    Thank you Mr. Swen. I like the Kelvin Knot over the Four in Hand Knot as the Kelvin Knot tends to stay in place. Also, recently, I was wearing a stand alone vest but my tie was sticking out at the bottom using the Kelvin knot. To solve that issue, I looped the long end of the tie three times (instead of twice) which shortened the overall tie length and the knot still looking amazing 👌

    So the Kelvin and Victoria are essentially the same with the double loop but this one starts with the sown side up?

    May i ask why you make the "dimple" on every tie? Is it a rule, or just because you like it? I think without it all the knots look more elegant. Can you please explain? Thank you!

    Does the quality of the tie make a difference in regards to the knot's appearance? Half Windsor knots look huge on two of my ties and I would like to wear more than just one or two knot styles.

      Man,in other videos he explained that have ties that a big knot,as the full windsor,are more addequate,slimmer ties,and for a half a medium tie are more addequate. Check his Channel.

    What is that flap with the button, at the top of your trouser?

    • @gentlemansgazette
      @gentlemansgazette  9 років тому +1

      Aldroid151 It's a flapped pocket. As you can see, this pair of trousers lacks a waistband, but even if it had one, these kind of change pockets are not unusual with bespoke garments.

    So, what's the difference between the Kelvin and the Victoria knot?

    • @gentlemansgazette
      @gentlemansgazette  8 років тому +6

      It's a different knot. One has half a rotation more because one starts with the inside up and one with the inside down. Watch the video again and focus on the way the tie looks before it is tied. It makes a difference what side is up or down.
