  • This is my first time riding a BMW S1000RR stage 2 tuned bike. I've ridden all S1000RRs, so to feel the BT-MOTO tuned beast, I could see what the true potential of these bikes is!

Amazing torque with the shift cam motor, feels like a very strong 1100cc engine 😎

Awesome bike, but it will grow old very quickly. It is simply too perfect while it is really built for the tracks, where you can do your thing while the bike takes care of itself. Like say.... parking itself and call for a ride home when you decided to fall off. 😅

🤣 I have a video coming out with a comparison of my v4r and this and I'm far happier after riding the v4r than the s1000rr

Interesting that the up quickshifter doesn’t operate when you are off throttle. Better use the clutch! 🇬🇧

Really just a smidge of throttle it'll work. But I thought it was interesting if I still revved up to where it would be ok to shift and then let off the throttle it wouldn't let you shift. Just a quirk 😄

How can you tell anything about the tune short shifting and barely hitting 8k rpm?

    • @CaliMotoTV
      @CaliMotoTV  28 днів тому

Because in stock form below that was sluggish, the torque I can still feel the difference in the lower revs because it wasn't really there when it's stock.

Lol BT moto is a joke. All they do is unlock what is locked behind euro 5 emission. Go look else where if you want a tune instead of an off the shelf map to just restore to default. Their support actively lies and tries to deceive customers who actually have knowledge in how tuning works and ask real questions.

@HangOnHangOff do you have first hand proof of this?

@@CaliMotoTV Yep. I got my Daytona "tuned" by them, had 0 noticeable difference after the tune. This is not just my feeling, but from datalogger I run on track.
      They first:
Claim Shell 93 V power will be a solution (lmao, tried it, and of course nothing, 93 is knock rating, not power rating.)
      Then claim:
I didn't load the map (which, base on their instruction video, I verified I did).
Then send me an updated map after I asked them to see what they can do. (The updated map did not change any tuning, but turned all my throttle input up by 30%. Talking about "ridebility")
After I did everything they asked, went to Road Atlanta last weekend, got on the back straight, and realized they didn't even remove the top speed limiter they claim they removed.
So yes, I have spent money, time, effort, and patience with the company, and they end up stone walling me when I ask for full refund because they falsely advertise their product
Their product might trick a street warrior by turning up throttle input %, but for anyone who actually push their bike to the limit, they are just trash.

@@CaliMotoTV Also, as a reference. I have my RSV4 tuned by Shiv at OpenFlash and My 890R running Rotterwiller mapping currently, and other tuning done on my previous bikes. So I have a sense of idea on what tuning should be able to provide. They said my expectation were "unrealistic" but if getting the exact same power output after the tune is the realistic outcome for a BT-Moto tune, then they may be right on the fact they are useless.

@HangOnHangOff thank you, it wasn't accusatory, many many people will say stuff based off a friend of a friend's friend. So I can see your point! Now I'm not advocating (or sponsored by) them, I do know when I do my bike build it'll be a full custom 1 off tune by a race shop.

@@CaliMotoTV They only good feedback from BMW owners because BMW has a detune due to US regulation. They basically just throw on the most basic AFR target mapping and bring the bike back to "stock". So yea, might worth it for BMW owners, but for other bike owners, stay the hell away.
