or visiting for the weekend there is so much to do! We spent only 24 hours in Juneau, Alaska but we were still able to see so much. The town is perfectly set up to host touristS and Alaska Cruise ships! Cruises in Alaska are a great way to visit the inside passage here in Alaska. We went to Mendenhall Glacier, explored downtown Juneau, ate at the iconic Tracy's Crab Shack and so much more! We truly enjoyed our time in Juneau!

Watching this video, I'm glad I got to experience this place cruiseless. I had a completely different vibe. Next time I suggest spending a few more days and visiting the Glacier Gardens, Douglas Island, Tracy Arm and the Alaska State Museum.

The cruise ships certainly bring in the crowds. Both a fun aspect to have it feel so lively but also a negative aspect of having to fight those crowds. Those look like great suggestions, we will have to check them out if we make it back down to Juneau!

I've been to the places you have visited Jordan and Soph. Like Fairbanks, there is a lot of history of these Alaskan Cities that has a lot to do with Gold Rushes. Families came up to Alaska and never left. I knew decendents of propectors who came up at the turn of the century and have lived there ever since. Not to mention its so beautiful there. Just out of curiosity, does the internet and phone service work there? When I was there mass communication was the pay phones and Western Union. I hope it was a wonderful trip, looks really fun now versus my time and I loved it back in the day.
