I bought it because of your video last week and it's really solid so far.
Don't worry buddy, I remember when I was a noob too. You will get there one day, just keep trying.
You should use the Project Ares mod for a much more realistic ranger setup. You can also modify the supply cost in the units.xml of the mod to change supply cost from 100 to 25, letting you use 4x as many units as long as there are deployment spaces on the map.

Grab the camo selector and camo selector patch for extra larping options as well Karma if you want that sweet uniform larpness

Couple tips I'd add to what's already in comments.
A) The dynamic hammer and the cutting torch are your friends, the cutting torch will only alert within a couple meters and the hammer is still considerably quieter than crowbar, and even if it does alert, it doesn't really give enemies time to turn around and aim at the breach, it is a single blow.
B) Shotguns are a pretty effective way to put down enemies wearing body armour regardless of the skill of the user and will one shot most enemies in general. They can also be equipped by any class which means they are a great training tool as they allow you to use your marksmen and supports on a lot more missions.
C) You can use slap charges to blow down windows with curtains, especially useful on night maps because standing some distance from the window means you have guaranteed first shot on anyone inside. You can also use the breaching charge on that outer compound wall, which would have allowed you to come on behind the 2nd house and blow the fuses without going inside first.
D) On night maps holding fire is a good idea a lot of the time, you can set up individual targets and drop them all at once from ambush. Like that fortified position in the garage of the second house for example. If you mouse over the enemy it will show how far they can reliably detect you. And as an added bonus it looks sick as fuck on replay.
When I played this mission, the HVT would not stop running from us for absolutely nothing. I placed rangers in front of his escape routes, and he still ran right past them, even as they smacked him with their rifles as he ran by. We had to chase him around the entire map, and we ended up smacking him a total of 82 times before he finally surrendered. Christ.

Definitely downloading this game. Your CQB knowledge is so interesting and makes me want to learn more on my own! Should’ve accepted your mistake with not breaching middle wall between compounds sooner, left 1/2 to 3/4 of the squad on north wall aproaching the gate and had a breach and clear next to the fortified position, or just fully pulled back; if the map was larger you’d be extremely exposed to that street where reinforcements were approaching). Sick video though, can’t wait for more.
Also I think the fact that one mistake can have such an impact on the rest of the clear is some impressive game mechanics, can’t wait to see what mods you start using as well!

On the topic of micro control, I'm going to make a very special recommendation to you.
On the Steam workshop, there's a map called "OP 3EE - 5: Out is Through" by DrMadHatten.
It's part of a mission series but ignore that for now. It will see you using every single Ranger on a very very diversely built map.
It has an extremely long and wide tunnel, almost 100m from mouth to mouth and about 15m across, as well as a tight winding maze of corridors on either side of the tunnel, built into the walls. It'll see you destroying 4 mission objectives, managing micros in the maze on both sides simultaneously, and extracting at the furthest end of the tunnel.
There's also QRF. This map beat much of my mistakes out of me. Maybe it'll help you the same way. Was an absolute slog, but i don't think I have played nor seen a more incredible map. Give it at least a glance over even if you don't feel like doing it.
Edit: It's technically made for 3-4 player Co-Op, but it's still soloable.
There's actually a small text edit tweak you can make so that bodies don't disappear immediately. It's a small thing, but a nice little detail to play with bodies that don't magically apparate into thin air.

i just picked up this game 2 days ago. Already accumulated 25.6 hours. Definitely the perfect tactical planner game my brain was craving the challenge from. Fire vid Karmakut, learning a lot from these raid videos.

Bought this game because of last video. Absolutely fantastic game, loving it. This game scaled up with like city/village maps with vehicles both land and air plus naval would be the most perfect game.
Some of the big mod overhauls have airstrikes and artillery.

Love this game. I remember when I first got this an knew nothing about CQB. My guys died all the time lmao. Watching you actually explain what you are doing is actually an amazing way to teach CQB essentials. Understanding that the object of the op is not just killing the bad guys but minimizing risk to your team is essential and I wouldnt have really gotten how to do that without watching you. Keep up the good work!
Additionally, does anyone know how to actually get the pie icon when you pie a room? I just control-right click to strafe but I dont get the actual pie symbol

Haha me too. So many deaths... I started with the original door kickers and this is making me want to jump back in. I have a bit of a reluctance buying early access games. I like to wait for the complete release, but this one looks pretty polished.

I like seeing how other people play the missions it makes it gives me a chance to see how other people think. Ps that's the first time I heard someone call a JLTV a MRAV
One thing we tried to do with Door Kickers was to get people around the map shooting ideas and plans and trying to see what works and what doesn't. That works in coop multiplayer but also with live streaming and discussing youtube videos.

I adore this game. I’ve gotten 400 hours of enjoyment from the main campaign and custom maps on steam. This community is amazing. I’m sure the game will be even better if I ever get the knowledge on how to use nexus mods

The layout of the buildings is information that you would have when planning a raid though.
You were so careful up until 34:00 but then gave those 2 guys way to much work clearing an entire half compound by themselves with no additional cover/support.
And leave the hvt alone I mean he would bolt as soon as see no one around

Ok this probably isnt the place that is best to suggest this, but to go with fog of war, should get a random amount of info at beginning, like varying levels of detail floor plans, strength of enemy force, is the a quick response force nearby, how soon til they respond, probably lots more problems that you may or may not have info on.
This is probably my favorite map in the entire game. Currently trying to get 3 stars with the CIA but the Eastern house is giving me trouble.

You seemed a bit rushed in this one compared to the last. Had a few flubs and just pushing things a bit faster than I thought they needed to be and not confirming the direction your men were facing. But that can happen with big maps and/or long play sessions. I learn a lot from your videos. Thanks for the videos.

What does it mean when you say you're going to have someone "plate" something? does it just mean kind of create a human shield to protect the rest of the teams backs?
That’s exactly what it means. Body armor is typically made up of sapi plates with a plate carrier, hence the term “plate”. This just allows your buddy to pass by without getting hit from the side.

Do you have training in real life cqb situations? Cause you seem to know all the lingo and everything. If so, then do you think it gives you an edge up in this game? Also, if a person *doesn't* have training in it, then will that make this game really difficult? Or will basic video game experience be enough to get good at this game? In other words - how hardcore is this game? Lol
I think this game looks sweet though. Seems super fun to play. I wish there was a perma death system where you recruited different operates that could die on you and not be used again. Also, where it would also keep track of their stats and stuff as you progress through the game. Like kills, accuracy, times hit, times saved a teammate etc etc. I don't know anything about the game outside of actual gameplay you've shown here and one other video I've watched of yours yesterday. So I don't know if they have that stuff already, but it would be cool if they did.

@@546x Theres a mod you can download that is something like "Only small apartments" or something along them lines which when you then use the random map generator it only gives you small indoor themed maps
Why not simo breach this map tho? I think it is made to be simo'd on 2 buildings. 2 squad of 4 + 2 troopers as isolation. Tbh i've never even thought of doing building one-by-one while playing it.
Also, i might be wrong but it feels like an hour for a single level Doorkickers 2 vid is too much. But ima like anyway.
