Nice tip with the balsa and Autosol, I’ll have to give it a go.
No problem mate. Like more things in the world I probably learned it from someone else.

@@TobyFireandSteel ok thanks man. Love your channel. Guess next question how much for a small fix blade.
Thanks brother I really appreciate that. What sort of blade are you wanting man? Kitchen knife, hunter etc?
@@TobyFireandSteel hunter. Something thin that I can skin a deer in the woods and also use it to slice meat.
What about a puko or something bro
Bunnings jumper. Now for the sausage sizzle. Some good tips you make there. Thanks mate.
Lol snags are a great idea
I'll get the Sausage Man over
Toby, Fire and Steel nom nom nom mmmmm snags 🤤
😂😂
Finally a guy who sharpens safely. Some of the videos I've seen are pretty scary. I've been using a cheap 1x30 that's probably going way too fast. Do you think I should quench my blade after every pass?
Good tutorial, thanks for posting
Heya bud thanks heaps. I dont think that its required for you to quench each time. But that said I dont put heaps of weight on the blade. Im nice and light about it. It does depend on your speed aswell mate I tend to sharpen about 40hz but have done faster.
Thanks
To easy 👍
Hi. Enjoyed your video. I need to get a sharpener for my personal use. Would you suggest a Belt sander or the wen type with two wheels. If a belt , then 2x72 is overkill for me. What else would be able to do the job. Thanks
For personal use mate if just learn to use stones. And get some nice quantity ones. Check out Outdoor555 channel.
If you want to spend more like 2x72 money on a sharpener and it's only for sharpening I would buy a Tormek T4 or T8 any day, I love mine if do make sure to get the sg and SJ wheel
What grinder is that? Do you know if a fucina forge 1x30 is good?
Hi mate its 84 engineering grinder. Best on the market in my opinion. No sorry bud I've never used a 1x30 👍thanks for watching
Thanks for the info…US
No problem brother
So how long would it take me to sharpen 66 knives?
Mate that would obviously depend completely on you. Good luck
Pleased to meet you.I will be watching..
Cheers bud
I’m looking to trade a Benchmade Infidel OTF. For a small fix blade. Are you interested?
Sorry man they are illegal where I live 😔
@@TobyFireandSteel I will email you a pic of what I’m thinking
@@holdmybeer9193 awesome mate. Perfect 👌
Dude, does that sharpener have a name and model number?
Its not a sharpener bud its a 84 engineering 72" bench grinder. ua-cam.com/video/QQpBuFkxU84/v-deo.html sold from Gameco
@@TobyFireandSteel Ha! Yeah, got it bro! Thanks for the reply!
No problem BM ps your secret is safe with me 😉🤫🤣
You don't have enough tools if we can see your floor!
Hahahaha probably true
