  • Guided Meditation: Letting Go of Doing - Tara Brach
    Meditation becomes truly freeing in the moments when there is no controlling whatsoever; when nothing is resisted or grasped after. This guided meditation begins with a simple body scan, relaxing and awakening to sensations in the body and then including the play of sound.
    We then let go of any doing, and simply notice and allow the changing flow of experience, letting life be just as it is. In this pure allowing presence we become aware of the background silence that is listening. The invitation is to relax and be the awareness that is conscious of all that is unfolding.

    Thank you for your meditations. I love the words chosen and the meaning brought forth from within the space within me. I appreciate that this space is music and background sound free. The bells at the end are jarringly loud! I reach a peaceful place within the meditation and am filled with gratitude, however those bells undo it all for me at the end.

    You know I totally love Tara but truly her presentations & meditatitions are all much too long....much too long

      It takes me a while to drop in. I actually wish they were longer. I would prefer some 30 and 45 minute ones too.

      Meditation teachers tell us, if we feel a 20 minute meditation practice is too long. What we
      really need a 40 minute practice. I think there may be something in that !!!

      Oh wow. You could always start your own self guided meditations and talks without Tara. You do have options, maybe not the ones you want. But you have options.
