The more I hear this guy play, I more I become amazed with his chops, phrasing, and tone. I'm digging that orange Schecter Strat style guitar. Man does he make it sing.
I saw Nick do this same clinic in Edinburgh and he used the Diamond Series version of his Schecter and he sounded just the same! I gig with one now and it's easily sitting happily on stage with my 2 Suhrs - but it is a LOT cheaper :D
I bought it, or the US nitro finish version of it anyway and while not cheap it is FAR more bang for the buck than my US custom shop Fender. May buy another one it is so good. Support this artist, he is the real deal.
The guitar playing is absolutely unbelievable. The feeling that it gives beats out any of these fast little players out there. But I think a lot of people forget how good the piano is. It's so stark and melancholy I love it.
I really appreciate what Nick does! A true inspirational human being. Shecter has done very well by getting Nick on one of their guitars. Wish he would play a Sun Valley some time 😂 ❤❤❤
What a sound by Nick Jonston, his way of playing within the harmonic field by chords, simply fantastic, a lot of technique, filing, and good taste in musical interpretations, without that unbridled frying that doesn't sound in musicality
Those are some delicate paws. Cool to see him play alongside other "shredders" with super compressed humbucker sounds. Then on comes Nick with tone for days. Love it!
What really opened the door for me after knowing scales, modes and chromatic playing is know every note on the neck of the guitar. Know the key your in during any phase of the song than just play!
This is what happens when you grow up playing metal licks and then evolve into blues as you mature. I could listen to him all day! I even just made a really close overdriven Morgan AC20 amp tone for my kemper.
I'm really a big fan of your beautiful music and style. Seeing you play is even more fantastic. But learning about you and your way of composing is outstanding. Nice knowing you a bit more. Way to go Nick!!!
different styles,Marty was a heavy metal guitar player, back on the 80`s and 90`s there were too many awesome guitar players,Marty for sure was one of them.
Heard hints of La Villa Strangiato by Rush. What an exceptional artist. Really injected a unique approach to playing guitar. Thanks for sharing your talent with the world.
The only guitar player i heard with so much dynamic since Jeff Beck, if there is one thing to steal, this is it. Make a lot of shredders really boring in comparison.
Without doubt the most gorgeous version of Remarkably Human I've heard. Just sensational. An endless stream of beautiful ideas. What a player.
Hes one of the best guitarsit of our generation. His musicality and articulation and sound is absolutely amazing
and a very decent human being at that.
@@ParishSouthwym decent bro 😂
lol
Yes sir!!!! He’s a sure champion!
This Kemper rig works so well for him, love his playing and music!
I've always been interested in his Schecter guitar but never seen him play. Just wow.... I'm BLOWN AWAY. he's something else. Totally unreal
Same here!

Hell yeah man
I learned more about what I don't know (I can't read music)because Nick explained the concept beautifully ❤
Creo que encontré un Guitarrista que renueve mi inspiración para tocar..
Fantástico, que misterioso suena
Me encantó!!
if there was one dude i wish i could play like, it would be Nick 👍 just unbelievable. love love love his style and tone!!!

The playing, the phrasing, tone, writing, all amazing
Never heard of him till a week ago watching the Mesa 35 demo.
Now Im addicted.
What a mysterious playing is yours ...... something is hidden in it .... god bless you
Hands down, this is the best content on UA-cam. Amazing sound. Just listen to that fucking sound. Damn.
Mind blowing. The tone, the phrasing, the knowledge... unbeliveable.
This guy is a beast! Such dynamics, tone and clarity in his playing
Nick is a genius! This is a new level of strat playin...
I really appreciate what Nick does! A true inspirational human being. Shecter has done very well by getting Nick on one of their guitars. Wish he would play a Sun Valley some time 😂 ❤❤❤
this guitar is extremely beatiful, the dark colour in the whole neck give it great look

I love this song.
Thanks for sharing the recording of this clinic. Nick Johnston is an outstanding musician!
Tone.......so Amazing...... Beautiful
Мастер высшего пелотажа!❤
FEELING AND PURE TONE,......FANTASTIC NICK.
The master of "touch"
This video gave me back the love for guitar study!!

If ever there was a guitar player that I relate to more with...it would be nick Johnston
Maybe i’ve been living under a rock for a while, but I never realised Nick had so many tatts😳 could listen to him for days, or multiple pandemics!
😂😂😂😂
Pleasant experience to see him live plying in the Music City, thanks Nick Jhonston and Music City
Nobody plays like Nick what a kick ass player and song writer love everything he does💪🏻👍🏻👊🏻
Amazing!
He sometimes reminds me of the Opeth guitarwork. What a player!
what a beautiful scheter love the color so original just like his music
The most unique sound. Best melodies. If he was doing this in 1982 we'd call him Randy Rhoads.
What really opened the door for me after knowing scales, modes and chromatic playing is know every note on the neck of the guitar. Know the key your in during any phase of the song than just play!
his playstyle is unique... I have never seen such an authentic delivery since Jeff Beck's good years
I love the way he plays on the guitar , soo sentimental and huge feeling skill
And his tone is absolutely beautiful
Jazz is one of the hardest style to play bar none...Great melodic playing.
This is what happens when you grow up playing metal licks and then evolve into blues as you mature. I could listen to him all day! I even just made a really close overdriven Morgan AC20 amp tone for my kemper.
Este tipo tiene Pura magia en las manos wow
Great sounding and soulful playing, which is rare nowadays, in the times of 'shops-lifting'. Beautiful compositions!
Nick is one of my favs because of his musicality and sense of melody. Very interesting video.
реально круть!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm really a big fan of your beautiful music and style. Seeing you play is even more fantastic. But learning about you and your way of composing is outstanding. Nice knowing you a bit more. Way to go Nick!!!
I am telling you all, he is the Marty Friedman of this generation.
You took the words out of my mouth, :D
Nick "jhonstone"
mucho mejor diría yo
different styles,Marty was a heavy metal guitar player, back on the 80`s and 90`s there were too many awesome guitar players,Marty for sure was one of them.
The Best, so inspiring! My favourite guitarist/composer right now (with "now" I mean the last 3 years haha)
The current Guitar hero!
Tasty tones right there.
what a funny lovely guy and great musician :D
ПРОСТО МОЛОДЦА!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A monster player. Among the greatest for me now in these modern days. Along with Julian Lage and Martin Miller
How good. Fantastic.
guitarist and guitar effect all-in-one, amazing
Superb chords sequences.
he is just amazing in playing and tone
Wow! Atomic orange🎸👍
amazing music - amazing guitarist!
What a beautiful soul!
The swell at 48:32 🥲
Don't think there a better low gain lead tone than a single coil in the neck of a "strat". His tone here is simple, but so gorgeous and articulate.
Heard hints of La Villa Strangiato by Rush. What an exceptional artist. Really injected a unique approach to playing guitar. Thanks for sharing your talent with the world. Keep'em coming!
Perhaps a hint of Gary Moore? NJ is my new favorite.
i embrace my big luck living in the same time like nick :)
o cara é bom!
Dobrá práce, doufám, že Vám tyhle akce přinášejí i nějaký zisk. Je super, že tyhle akce pořádáte.

Incredible feel .....
Lot of Yngwie in there.
Not the speed,But the touch and nuance.Percussivness and vibrato.
what an amazing tone he is getting from that kemper.
Actually tone hes getting are not from Kemper...thats Keith Merrows rig...Nick played through Mesa Boogie Triple Crown
@@jaroslavnovak59 He said he's playing through Keith Merrow's Kemper. Unfortunately he doesn't say which profile.
17:25 He is playing the Kemper
He mentioned kemper in the video.
@@CharfishDesign yes I watched it later...sorry my bad...i should watch things first before telling something 😀
incrível som dessa fera
I love this guy :)
Lovely use of space. Nice to hear the music, not the chops come first. This is cracking stuff. 👌

Espetacular!!!

unbelivable . wow.

Гениально Ник.
I found out about Nick from seeing his signature Schecter all over music sites and wanting one. Insane player.
Well, he is! And the guitar is sick, too!

Same, the guitar brings us here😂

Would love to know what kemper profiles He’s using 😅
More Gain AC20 by mepacheco, it is killer. I use humbuckers so I brightened it up a bit, but I use this patch for everything.
