NODS only reduce the FOV when in use (on night maps). So if you run them on daytime maps they won't have any effect and will be folded upwards
23:36 Your honesty is very much appreciated, although I think it could also be very valuable seeing you retry levels that don't work out the first time until you're able to snag that perfect run, just to see how you might approach the situation differently to prevent making the same mistakes. I don't know how it might affect the algorithm, but if you wouldn't mind replaying it, I wouldn't mind rewatching it :P

Seeing the inside of the buildings before entering ruins the immersion. They should add fog of war to black out the insides of building so you can't see the rooms and expect what is coming.
There's a mod for it. I've featured it several times on the channel. It's awesome, just ugly lol
Running out of dudes for the problem. This is why any mission with five or less guys makes me very nervous. Puts it down to bad choice or worse choice.

DK2 is definitely a good way to demonstrate CQB tactics, and your gameplays are really entertaining as they're both methodical, influenced by experience, and deftly explained for the understanding of viewers--- those that are familiar with CQB theory and military tactics or not.

just found this channel. ended up binging till 3am trying to understand real world mechanics better and maybe be able to explain to my friends how i want them to play. love learning about cqb both irl and in games i play so i can get that feeling from realistically and cleanly clearing a building in a game. super satisfying. noticed the second channel in your bio and was excited to see some real life content as well but was disappointed to only see a few vids :/ would love to see more content on that channel and will b subscribing to both in the hopes the other channel gets a little more content. (also lotta hate for what lol must be the"fUtUre UniTeD StaTeS mAriNeS" kind of people)

Just a note on the Mk48. The Mk48 is the FN Maximi (a minimi in 7.62x51), so a derivative of the SAW platform, not the 240. The lightened 240 you are referring to is the M240L, to the best of my knowledge,

When there is a red circular f that means the enemy hasn't seen you hence you aren't compromised, click the circular red f to take the shot on unaware enemys.
I absolutely love seeing maps made by members of the community, especially ones that 100% look like they were made by the dev team (like this one). Always motivates me to get back into making maps, especially if I've been slacking.
And lately, I've been slacking hard.

I was in England and they tought us how to fight russians, and we were storming these tiny houses day after day and when we returned back our superiors just threw us in the trenches near Bakhmut. Gonna be honest. I see these initial intel breakdowns and the gamer in me wishes you could just send in Batman or Ezio Auditore to ninja the thing, LOL.
It'd be cool to see you try a 2 man run. Once your guys where down and you became limited you had to really think but using that handicap could give you an advantage as you can always keep the 2nd 2 in a stand off out the way just incase shit hits the fan

I think one thing the game misses a bit of is the fact that this pattern of movement and pies extends outwards infinitely and you always have to account for some idiot half a mile away with an angle on you, or some guy wandering in from somewhere else and ending up where you're at. The sloppiness here demonstrated using the other two guys more on faith, having to accept weird angles behind and take positions on likelihood of enemy direction rather than surety
the double night vision goggles actually dont reduce field of vieuw, the single ones do.
they do but only slightly. if they add quad nods someday i imagine those wont affect FOV at all

I play the first door kickers and I was trying to do a bomb defuse and it’s on a boat and you have to find it I got to the second level of the yacht and most of my men are badly damaged I failed to do it and now idk what to do but yeah

This was a pretty authentic run of how I would do it. The only difference was the wall shot. But I've used internal wall shots for a long time and always laughed about it in DK2. If I were just "playing door Kickers" I'd be putting a mirror under every door.

you are talking about L shape, but you are collapsing in with you LMG security and lose a guy to enemy fire, but it makes a good blue on blue situation also.
and then you say, don't do single man clearing... totally agree, but even more important, don't enter a room without prepping it with a nade. single man dynamic entry, that's a death sentence 😉
and lastly, you said it yourself, you were running out of dudes in front... well rotate the whole squad, and after you have "cleared" the important part, "re-cleare" it.

Why they don't release the official version? because they don't care and they are benefiting from it in it's current version. Selling an incomplete product as a complete one is fraud. stop promoting dishonest developers
What? The game is already phenomenal. They are still working on 1.0. there is nothing fake about purchasing a game for a reasonable price and enjoying it for TWO YEARS.
I mean, it is incomplete
However there is alot of positive feedback because the game is actually good
If the developers were dishonest or scummy they would abandon the game and take the money running away, however here they promise and deliver (yes we didn't get any news on Delta Force being added in November, but at any point we will get them)
