@@ClareSparke this was the second to last weekend of May! Salmon spawning season starts in the very beginning of June and I would highly recommend to go around that time :)
@@ClareSparke of course! Weather typically is about 65 degrees Fahrenheit, will fluctuate slightly but if you wear a warm sweater and bring jackets you should be good. Make sure things are waterproof because it gets very wet there!
Nice video, thanks! We are heading on this trip in early August. It will be our first cruise. I’m an experienced amateur photographer and have quite a bit of gear. I was wondering what lenses (focal lengths) you would suggest to bring. My interests are primarily landscape and wildlife. Thanks for any info you can provide.
@@cameraman763 You are definitely going to be needing a zoom lens if you're going to be shooting wildlife. Some activities on the boat include wildlife viewings so you will need a lens that can get you as close to shore as possible. Something like the Sigma 150-600 mm would be fantastic for it. I personally do not shoot wildlife, only landscape and portraits and I found that my 24-105mm worked perfectly for what I wanted. I hope that helps!
