I purchased one of these exact systems from Amazon a few months ago after seeing how clear the video image is from this video so thank you.
Been up and running now without any issues at all.
I decided to make custom length CAT6 Ethernet cables for mine as some of the cable runs were longer than the cables supplied with the NVR. The cameras function fine on cables of 75 Meters
However, one thing I did notice was that the Camera's tend to stutter when in Night IR Mode.
I've figured out that if you log into each individual camera, click on "DevicCfg", Click Settings (The Cog Icon) and then click "Camera Param."
There is an option under there which is called "Slow Shutter" which is set to "Low"
Change this setting to NONE and you will have a nice fluid video stream from each camera in night mode.
Gazza excellent info thanks for that comment!
You're welcome, Hopefully it will help you and others with this system.
Thanks for recording a video about this system. Its nice to see what it is before purchasing.
Prairielander thanks for your comment.
Best explanation vid on youtube..Thankyou.
You're welcome!
great help in configuring the system thank you. sadly your version is last years so I think that much of your on screen help does not follow my new system 20/12/2017. however without your help in this and your other video I would have had a dreadful job to get it working. I hope ANNKE appreciate your low key, honest, presentation which sold me their 4 camera system. had it been a hard sell it would have been a turn off. I have written this for your unboxing vid too so thanks a million. Now system set up for 4 cameras one some 30 meters from the house.
+simon spencer thanks for the positive comment really appreciate it, Annke have no appreciation of this! Don't forget to like and subscribe!
Hi there I just bought the 8 cam system what did you press to change the days when you want the system to erase the old recording? I see you have it a 60 days. Great video by the way.
Hey I just installed mine today and I have a few questions if you don't mind.
1. Can I connect the DVR box itself wirelessly to wifi? If so, how?
2. What type of SSD memory should I purchase for the DVR?
3. How do I connect my phone onto the DVR to wirelessly see the camera on to my phone app?
Great video and very informal. Thank you so much in advance.
Thanks for the comment.1. Can I connect the DVR box itself wirelessly to wifi? If so, how?
No this is not possible
2. What type of SSD memory should I purchase for the DVR?
This is the harddisk they recommend.
goo.gl/ck5iB0
3. How do I connect my phone onto the DVR to wirelessly see the camera on to my phone app?
Go to this website:
xmeye.net
Register your detail and then register your DVR, then install the app XMEye on you phone and log in.
Geek Street I just gotten the SSD today. I got the WD Nas 3TB Red. Thank you so much for your help. I still can't seem to connect the DVR to my phone. I got the Annke Model DE81T. I'm really having a hard time to connect it to be honest.
Ok I will Ask I have the Annke DE81T. Where do you think I can plug that in?
+Ivan Florentino once you register on the website it just works should be quite straight forward but with anything these days you never can guess the issues you can come across. Give their support team a shout they are generally quite responsive.
+Ivan Florentino check this link out www.annke.com/kb/index.php?action=artikel&cat=8&id=124&artlang=en
Hi there. Are you able to change the lenses in the cameras provided with the setup? I would be looking to install 2.8mm lenses for a wider view.
Do you have the link to watch the cctv on my computer? Thanks
Very useful thanks.
Thanks for the comment much appreciated.
Do you need the dvr to b pluged into a router to b able to use the app?
Yes
@@GeekStreet 👍
Did you have to change the camera number that's overlayed on the screen. i.e. Camera 01, camera 02 etc.I installed this system at my house a year or so ago and its great. But they all say Cam01. Any ideas how I change that?
hey, do you have to put a memory stick in the back of it for it too record? and if so what size and brand have you used. thanks
+Dylan Wood no that's not possible.
Geek Street .
im unsure how to record then haha
+Dylan Wood it'll need a hard disk installed.
Geek Street thanks 4 ur help
Did you manage to setup motion detection. When i setup motion detection with my ip cameras it gives me a message "failed to get the configuration" .
Which cameras do you have? I have 720P and I'm considering up grading o 1080P because I'm having a few problem with cameras going into night ode if they are in the shade.
+Gordon Pilcher I guess it all depends on how dark it gets it the shade. Each camera has a ip address and you can log onto each one it maybe worth connecting to the one with the issue and try playing around with the device config options. Take screenshot of the default settings first in case you screw it up.
What if I cant see my 1Tb in there...? Is it burn or do I need buy a new 1Tb ..?
I have two questions;
1: I assume you need a constant internet connection at home so as to receive mobile alerts?
2: Will my cat wandering around outside while I'm away set off the motion detector or would it take something a bit bigger, like an intruder?
+garrigproductions 1. Yes, correct. 2. There are various sensitivity settings which may help with your cat roaming about but to be honest we have a cat local which gets caught on camera and it's not a major issue.
hmmm,...I only get any kind of internet at my rural location via my 3g usb donlge. If this unit could be networked to my computer then I suppose I could leave the computer connected while I'm away and set up a ping to keep the connection active.
But I only really wanted to get notifications when a human intruder sets off the recording, not when the cat is chasing a rabbit. Could this be networked to my Mac via erthenet though?
+garrigproductions not sure about a Mac but you can definitely share an Internet connection via a PC you just have to ensure the default gateway on the NVR is set to the computer sharing the Internet connection.
Is this enough resolution quality to see a car's plate number that is parked in front of the camera view or just passing by?
+Rafa Paz all depends on the position of the camera if it's very far you would struggle to see.
Let's say that theres a car parked in front of the cameras of this video, it is possible to see the plate?
+Rafa Paz yes definitely.
Thank you very much for your time sir!
Did you ever manage to see the recordings on your phone when you get a notification?
Atm all I can do is see live video unless I'm at home?
Was going to ask the same thing....
What are you able to do with the included remote control rather than the mouse? Are you able to navigate through the active live feeds and also playback previous recordings? I'm looking for a system that can be used with only the handheld remote and a TV after it has been setup via the mouse, etc. to view the cameras and review footage from a standing position.
+Curtis Shirley yes you can fully control the system from the remote control.
Are these poe cameras better than coaxial Cable cameras of the same spec. Are the poe cameras much clearer?
I've seen a coax 1080p and POE 1080p and the picure quality is identical. The advantage of the POE is that you can run a very slim cable and recrimp the connector back on. Also with some coax systems the power has to be close to the camera which can be a hassle. Personally I'd say if you can affort a POE 1080p do that...future proof yourself because maybe in 5 years coax systems may no long be on the market.
Geek Street thanks for the fast reply. I've had 2 DVR systems in the past month that have had to be returned for the same fault. That's why I'm comsidering buying this system. Thanks for the reply and video.
+litesnip11 no problem. Good luck. Don't forget to like and subscribe!
How do you zoom once you double click on the camera how do you zoom
hi what did you do about the rj45 connection from the camera as you mentioned crimping. did you drill a big hole in the suffix in the end in regards to your first video??? thanks
+nick hill I actually drilled a small hole and did crimping on the cable to allow a connection.
Excellent video, thank you so much for sharing. Two questions please, a) are you still using this particular system, are you happy with it? and b) The cameras receive power from the Ethernet cables I assume, but do they have batteries that will fail after a couple of years? Or just direct power from the cable?
Thanks for the comment much appreciated. I am using the Annke system and am happy with it. The cameras are Poe so power comes via the ethernet cable and no batteries are required. Hope that helps. Don't forget to like and subscribe!
Great. I'm wondering how long the ethernet cables can be. If you spot something on your cameras, it is easy to export to a usb stick or something to view on a PC?
This is from the internet:
Ethernet and POE both restrict cable distances to 100 metres (328 feet) between network ports
And yes it's simple to export the recordings off from a computer.
how dud y get the 4th camera to get off the NO CONFIG PAGE please help
Also, do you have a static IP address or does the system work well with a non-static i.e. coming in over the internet to view?
+Stephen E I have a static IP address on my system but in theory it should work fine with a DHCP address.
Hi, good video. I've just got the ANNKE system which looks 'slightly' but generally its the same.
I just wanted to know have you ever got the camera to work by passing the NVR via a hub/switch/router, as opposed to plugging the cameras directly from the back of the NVR to the ethernet ports i.e. NVR connected to router (for main internet) and then the 4 ethernet ports connected to a switch/hub, which in turn are then connected to the cameras by their respective ethernet cables?
Also, have you ever tried to connect the nvr to a bluetooth dongle to run the mouse and/or a keyboard?
Thanks
Ste
+Stephen E thanks for your comment. Interesting idea what are you attempting to do? Connect to a switch and install more cameras? I'm pretty sure this would not be possible an Ethernet port does not provide a voltage via the cable, I've just tried connecting my spare camera to my network switch and that did not power the camera on. So that must mean the NVR is providing a voltage to the cameras via the Ethernet cable hence the name POE Power Over Ethernet.
This would be possible if he used either a PoE switch or a PoE injector for each line.
Thank you for the videos. Did you run the ethernet cable through the wall then crimp a crystal on? Can you hide the cable inside the camera or have you used some trunking/junction box to hide cable?
Chris Hayward thanks for the comment. I actually installed the camera in the sofit at the top of house and drilled a small hole then crimped a connection The cable isn't hidden and is visible but too high to easily tamper with.
I have the Jooan 703 1080p 2 mp 4 camera systems and it looks like the menu its the same but I can not set motion detection region it keeps saying configuration erron when I click on the zone tab any ideas ???
Hi you skipped the most important section for me under settings and digital then the right hand page for selection of camera types
I have a mixed bad of cameras but can only find 3 720p cameras and one ip
I can’t find my 1080 p camera or any of my 5 ip camera and the page doesn’t give me the right combination, can you create a bespoke selection please thanks mark
I wish you showed off the recordings a little more in dept. From what i saw, it looked like it wasnt working at all. How good is it on playback for recorded videos?
xabo check out my other video it my help ua-cam.com/video/SHoYX8yFCWM/v-deo.html
Ahh, i think i got it now. The numbers on the bottom are the hours in a day, and you got the calendar on the right, yeah got it! Is there any way to look at exact time? like "21:30" etc? or do you need to just scroll into the correct position (time of the day) ?
xabo you just select the position. Easy really.
ok, thank you geek street, nice videos :)
xabo thank you!
Hi, we recently got a sannce security system, but we don't really get what the MD-interval option does. We don't see any difference when we change the seconds. Could you explain what it does?
Thanks for the comment.
MD interval: the time delay of DVR trigger after camera detects motion.
If you choose 30 seconds, The DVR will be triggered after the camera detects motion detection for 30 seconds.
Hope that helps don't forget to like and subscribe!
Geek Street We found that explanation as well, but still don't know what it means 😅. We put it on 180 seconds, but the camera starts recording immediately after motion is detected.
Lol...i think it means the time period to record after motion is detected.
If U bought another system same brand cam you connect it with the same log in app for 2 seperate NVR system?
I have tried a number of different systems where the NVR's have the same OS and the cameras were interchangeable between the systems.
Geek Street sorry so it doesn't work??
No sorry I mean it does work.
Hi Hello , I purchase these cameras Working all Well but i have problem with one camera not working
Hi there would you no why I was getting a flickering screen on all my cameras
Maybe the NVR refresh rate on hdmi display output!?
one thing you have to watch out for on these generic cctv DVR units is they burn out the power supply that runs the hard drive.
if this happens its possible to bypass it and power the hard drive from an external source as i have.
The best option is to scrap the individual power supply's that run each of the cameras and the dvr unit and just convert an old ATX PC power supply to power everything from one unit, they have enough amps in them to run multiple cameras im running 8, additional IR illuminators, the DVR unit itself plus you can run the hard drive directly from the pc power supply and not through the unreliable on board SATA supply in the DVR.
i have cut back and heat shrinked all the unused wires to tidy the unit up although you could just leave all the unused wires in the orginal ATX plug , soldered 10x 5.5mm jacks to supply the dvr, cams and IR illuminators and kept one of the SATA plugs to power the HDD.
To make an ATX PC power supply turn on outside of a PC, you just have to connect the Green wire to any Black ground wire, i have permanently soldered the green to a ground and put heat shrink on it .
if you have it on record 24/7 will the memory get full or will it auto delete old footage?
thomasl502 it should automatically delete old footage.
Can you record the videos remotely, say in another house?
+Leonardo Reis you can view remotely and you could record local you say an android device.
I was looking for something like FTP Upload, does it work, if yes, does the motion detection event work with it?
There is an ftp option but I've not tested that. I could do a video on that, what do you reckon?
Geek Street Maybe it's time for a "in depth" video ;)
+Leonardo Reis yeah maybe your right.
Hi mate how do you rename the cameras?
hi mate can u explain the icons on the screen ,i get a little white box with 2 half circles and 2 boxes on top of each other one grey one white ,,not sure what they mean
bogey man I've not seen that before. I suggest you contact their support team to advise, they respond quite quickly.
hey i see you were able to adjust the camera how seem like i am not able too.
and i am not able to connect to the web
Hi , does the remote android app alert you if some one enters the zones you selected for detection ? Also when using the pc version does it have to be on the same lan network or can could you use a laptop from another WiFi connection some where else ? Thanks
+banditman 1250 no the the android app does not alert when someone enters a zone but you can get it to send you an email. If you use a PC which is at another location you can log onto the xmeye website and remotely see the cameras. Hope that helps.
Geek Street yes thanks , helps me alot to make a decision , thanks , one more thing , u say I can log into the xmeye website and remotely view the cameras on another pc at a different location , can u also play back any recorded videos and change settings or is it just to view the cams.. thanks again
banditman 1250 I use the android app more and from there you can view the recorded footage and change settings. It is good but sometimes it is a little unstable.
Geek Street ok , thanks again 👍
banditman 1250 no problem good luck. Don't forget to like and subscribe!
Hi I have the same. System. I am. Having problems I have always only ever run one camera now I have two but its only recording one channel how do. I record both channels?
Hi, Do you have trouble with the cameras going offline after 4 to 6 hours? Since installing the system I have had to unplug the camera from the NVR and plug it back in. Seems loads of people are having this issue but no fix for it yet.
Jordan Haines that's a weird one. I haven't had that issue
It seems the company changed something on there servers that effected loads of customers. After about two weeks they fixed the issue by changing something on there servers.
Happy to report the system is working well now.
+Jordan Haines wow that's crazy. Can't believe that can have that sort of impact.
Having the same issue all cameras say offline? I've unplugged them but still offline.
How did you set this up POE wise? Are every camera connected directly to the NVR, or via a POE switch? Been thinking about buying something similar, but it seems to be such a pain in the arse to have ethernet cables going everywhere through the house to reach the router.
+Fredrik Harkestad all the cables go into the NVR directly. As long as you know where to run the cables it's not too much hassle.
Can it be setup so they are connected to the network, rather than directly?
Hi, I had an issue with my cameras, turns out the hard drive was broken, I think I've messed with some settings and now it's only recording a few days a week, could you please help?
I need help, my cameras aren't recording.
What should I do?
I did what you told us on the video, but it's not working at all..
Very helpful I have the 8 channel I can't get half of it to work on mine I am with bt internet and it will not work with it
Did you fix the problem ? i got the same issue...
What if i want to view one channel only an not all four but all four still record how do i do that
Do you know how to switch the infrared off on one camera only ?
+cbvsjs each camera has a IP address if you use a web browser to login directly to the camera then there are some settings where I think you can change the levels the infrared kicks in, best to take a screenshot first before you change anything is case you mess up the settings.
what setting do I go too too record only when detection only so I save wasting data on my hard drive, It makes it easier too sift through captures. please can some1 help me with my question
+steven anderson skip to 2.39 and check the recording config settings that is what you set. Hope that helps.
kind regards thank-you :)
+steven anderson your welcome, don't forget to like and subscribe!
no problem. done
+steven anderson thanks!
whats the minimum network speed for it to work on three cameras?
+crazymotorbikeman I've seen it working quite well on 3G mobile data.
Geek Street i mean like what internet speed is the minimum as i heard each camera needs 4mb
Geek Street i mean like what internet speed is the minimum as i heard each camera needs 4mb
+crazymotorbikeman do you mean internet speed at home right? I've got fibre and have 1MB upload internet speed at home and general it's fine even viewing in HD but when I'm connecting remotely it can be flaky sometimes but i think that's more to do with my mobile data provider and the location I'm viewing from.
+Geek Street I just did a speed test on my home internet and I'm getting 3MB upload speed.
does this system have audio?
No it doesn't.
For motion detection, is there a way to get alerts to my cellphone app when motion is detected?
You can configure it to send emails if there is any motion.
How you.connect the nvr to pc? What type of.connection?
Thanks for the question but you can't connect the NVR directly to a PC.
Geek Street where do you make all the settings then?
Hi! Do they still work properly?
+H16k0022 yes perfect no issues.
Thanks for this video 👍
+Eric Lassota no problem thanks for the comment and don't forget to like and subscribe!
I'm trying to setup my alarm so I can get notifications on my phone when someone enters a certain area so if you could help me it would be great
+Mohammed Gulfraz what you need to do is setup the smtp to enable emailing and configure a email account like gmail and in the recording options ensure alarm is selected. Hope that helps.
helo do the poe system have audio
+bogey man I don't see a reason why they can't have audio but this one doesn't.
can I set this up via WiFi ??
+Judy Burrell no it has to be a wired connection.
Thanks ! Can wireless camera's be added instead of the camera's that come with it, because where I want the camera's is quite far from my router ?
+Judy Burrell unfortunately not it's a fixed system.
Thanks !
Geek Street+ Great video, so what about cloud recording and is their any nvr poe security cam kits that offer free cloud recording as a bundle with the purchase ? thanks
Andy Lee thanks for the comment. I've not come across any systems so far that allow you to do that as part of a bundle offer.
Ok thats my next search right now, thanks for the quick reply
Andy Lee no problem, let me know if you come across any good offers....would be interesting to see what you come across.
Ok i will
can you add sound to the POE system ?
+purdy86 no unfortunately not.
hi thanks for information how to open agan the sistem if you forgat the password
am i able to watch my home with my phone while im out ?? if yes how ??
+Dan Herle yes...you need an Internet connection on your phone. The instructions have details of the app you need to app install.
Hi i have a Sannce cctv 3 cameras connected how do i set it to automatically screens changing every few seconds. Anyone help please thank you
What will be happening when the red lights on the camera turn on?
+MaZebra thats infrared so you can see video in the dark.
Does it capture audio?
No, none of these cameras had a microphone built in.
Could you show some footage recorded at night?
Check this out.... ua-cam.com/video/MGZ_wm9fFpM/v-deo.html
I have trouble with insects who active my motion sensor :/
can you make it go full screen automatically when it detects movement?
+Mac Pelao no it stays in the mode it's left in.
have you had any issues with this sytem...like cameras failing or anything like that?
Mac Pelao no 1 year on and all good so far.
Thank you.. I am trying to get the prices on their website, but in order for me to view their prices, they want me to create an account, but they require a business account which I do not have...so i can't create an account with them :(
Check the link in the description part of the video. It will take you to the prices on Amazon.
Bought the system less than a year ago through eBay and now only half of the cameras work and one camera is showing all fuzzy not a good system
The MARCOS I'm surprised I've not had any issues you should contact their support team to take a look. I had a strange issue about 6 months ago caused by playing around with the android app and 2 of the cameras went completely black, I contacted their support and worked with them to resolve and found that the android app wipe out some config values on the camera but I did eventually fix the issue i wonder if you have the same issue.
Your information is good, but you move to fast.😢
Hi does this have mobile push notifications
My region button saids not configured
do i have to make the username and password and how if you can tell me
+Ramses Munoz I think the default password blank. So best to set one.
how did you set your own password ??
post record is preroll
how can I reset my password. my account has locked me out. I don't remember my password
Tiene audio
if you have bought this product or zosi or annke same company from ebay or amazon it is dodgy and your extended warranty means nothin if its in the first month return it, it will fail.
This video is so slow I watched it at 1.5x play speed.
You are mad ........................
Pretty poor rundown of the unit. No real coverage on alerting (SMTP, email, etc...), access control (RBACS), etc...
