As a Nigerian from delta state. You are right. I’m currently dating a Congolese lady which I want to make my wife. She loves me when I did not have nothing and she stood by me.
Thank you for tuning in for the premier, family!!! I really enjoyed our chitchats 😂😂😂 Much love to you all and to our late comers 😜😜💙💙💙💙 Sooooo who wants a Congolese girl here? Did this help?
I was born and raised in South Africa (out of Congo) ...but everything you said was on point. Because of how we saw our father's lead their families, we automatically expect that from our future partners
I’m black American and I’m so in love with Kongolese women! They are so fine and since I traveled to Kongo once I cannot stop thinking about their beauty! ❤ 😍😍😍🥰
I agree even though I didn't grow up in Congo ,especially the chasing the guy part,I spoke to a guy first the last day of class because I had a very huge crush on him let's just say it ended horribly never again!
As a Congolese South African I one hundred percent agree with everything that you said. I even found that as I got older and more serious my mindset is exactly like this.
I was at a Congolese friend wedding anniversary and b.day yesterday in Tottenham, and It was beautiful. I saw this lady with her aunt, I guess, while parking and in the event hall, now I am not happy I did not approach her to get her number or get to know her. I will like to attend more Congolese events. I am Nigerian and I think I'll like to go Congolese.
Your sense of humour in the intro is 👌🏿. Did i forget say happy new year felly🤩, oh my how rude of me. In Namibia especially in my culture, you will most likely not be introduced to the family unless you come make your intentions clear ( intention to marry). Its is also seen as disrespect
I’m Congolese American and I was thinking this mind set was just me. Now watching this video and reading the comments , it’s definitely just in our blood to be like this 😂
I think you're largely right. There's some individual stuff that will be specific to a specific relationship. You're right about African women in general because the expectation is for the man to be the provider. It's a source of shame if, for example the wife has to support the family while the husband studies. Our Mummy Pig is the only one who can do FuFu. I struggle to learn Congolese cuisine from Fatu because I need a recipe, she can't work with one so she can't communicate that information to me. But in general although she can cook very well I'm the foodie in the house and the better cook.
Im African American and I recently started being involved with a Congolese born woman and I’m actually very excited and hopeful about it. She is so caring and loving. She’s understanding and just peaceful. I get more and more intrigued of her by the day. She seems to be serious with her intentions and tho I know it will come with learning curves and patience I really hope she can be the one!
Congratulations! "Congolese" is her citizenship, which can be misleading. There are many ethnicities here and their cultures can be totally different - from matriarchal (Bakongo) to very patriarchal (Baluba). Some ethnicities have historically encouraged their women to actively seek to have kids with foreigners (African or European), and nowadays these women end up having children from different partners out of a wedlock. BTW, her family most likely is going to ask her to pay brideprice for her, before they allow that she gets married to you. Do you know which ethnicity she is?

No 50:50 mindset, the man should do everything, so what do they contribute to the relationship, what value do they add? Again, what is it about Congolese women and bad temper, I'm yet to meet one that isn't dramatic nor get angry easily. The positive I've seen however is that they are loyal.

Here's a question would you say that that view of dating is based on younger people just starting out? Do you think there's a slightly different mindset, different expectations when the would be couple have been in relationships before, for example 2 divorcees. Your parents are probably my age. Not going to speculate on them exactly but do you think there would be any differences between your dating habits and someone of your Mothers vintage? Again. I don't mean like having a bit on the side, but straight forward dating. As in 2 divorcees or even widows/widowers in their 40's or 50's.
Super helpful! thank you for sharing this! I have a beloved lady from DR Congo and I still really don't know how to express my feelings to her... One time I've been very straightforward actually after visiting her for 3 times; "I understand what you are saying but No, I am not ready for a relationship" she said. Maybe she is thinking about my skin colour that is white(I am actually suffering to see Africans are looking different to me as a white man but I also understand the issues that white people have caused and made life very hard for Africans and the racism that is too obvious...I am so ashamed because of this and of course, I am against this foolish belief). I think I should give her some time; or kindly ANY SUGGESTIONS that you could give to my case(My apologies that I don't know your name). To let you know, she fully trusts me. I am getting to her apartment every time and she lives alone. I show my interest to French language and she really get excited! Btw we are both students in Cyprus! "Thanks for reading this" I am originally from Iran, in the middle east.
Sweet story! From what you’ve stated here, I’d suggest you just be her friend for now. Give her time and be kind, pause the relationship requests for the moment. I’m sure she’ll come around if you’re patient.
Certain Congolese don't merry foreigners. Especially middle eastern people. Sorry to say this. There is something Congolese people have against middle eastern people.
one of my friend dating congolese girl.. after some time she ruined his Life ... guy is foreigner ... this i am talking about Girls of Kinshasa.. i am not saying all are bad ..but majority are Gold Diggers ...
Just my point of view. No fight. Calling a man, irresponsible or immature because he wants to split the bills 50/50 is normal for women, but calling Congolese women lazy or gold diggers is wrong? When we say that women are objects, or private property, they came from man, it is an insult ? I understand why married men in Congo cheat on their wives. At first it's fun to please women, but over time it becomes tiring to stay with a wife, who spends her days in prayer, she trusts her pastor, friends more than her husband, but asks everything to her husband, even toiletry. When these same men look elsewhere, where they can find responsible women who don't mind sharing bills as long as it's for the common good, and love them as they are and not for what they have, it will be these same women who are going to complain that there is no more men available for them. A relationship is about love. All depends on the will, and the means available. Given the financial crisis that the world is going through these days, I am for 50/50 when it comes to the affairs of the house, if I earn more I will pay everything, if I earn less then we split the bills. But when it comes to my personal business, I'm not going to do a 50/50. I'm not going to ask my wife, girlfriend to pay 50% for me to buy a football jersey. One thing i will never steal, kill to satisfy the desire of a woman. I would rather be called irresponsible.
Nah congolewe women mostly have sma businesses on the side. And everybody knows that we are there for our men and support the family because a lot of our men are jobless
she never called a man irresponsible/immature for wanting to split 50/50. she said she likes men who are responsible and know how to lead and then after said she personally wouldnt date a man who went 50/50. rewatch the video, she never conflated the two, so this "diary entry" you left under this comment section is unneeded.
It's plausible but it would be difficult because, Congolese tradition requires that a man pays the wife's family a dowry in order to marry her. And Indians commonly do the opposite, I hear.
The ones in Namibia are different cos most of them here going after people's husband, despite they are going to church...nah most of them here are a turn off
As I remember when I first met SHE WHO MUST BE OBEYED. on a station platform, definitely smitten. I knew she was going to be going to work at a certain time so I went there to "happen to bump into her" but she arrived by car so came in the back way & I nearly froze to death under a squally hailstone shower. But 6 years later we got married so.
Listening to Congolese rumba;Luambo's ba Beaux and most of Mbilia Bel'songs like la beautè d'ula femme,Beyanga, lisanga ya ba banda et cetera I came to learn you guys hate polygamy. Why are the Congolese women so jealousy this much yet polygamist is an African culture that should be expressed by all?
Polygamy (both polygyny and polyandry) is practiced in Congo too. It’s just not popular partly due to colonialism (Roman Catholics demonised it). But it was never for everyone, some people liked it, others didn’t. I personally don’t like sharing 😂😂😭 Sooo everyone has always been free to choose what relationship suits them in Congo (based on what I saw growing up).
The Video is very General about most Women, I'm looking for specifics because Congo Women are like a different breed. The ones I've met are VERY STRANGE. First they won't HUG, they have all the Most Weird thoughts but something as simple as HUG won't happen, they all say it's Congo Tradition🤣🤣🤣 So I'm here thinking there's no way I'm doing this "NO SEX BEFORE MARRIAGE" THINGY Yet their browsing history is full of Porn, C'Mon NOW🤣🤣

Hello, I would like to meet Congolese lady for settle life together. I'm from Tanzania

@@CongoTalks243 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I think you represent many.
The Video is very General about most Women, I'm looking for specifics because Congo Women are like a different breed. The ones I've met are VERY STRANGE. First they won't HUG, they have all the Most Weird thoughts but something as simple as HUG won't happen, they all say it's Congo Tradition🤣🤣🤣 So I'm here thinking there's no way I'm doing this "NO SEX BEFORE MARRIAGE" THINGY Yet their browsing history is full of Porn, C'Mon NOW🤣🤣
It a disgrace to have sex before marriage in Congolese tradition. Boys/ girls friendship is not allowed.
So true
@@estajeanette7487makes no difference. once married , some cheat anyway. nothing special about that tradition

You don’t need game if you are a MIKILISTE 😂. Just pull up and the job is done.
Does the Congolese culture allow men to marry more than one wife
Yes. But it's mostly men with money do that
😂
No. It's forbidden by the law.
It's allowed amongst the Muslim population in Nigeria.
