- What a crazy winter so far. We just received a massive 12 feet in the last 8 days, bringing our season total to over 42 feet of snow! We had a couple day break but we are right back into it this weekend with a forecasted 3-4 feet on the way. Stay tuned for more. Hope you enjoy the longer video!

There’s something so peaceful about the snow, the utilitarian nature of the plow, the one man against nature, put in the hours helping out the community. It’s all very satisfying. Thank you for posting.
Couldn't agree more! Thanks for watching!
The standing wave of snow in front of the bucket is amazing!
Awesome driver but a bigger blade even better , Great job guys !!!
Growing up in central NY and living in the NE and MW regions, I’ve always enjoyed plowing/blowing snow… even if I lacked the enclosed cab feature for my garden tractor, I’d still be out there, bundled up like “Nanick of the North”, plowing my driveway and sidewalks, along w/ that of my neighbors…. Always enjoy the ambiance of plowing later in the evening - scent of fireplaces burning logs, the dark and starry sky, the cold making your nose runny and your eyes tearing up, the deafening quiet and stillness of the night, w/ the only noise being the sound of your tractor, blade and it’s tire chains on the packed snow surface…almost a magical time
You paint a really nice picture 😎👍
Even though I don't live up that high, I sure do appreciate what you do for your community. Without people like you, winter life up there would be even more difficult or impossible.
Chain up that electric wheel chair for sure.
I'm pretty sure he gets paid pretty dang good for plowing
@@slobberpuss8261 capatalist attitude.
Your compassion iz nonexistant.
@@theashpilez Capitalism, it's what makes the world go round
938 g is one of the best size/ era loaders I’ve ever run
Some of the most intense snow plowing I’ve ever seen. Back dragging, snow drifts, stacking, be safe out there sir. This is where the big boys play.
you must be from california
Lol back dragging snow drifts! It’s done every where it snows!
Thank you very much! Much more fun than plowing parking lots
⁶96
Lololol wtf
I hope your neighbors appreciate the service you provide and contribute to the maintenance and repair of that beast
Much appreciation for the hard work you guys do keeping the local areas open and safe. And CalTrans also who keep the main hwys safe 50 and 80. Snow plowers dont get enough credit.👍
In Washington state they fired all the good plow drivers during covid for not wanting to take the “mandated” jab. It ruined access to multiple passes out here for months because the experienced drivers were fired. It was so disgusting that they did that to people that were so important to those areas.
@@Ggzerbe4typical..whatever makes sense just go against it.too bad
This is great, finding awesome videos from last year which just blows this winter away so far. This is a dream job of mine man. Heaven on earth
Awesome we need 10 more feet of snow up there. California needs the water. The lakes are gonna be so full It’s gonna be awesome. Praise the Lord need more rain and snow.
As one who has a son in the Homewood area, a big THANK YOU for helping keep those folks connected.
Well done!! Great work, I hope those Residents remember you and are grateful!
Skied in Tahoe several times. Opened the door to a wall of powder. It may well have been your dad who cleared our road enabling us to get to the resorts. We stayed between the Bridgetender and Homewood. If it was him, God bless him. I love Tahoe but it’s a rich man’s game now. Best wishes from the UK.
your neighborhood is blessed to have someone with your community ethic and equipment in times like this
That's awesome! I'm 44 and live in the north eastern United States (New England) been plowing my whole life, I love it! But for years we haven't had snow like what you got. I'm jealous! Btw you do a great job! You know what you're doing, 110%! Keep it up kid. From one plow guy to another👍
It's cool how the snow acts like liquid water when it's being plowed. It's mesmerizing lol.
You should see it when being moved fast by a snow groomer
Growing up in Minnesota, I learned the concept of space management. Basically, it means, where do you put the snow. When looking at new homes I always have that in the back of my head and decided against some houses because there was no place to put the snow.
Parts of me would love to take over for these guys to give them a break. Alas, I live in CO and we have our own share of snow. Thankfully, I have a beast of a snowblower. Even with the wet heavy snow we got Mid March, it was still able to throw it far enough. When the snow is light and fluffy, it can throw it about 30 feet!!
I love blowing snow, I love being out in the winter helping others out.
My neighbors like it when I am out as I do as much as I can of their driveways.
I'm watching all of your videos. Not living where you are, we only see a few brief clips on the network news. Your videos give a very real perspective of what you folks are dealing with. Looking forward to seeing more of your posts. They're all well done -- from inside the cab, from the street, with the plow, with the blower, daytime, nighttime.
Thank you very much! More videos on the way
The amount of snow in Tahoe and the Sierra in general is insane this year. Must be a hell of a year for you.
I was with the California Conservation Corps at their Tahoe Center when this was happening and man it sure was crazy. The amount of calls we got just to help shovel out the roofs of local high schools and elementaries is something i'll never forget. We were out there for about 10hrs a day just shoveling and sometimes it'd rain so we'd all be freezing cold by the end of the day! When it was all done though, it was super rewarding to hear from those people we helped all those cold months :) hopefully the snow doesnt get as bad as it was this yr.
Yep, that’s a lot of snow. Nice work utilizing the machine in an efficient manner. I salute you for looking after the community. I live in a part of New York that usually is pummeled by snow but this year the most we’ve seen at once is four inches and it was melted by noon the following day. Stay safe
Best loader ever made is that 938G, shuttle shift no electric shift crap. We have 2 of em and I love em.
I agree!!
I’m jealous. I love clearing snow. It we get next to nothing out here in Missouri. Would love to clear out there, looks amazing!
Mesmerizing! The chains on the tires makes that thing a beast. Thanks for sharing.
Living in Northern Michigan this is absolutely terrifying, That’s an insane amount of snow. Thank you for helping out the people! Good work.
in iowa, the operators go out of their way to trap our driveways with a packed icemix near the road, usually 3 feet deep and 10 feet onto the driveway.
Thanks for all that you do!!!
It’s so cool to watch someone who knows how to do his job. Spent many years here in Jersey doing the same thing!!!
Enjoy the time working with your dad he did a fine job keeping all that work smart man thanks
Thank you! I really do enjoy working with my dad. Before I started working with him, he was plowing this neighborhood all by himself for 38 years!! Crazy
I could watch this all day
Thanks SO much!!! 🙏🏼❄️🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
relaxing and mesmerizing. The night vid and snowfall adds something to it. subbed.
Awesome, thank you!
I think this is my favorite UA-cam video! The right operator on the right equipment doing a fantastic job! True, the night snow fall with quality camera footage!! Well done!!
That biggest amount of snow I have seen. What a machine and service !
Griff you are absolutely killing it. Very impressive!
you have a good heart and mind., god bless you always for helping other people, doing on their driveway and the road we salute you sir amazing
Thank you!!
So badass, I can’t wait for this snow season working at the resort, can’t do it without you
With that amount of driveways and a shitload of snow to deal with, I am impressed that you are able to feel positive about it. I am happy to live in a neighbourhood where more than 5-6 inch of snow is a rarity in one day. And we also have a fleet of new JCB loaders to push it around for us on those days, so I guess we are pampered. Nice to see what your day is like. Feel free to comment a little more. It makes it more interesting. Good luck.
With that wave of snow in front of the blade it looks like it speaks volumes about the composition of the snow there!
I enjoy the footage. looks like an enjoyable job.
So much smoother and quieter in snow than typical dirt/rock work. (nixing the backup buzzer a major improvement that everyone appreciates, especially at 3am, they have rear cam on the screen anyway) Modern Cat loaders very pleasing to run.
Please post a video just like this that goes on for 10 plus hours with no talking. Scrape videos together, whatever, but I guarantee you guys can have one of the best sleep videos if you just put a long video together with no talking, just working, sounds of machine etc. PLEASE DO THIS SO I CAN GO TO SLEEP!!!!
Fascinated by watching your strategy
As a snowmobilier this is my dream. Haven’t seen snow like that in 20yrs in upstate ny. Maybe 1-2 winters were close.
Dr. Griff, a gifted plastic surgeon with a REALLY BIG scalpel. 💪
Rock on Doc.😉
Haha thank you!!
Wow thats taking care of your neighborhood i can appreciate that alot thumbs up keep up the good work im sure they appreciate you and dad
I think I’ll speak for everyone in Tahoe and all my co workers at Liberty….. thank you!
My snow blower for my house broke one year in the middle of a week of bad storms. And I am not that mechanically inclined, so it scared the poops out of me that I wasn't able to get out. A neighbor helped me fix it. But when you have big machines like yours, what happens if a hydraulic line goes out...or anything else. Thanx for posting though...it is kind of mesmerizing to watch
Bigger is just much heavier, hoses become very stiff and can be difficult but usually doable with determination and a little bush ingenuity and decent tool kit.
We keep some spare hydraulic lines and parts and typically Cashman equipment (dealer) takes care of us in emergencies. Would be nice to have a backup machine though! Thanks for watching!
The heat index is 108F outside my window so I searched for snow plowing videos. Thanks much for the post!
Wish I could give you 10 x likes. You’re goodness shines forth. Keep up the noble work, young man.
Thank you 🙏🏻
WOW insane video thanks! Had no idea that so many cottages could be so close to each other in such dense snowy terrain.
Hey Family in North Shore Bro n law worked out of North Shore Cal Trans yard. Was there in 80s with snow was over 20' in Soda Springs/Donner. The snow tunnels were awesome.
I wasn't around in the 80's but from what I've heard, things look similar to how the did in the 82/83 winter!
This dude is out there clearing driveways, my plow man is leaving 4 foot berms. Hats off to you sir.
OMG dude! So much snow! Awesome video! We got snow at the beach in that last big storm, lol. It's definitely been a crazy winter here in Cali! Thanks for the longer video, keep em coming bro!
I wish I could find a place to live where it was like this most of the time of the year. That's a playground for me. I absolutely love plowing snow. I've done guy for many, many years before I retired. I'm 50 years old but I can still plow snow all day long and do it. I miss it. I'll find that job someday soon.
11:34 haha it behaves like water on the ocean, so cool. Never seen that before, thanks for sharing!
OMG dude i never seen this lifestyle in my life or even people living in snow like that what a awsome person you must be to help out like that...
Thank you very much for the upload really really great content.
Thank you!
We were here for this for a skiing trip. These guys are awesome.
I liked seeing the snow from inside especially during a storm. It was the cold and aftermath of dealing with it that I couldn't take.
That's partly what brought us far enough south to a place which averages 3" of snow per year. Much better now.
I just hope it warms up slow for you guys so flooding isn't too bad
I love plowing for my city ❤️ best thing I've ever done.
I wonder how well those Cats will work once Cali requires them to be battery powered..🤔
Holy SnowFlakes!
That's A LOT of snow at once! Also, props for plowing people's driveways.
The spring flooding is going to be insane.
Should be pretty good but depends on the weather. Nothing we haven't seen before.
ASMR
Love to watch these snowplow videos, please make them longer.🙏🙏 Great work you do.💙💙
Thank you! Longer videos in the works
Now That's a good size machine with lots of power. Enjoy.
This I why I love living at a ski resort and plowing snow!!! Keeep er pushin
This looks like so much fun
Such an awesome winter..patiently waiting for some big storms!!!!! LFG
I always end up watching stuff like this late at night
Scoop
You voluntarily live in the environment you should expect to have an impact on your life!
Amazing to see the efforts to keep people moving and safe!
I sure hope they appreciate it but given our current situation expect that people just complain!
Was up there last year un the warm months and the piles of snow were still crazy
Here in the UK last week half the country went into chaos because for a couple of days we had 2-4inches of snow. They should play your video on the UK national news titled ‘this is snow’
Gotta love the sound of a big beefy cat.
Yes it was long but I couldn’t stop watching. I live in Missouri now but come from Tahoe. Thank you for the vid.
Glad you enjoyed it!
That thing is a hoss. Never seen snow like that in my life. Crazy to see how deep the snow gets up there.
wow, i think i never seen so much snow!!! amazing!!! you are fun to watch and doin a fantastic job. Greetings from Sweden.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you 🙏🏻
I live in Canada in this is the most snow me and my family or friends have ever seen in our lives, by far!
you must all be under 40
It has been a crazy winter! Thanks for watching!
I wish you were my neighbor!!! Bless you
Around the 7:50 mark. Damn that seems like an insane amount of snow on the roof. Really blown away by the whole thing. 🤯
That’s insane seeing that sea of snow basically flowing in front of your blade
Awesome job looks like alot of fun
i wish Townsend Wisconsin got this much snow T-T
I'm sure Lake Tahoe is a beautiful place to live, but I couldn't stand all that snow. And I'm Canadian!
Running out of places to put that snow!! Looks like so much fun!!
This is kind of hypnotic after watching a while…lol
You did an awesome job! Extreme circumstances and you prevailed!
Thank you very much!
Why is this so mesmerizing?!?
The amount of snow that CAT is pushing is insane,,many tons of snow..
These images and others I have seen are INSANE". Never saw that much snow and I am from Montreal Canada.
If they'll let ya, or at least look the other way, get the most expensive and longest lightbar from KC, I did that for my truck for fun. Literally would light an entire city block. Thing was so bright i sold it to coworker who mounted it on the back topside of sleeper cab to light the entire area for loading those massive windmill wings, the crane operators loved it he said.
It amazing how the snow flows in front of the blade.
Man I envy your job. I am about to retire from being a police officer after 25 years and would love to do this.
First time watching this channel.. I am amazed by how much snow there is! That just blows me away.. how many times a day do you do this route? What a beautiful area too!
We will do the route up to 4 times a day if it is snowing hard. Lots of work this winter! Thank you for watching!
I've lived in Florida my whole life and only visted places where it snows a couple times. This is really cool to see. Definitely looks like youve done this before 👍😎
You are good at your work !
Thank you very much!
Impressed with vid quality under circumstances.
NO damned back up beeper a hell of an improvement. Did you cut the wires? :D
I can tell which neighbors you don't like, they get a big berm. 👌
Modern Cat loaders have a very pleasing way about them, I run them just enough to work on 'em, not an operator, but I've seen major improvements over the decades.
We really like the 938G, maybe time to get in a new loader and see what they can do! Thanks for watching!!
Hard to beat a G or H model. Nice pretty cabs in the newer stuff, but for the importance of the work you are doing, simple and reliable is best.

Thats crazy Snow , awesome vid
I love plowing snow. I use a Cat 930M and a Cat 950M. Personally I like the 930 but the 950 can handle a lot more in the big pushes and can stack higher when needed. Thanks for sharing this vid tho. Give me something to look forward to on the snow days.
Big Gator or small lawn tractor, just something oddly satisfying about pushing snow. I live in Canada , so I can relate
That's alotta snow! Awesome.
That really is an amazing amount of snow….and I lived up there in the winter of ‘82…I know what it’s like….great vid!
Thats awesome! That is the year my dad moved up to Tahoe. Hopefully we can avoid the avalanche that happened in Alpine Meadows in 82 though!
I skied the day before that avalanche. They closed early to blast. Remember that year. Our power went out for 3 weeks. Or maybe that was the next year. Both were big. Always loved when a loader would take putty on us and swipe the driveway, haha. Nice video
Great operator, awesome job!!
