The homeless never get a break. it's always too cold, too hot, too wet, too hungry, and too broke, I don't have much, but I have a place to live and plenty of food, I feel for those who have next to nothing,
The summer is the worse
For most it's a choice, you can't want more for a person than they want for themselves..
Me too. And honestly if it wasn't for my father who lets me live in a mobile home on a piece of his property which I do pay rent on but it's not the rent like if you live in an anywhere else in the world or at least not in Southern California. I mean I can't afford it. Right now somebody that works at McDonald's making minimum wage in Southern California has a bigger paycheck then I do at the end of the month. Somebody working minimum wage in my area make some more money a month than I do. So yeah I get it and I've been struggling with it since 1993. If it weren't for my father I would be homeless because I can't afford rent and food. Heck I haven't bought a new piece of clothing in over 4 years and I'm a retired deputy sheriff. Do you know how humiliating that is? All I can think when I watch your videos is there for the grace of God goes you or I. But I sure as heck I'm not going to let one of them take advantage of me.
@@angelaame6148sometimes some of them are disabled and they don't have a choice because they don't have any other choice but to me this woman is clearly taking advantage of Michael. If I live in the area I would offer her a job and I wouldn't make her do her job. Then we would find out her actual integrity, character, and morals.

I think sometimes helping addicted people stay comfortable, keeps them from hitting their rock bottom who where they would finally want to get sober.
Totally agree!! Jessica looks worse by the day thanks to all the +Donations+. He needs to take a hard look at what he's doing and WHY.

I often wonder how much of the food he gives out is actually eaten. Have you ever seen a homeless addict die on the streets from starvation? OD yes but someone looking like a POW? Me neither.
@@dandydon6049 Not saying you're wrong but I'm sure that they wouldn't come back for more if they didn't want food so I'm pretty sure they're hungry and the food doesn't entirely go to waste. I've seen most of them use substances but also take in consideration they use these to cope , to kill stress not the way ofc but an addiction is an addiction.
My heart goes out to all these homeless ❤ my Aunt died from overdose few years ago. I seen her struggle for 30 years with addiction I can't believe she lasted so long on heroin and every other drug out there. We all tried helping her many rehabs and money ECT when she was clean....😢😢😢 I miss her alot. I pray for all these people out here. 😢 I understand the struggle. Some people just don't get it. I do

I used to work at the 99 cents only on Valencia Rd, and I met this homeless guy name Chad; he would go there to buy a small bag of cereal and a small bottle of milk, and the first time that I gave him a 5 dollar bill, his face lit up like a Christmas tree. He was so grateful for the 5 dollars, that I started giving him 3 or 5 or 7 dollars every time I saw him, usually every other week. I'm not sure if he does drugs or not, but he has mental issues for sure. But every time I gave him money, he would buy cereal, milk, cookies, snacks or whatever, and always was so grateful for the money. I don't get it why Jessica gets mad because you " only " gave her 5 dollars!!

I'm not going to lie, I'm kind of mesmerized by the 2 light orbs above Michael's head from 24:33 to 25:56. 1 is bright white and 1 is gold and the white one has a cool dot pattern and the gold one slightly resembles a smily face if you look closely
Those kind of acts still makes me have faith in the human race. Keep that up man, God will reward you for doing that!

Michael, You just keep doing what you do in your own beautiful way ... & for those of you who criticize .., there’s lotsa need & lotsa room for you to do what Michael does & do it YOUR way, this hasn’t been a short run of fleeting interest for Michael... he’s been at this for quite a while & is knowledgeable about substance abusers. He makes life a little nicer for many on the street even if their addictions continue & the likelihood of death at an early age may happen .., they are still human beings & that’s what Michael responds to 🥀...

When i lived in ft.worth TX it was bad there, I was walking to the store and they were doing what's called a cleaning and picked up all these homeless ppl...😢it was sad....
That's funny when police call for back up they get it but when people like me ask for help we get nothing. 😢😢😢😢

You are correct, she also has codependency (boyfriend) issues. Jessica weighs about 110-115 at the moment, When I first met her she was 170-190
There is hope. I have a friend or two whom recovered. I wish her well.

If my homeless ever cuss at me or complain about how much I give them that will be the last things they will get from me. I can’t believe that she thought $5 wasn’t a lot. When I give mine $5 they think they won the lottery!!! They are so thankful, because most people give $1 , $2 or nothing. People that give $5 are rare. Keep up the good work Michael.

I just wish the current government would do much more. Thank goodness they have people like you to assist with basic needs 😊.
The government has been investing in housing and other services to help homeless people and addicts but they can't help those who don't want to help themselves. It's so easy to sit around blaming government and saying "government needs to do more". Government can't do anything nor can regular people do anything to help people who don't want the help.
I don't understand Chris and his cat.... I know he loves her dearly but how fair is it for her to be stuck in a foot by foot by foot and half cage all day? What if she needs to potty? Poor sweet kitty.
He should give her to someone who can really provide a good home for her and make arrangements to visit every so often. It's cruel and unfair to haul her around day after day in a cage like that.
Michael says she’s feral so she would probably be put down.
I am worried about that cat too. That isn't humane. Maybe a shelter would be kinder than being in that bag.

Also I've noticed some of them expect you to get them stuff and they don't look as thankful as they are supposed since you are helping them out of the kindnes of your heart and is not like you are getting paid for helping them! I wish I could help but even though I'm retired we're on a limited income and we are helping my daughter and her son who has mental health issues so it is very hard and another grandchild has mental health issues so we've been helping the best we can.
