Good job! However, Lingala has a weakness: The excessive use of french words. Over 50% of modern Lingala conversation content is french. Example: "I don't understand". The right translation is "Nayoki te" , but please ask 100 congolese persons to translate that in Lingala. More than 50% would say "Na COMPRENDRE te". This is killing our beatyful language.
Lingala is a lingua franca just developed at the end of 19th century by the gathering of swahili, kikongo, french, english and spanish people to serve colonial gouvernment of both Congo. As french is becoming more and more mandatory in administration, you see less and less native bantu words in lingala. But comparing DRC and Rep. of Congo you can always see the difference ans Kinshasa people were for a long time obliged to speak and learn Lingala at school. Thanks to music this language is eared all over the world.

Lingala is my mother tongue. Lingala words change meanings according to how you stress a syllable. For example the word MOTO can mean fire, head or a person according to which syllable you put the stress on. Fire:stress on first syllable Head:stress on second syllable Person:no stress on both syllables.

Umesema kweli lingala ya sasa imeathiriwa na lugha ya kifaransa, lakini nadhani si lugha ya lingala pekee lugha nyingi zime athiriwa na lugha nyingine hata KISWAHILI. Lakini zipo sababu lukuki zinazo pelekea hali hiyo kutokea, ahsante sana ndugu.
It is not modern lingala it is not exacly like that. It is juste most of the time when we have news from Kongo it is more about what is going on at Kinshasa. Kongo is more or less from spain until belgium. Try to imagine the erea where poeple speak and study lingala is in spain but the capital is in brussels 😅 it is already two countrys diffrent. The fact that Lingala is not at school at the capital it is the first reason why mostly Kinshasa dont speak a good lingala they just try and they put some french word when they dont know what to say. We called that (lofuezi) such of street lingala But I can sur you lingala still a rich language who is spoken in Équateur. I work with some school lingala. (Sorry my inglish is not that good I am from Belgium) Lingala ezali monuko ya mobala te. Bana Kongo bo luka koyekola munoko nabino. Koloba ba minoko yaba mindele ezali mabe te kasi bobosana te koyekola minoko nabino. Batu nioso na mukili bayebi monoko na bango. Ezalaki kaka biso awa na poto to yebi te. Tobandi kutu ko loba ba minoko ya bapaya na ndaku !!!! Ezali soni pona bakoko nabiso. Ba kufi mpo tozala na BONSOMI. Bo kanisa libula ya bana nabino. Oleka Lundula

@@trillfaldon9983 @Trill Faldon: there's a big difference between "hear", "understand" and "speak" in the English Language. In learning any language the normal process is hear understand and speak. I hope I can learn the language
You still have a lotta time to learn yaya
Omg, after moving to the US as a child, I had to learn a whole new language. The only reason I didn't forget how to speak lingala is 1. My parents spoke it at home all the time, and 2. I willfully did NOT want to forget. So happy I found this video 🙏🏿♥️
Munoko na biso lingala eza kitoko makasi ♥️
I can read and write in lingala and I'm 11 years old

Mbote! Na Wuti Na India. Just found your channel and in love with the language. It sounds so soothing and cool. Great job! Botondi for the lesson :)
Raaaa!! A beautiful language Lingala is from a Luo in +254.
Bote bino From somalia 🇸🇴 i love it Lingala
Lingala is my mother tongue. Lingala words change meanings according to how you stress a syllable. For example the word MOTO can mean fire, head or a person according to which syllable you put the stress on.
Fire:stress on first syllable
Head:stress on second syllable
Person:no stress on both syllables.
Person and head is Mutu not moto
The good one is moto
With such an overwhelming charm, who wouldn't want to learn Lingala through your channel Trecieh?
😂 thank you!
omg, thx! My parents are always speaking Lingala and French and I'm like I want to learn but I speak Swahili

In Colombia 🇨🇴 soutamerica we listen soukous that is sung in Lingala and french , although we don't understand anything we enjoy it the rythm and what transmit
Ayye I'm Congolese and my parents speak lingala French and English. I understand lingala but I speak French English and Spanish
How i love lingala and this is helpful to me. My blood get along well drc people and we have a lot in zambia coz we are one but most speak swahili and tetela, luba. Thank you mama. Na lingi yo
Classic Lingala is okay, but modern Lingala is sick of french words.
Exactly the same thing with any other language. Modern is killing classic :)
Umesema kweli lingala ya sasa imeathiriwa na lugha ya kifaransa, lakini nadhani si lugha ya lingala pekee lugha nyingi zime athiriwa na lugha nyingine hata KISWAHILI. Lakini zipo sababu lukuki zinazo pelekea hali hiyo kutokea, ahsante sana ndugu.
True we don’t speak Lingala we speak franlingala
It is not modern lingala it is not exacly like that. It is juste most of the time when we have news from Kongo it is more about what is going on at Kinshasa. Kongo is more or less from spain until belgium. Try to imagine the erea where poeple speak and study lingala is in spain but the capital is in brussels 😅 it is already two countrys diffrent.
The fact that Lingala is not at school at the capital it is the first reason why mostly Kinshasa dont speak a good lingala they just try and they put some french word when they dont know what to say. We called that (lofuezi) such of street lingala
But I can sur you lingala still a rich language who is spoken in Équateur. I work with some school lingala. (Sorry my inglish is not that good I am from Belgium)
Lingala ezali monuko ya mobala te. Bana Kongo bo luka koyekola munoko nabino. Koloba ba minoko yaba mindele ezali mabe te kasi bobosana te koyekola minoko nabino. Batu nioso na mukili bayebi monoko na bango.
Ezalaki kaka biso awa na poto to yebi te. Tobandi kutu ko loba ba minoko ya bapaya na ndaku !!!! Ezali soni pona bakoko nabiso. Ba kufi mpo tozala na BONSOMI. Bo kanisa libula ya bana nabino.

@Malik Sturm Knowing what they did and are doing to Kongo you would too.
i just found out i am 24% bantu from Congo after researching i found that i am from the bakongo tribe and Lingala is their language i look forward to being fluid in Lingala and Swahili as i practice it feels natural to me..
Also sounds like swahili, as well guessing bantu group.
@AGikuyu very true.
Wonderful, it's worth knowing, sounds easy to learn. I wish I could learn and speak Lingala. Congolese musics are incredibly loved and internationally the best in the world. That's the greatest talent God gave Congolese.
Crazy thing is close to 40% of what she covered is almost identical word for word with Luhya (in Kenya). I guess being Bantus mean we share a ton of words and phrases.
Am from drc and I could easily understand many things from luhya language !! You people are ours !

@@occupeparjesus6768 : There are Swahili speakers in Somalia but they speak a dialect called Chimwiini, Kingozi and Kiamu. They are ethnic minority. He could be from that ethnic group. Also other languages that sounds similar like the Bajuni language,

Rwandese are using this opportunity to lear6Lingala, and claimed tomorrow that, we'are Congolese.

Enough with the divisions.

I from Poland and first time i hear this language for my flatmate from Rwanda - this is Amazing tahnks for lesson, I hope i use there in futhure
Youre welcome :)
It's weird cause I understand the language but can't speak it.
@ Danny mastar : You must be # DUMB ! Because people who are born with a disability of not being able to hear and or speak are normally called ; Deaf and Dumb.
In your case you can hear but cannot speak which technically makes you a # DUMB individual.
Any objection or opinion ?? 👍😉👌
Trill Faldon 😂
@@SleepSounds514 Hey, I am just telling # FACTS ! It wasn't ment to be personal. ✌😆👌
@@trillfaldon9983 @Trill Faldon: there's a big difference between "hear", "understand" and "speak" in the English Language. In learning any language the normal process is hear understand and speak.
You needed not insult anybody for expressing their experience. He listened and understood but can't speak. How does that make him "dumb" or whatever.
@@vitust407 You are still # DUMB if someone speaks to you in a language that you say you understand but you can't answer back that technically makes you # DUMB, end of story. Otherwise better just say you don't know or understand. Because there is a fundamental difference between perception based "thinking" and knowledge based "understanding."
Someone who says " I think I know" is still in a state of doubt, confusion and still figuring out the correct answer and his final response most probably would be perception based. Hence not correct answer.
But someone who says " I know that subject. I understand it very well and can explain it fully and categorically". Then the second person statements of conviction displays knowledge based practical experience.
Conclusion ; perceptual thinking is devoid of practicle knowledge.
"Thinking is not knowing !"
While the technical understanding of subjects in this case a Bantu language means one is equipped with practical know-how and application of proven linguistic prowess and grammatical knowledge expression expertise.
Happy to see words that are similar to Kiswahili from east Africa.Moto means hot, water is Maji in Kiswahili.Similarities cos Kiswahili is Bantu language.I am from Kenya .Love Kilingala, very beautiful language and very musical
