One of the things I loved about WoW more than anything: Just hanging out aboard the skybreaker with my mates, and just *chilling* and talking about random shit.
By far one of the BEST musics in WoW period.... when I first entered Ice Crown I was so blown away by this music and the dark atmosphere!! Still go back here every now and then for the music and nostalgic feeling of the great times here back in 08-10
I was blasting this trough my box in my room and my dad entered the room and just sat there. Listening. I started in BFA so i'll never know the feeling of how nostalgic it feels.
Few things: First of all, even though technically this video is in 4K, you’re still looking at 1080p footage. I’m testing a few things, mostly the compression rate of UA-cam’s encoder for higher resolutions, so you can safely ignore the whole thing. 1080p version will look exactly the same as any of my previous videos (I think?). Now to the video itself. Friendly reminder that even though I always try to stay as close to the game as I can possibly can with the choice of music tracks, sometimes I have to make _some_ changes. Icecrown has audio tracks from Azjol-Nerub, from Borean Tundra (those are general “Scourge” themes), and Eastern Plaguelands, and Howling Fjord, etc. Decided to exclude all of them. Azjol-Nerub will have a separate video and Borean Tundra is already boring enough in terms of music to steal tracks from it. Icecrown Citadel however (the raid) is super rich on the music side. It has over 40 minutes of dedicated ambience tracks in addition to boss themes and a few overall compositions. So in order to even things out I combined Icecrown with the music from the ICC dungeons and now this video has some variety to it and I won’t need to cut ICC tracklist too much. Oh, and not including “Bronze Jam” piece would have been a crime against humanity. Executive decisions ya’ll. Also, here’s how work in progress looks in case you were curious: i.imgur.com/5n49cIu.jpg
Thank you! I've heard both good and bad things about Sony Vegas but from what I understand it's very similar in a lot of ways to Premiere Pro. Never worked in Vegas though so can't say for sure. Final Cut Pro is fabulous but again, it's very close to what Vegas and Premiere can and cannot do. I'd say it comes down to the ecosystem. I can't work without After Effects and the synergy between AE and Premiere is obviously phenomenal, so I'm sitting in the Adobe corner for now. In the end of the day you just need a tool you most comfortable with. There are million subscribers channels out there with videos made either in Moviemaker or shot and edited entirely on an iPhone.
That's honestly super nice to hear. The fact that I can, even in a small way, help others with inspiration or just chilling out. P.S.: I've never watched any of my videos all the way through too, that's alright. :) Actually, I don't watch or listen to my videos at all, I just like knowing they are exist.
Uploading at the moment but I was going to release it a bit later. I usually publish no-music versions right before the next with-music one is about to be available. I'm very inconsistent with my uploads and can sometimes leave the channel for weeks without new videos, and I don't want "last uploaded video" to be the niche version.
Everness never stop doing what you do. I listen daily to you videos. Its calming and just plain awesome. I wish I could put into words better how much I appreciate your work!!!!!
Thank you so much for these, they do wonders for my coursework. The exactness of their length is just perfect, helps me keep tabs on breaks and stuff as well, you're a legend
Best wow expansion of all time, golden days of wow and all of mmorpg genre. All mmorpgs should look up to icecrown and remember how great and intimidating it was.
I came to your channel for the nostalgia as many others. I got so many hours played when i was teenager. Now i have third baby and from time to time i think about playing wow for one last time. Glad i didn't sell my toons.
Your work here brings back a very special childhood memory. The first movie i saw in a theater as a child, was Ridley Scott's "Alien". My father liked the music so much he bought the soundtrack vinyl record, and would play it at home. Every time i heard it i would get freaked out all over again! Hearing this atmospheric stuff lets me travel again to those places my body would never allow me to. Nor would i want it to! :)
You are a genius. This channel, your work and what you do is vital to my very existence. this channel is like my bread and butter, I am indebted to u and your life's work should earn you a nobel prize. The composers who created it are amazing, but you have brought together their compositions onto ur channel, and i tyvm for this. When i listen to these ambiances, the nostalgia is so very powerful, I feel like i could get away with murder ;P
+I Am A Cat You're welcome! Doubling the revenue mons sounds good in theory but the idea of someone's D&D session being interrupted by an ad is horrifying.
i remember the Sunday afternoon alt raids with all the server guys, all the guilds and always the disband for a ninja loot, beautiful and great memories especially in wotlk
I dunno about you guys but I think Icecrown is the best raid for it's level design, ambience, music and bosses. Except the air battle and Dragon heal boss 'fight'.
Because it is the only raid they've ever done with a story that actually matters. Paying off years of character development the right way. *looks with sadness at Kael'Thas.*
My favourite raid along with Ulduar... just when you thought they couldn't do better after the Burning Crusade.. they released this masterpiece... great ambience. Thanks.
Everness, your channel helps myself and a few of my buddies make it through homework, thank you for your work. I noticed you haven't done a Black Temple video yet, can you please do one of those soon! That is my favorite raid! Keep the work up, it's a great channel.
Thank you! Not sure about soon, but it's definitely somewhere on the schedule. Even made a thumbnail already! Although I have thumbnails for almost all zones at this point.
@56:50 ... What the hell? I spent countless hours flying around Icecrown and NEVER heard this little jazzy bit. Where was this supposed to play? Is it like an easter egg? Is Arthas behind the major sax riffage?
I remember first entering the zone, had no idea what the whole thing was. I was pretty new to the game so had no idea what was going on. Big drums going off and omnious horns and violins in the background come on and I freak out
Amazing work ! I like the Ambience and the Background with the Music.. Keep the work up and i suggest doing Troll Music with the ambience ( Zul'Aman, STV, Echo Isles etc.. )
Zul'Aman will always have a special place in my heart for a variety of reasons, but next troll related video is most likely going to be Zul'Drak. Not too soon though, have a whole backlog of other projects at the moment. There are about 13 minutes of Zul'Farrak in Tanaris video in the meantime. Somewhere at the end.
World of Warcraft music is surprisingly experimental and every expansion has it's own audio curiosities. WotLK has Forge of Souls metal and some synth sounding tunes, namely in Borean Tundra, Nexus and Crystalsong Forest. WoD is probably my favorite in this regard. Eímear Noone's stuff was _excellent_.
Great work, as always! Have any more MoP videos in the works? Mashup of Jade Forest, Krasarang Wilds, Valley of Four Winds, and Kun-Lai Summit...any/all would be divine. Thanks again for spending the time to put these together.
Thank you! Ideally, it's gonna be Barrens, then Jade Forest, then something else. But Barrens video has some difficulties so maybe it's gonna be something else -> Barrens -> Jade Forest. I want to push Jade Forest a bit further because MAYBE, just MAYBE I will have a very interesting piece of software on my hands that may or may not be similar to the one I was using a year ago. I'm being serious this brings me almost to tears of my nostalgia for this game.
If only 40k could have an MMO like WoW...
Primarch Alpharius You are not alone
LodgerV, Damn that would be so awesome. But i think Eternal Crusade, wich is a shitgame. Is the furthest they got.
yes my russian brother !! as your Name says
I feel ya. It also brings you back to the time in your life when you were playing wotlk, that's very special.
I used to find this music so gloomy and depressing back in the day, but now it feels like home.
Indeed.
That's edgy man.
I find your videos as only substitute for playing WoW. They help me stay 'clean'.
TESO is mine.
It just needs better music tho... Just run those soundtracks in background x)
LOL, same. I come here to get my nostalgic fix so I dont have to install that horrible mess again.
This is FAXX
Lol
The rest of icecrown music: threatening, menacing, epic, scary, etc
Bronze jam: nOw iTs tImE tO gEt FuNkY

Playing on a Wrath private server, fun wow again :)
Ikr, i am playing a paladin on a wotlk server with 2 of my friends. I have twice as much abilities than retail at level 40 even tho i use only foken 4 of them to do dps, each time we do a gathering quest we have to gather 3x more than required, we have to complete every quest in each area because we have shared exp, we actually die from normal mobs, i use all my mana just by buffing my TWO party members and myself and we are chasing horde players if they are killing gorillas in stranglethorn vale. So yeah i can agree, fun wow ( not sarcastic).
Also me lvl 1 warrior

The soul of Arthas lives on in this music, long live the Lich King

Awesome as always! Thank you
One of the few zones where flying was awesome.

Or this is just Jazz for your "soul" :D
Such a great place for the highest end game level zone of an expansion. Only expansion that did it right!
24:18 so intense...the Lich King is the true Raidboss of WoW

Thank you! I put the timestamps and the track names in the description now so you can check it if you're still curious.
"Bronze Jam"... interesting. Any idea where this music is played? The image is of the Halls of Reflection dungeon.
Forge of Souls, either at the beginning or during the fight with Bronjahm. Who is an homage to James Brown by the way.
Listening to "Bronze Jam" while fighting Bronjahm... yep, makes sense. Thanks!
It is from Icecrown Citadel,
The music took a bit of a weird turn near the end there, huh? lol
