You know, I've debated clicking on cultish for some time now. And when i seen a suggestion for haunted cosmos i hesitated again but then i thought to myself i trust God because He has brought me through some dark times with demonic possessions in my past and it was really pivotal in my sanctification part growing out of the religions ideology in the catholic doctrine. And then realizing the heretical life i was living and God brought me out.. And after listening to this i am just really having a continued encouragement in knowing that God has placed me in the position of exposing deception and darkness in our real world issues, and showing the absolute power of God and His word through the testimony of my life. Not a story or a perception of reality which i call a God-centered life, but real tangible things that everyone is facing today and how demonic influence is fluid and creapimg into every area of our culture and society but God is still moving because im still here worshiping our Creator and King, Jesus. I love haunted cosmos! I’ve been a patreon member since they started. I’ve never subscribed to patreon before but couldn’t get enough of their episodes. This is awesome seeing them get together with cultish.
I am so blown away by your discussion, Bothers!! Thank you for helping me to see how important this is for the church to address, be sensitive to, and grow in love and His power

I just came across your channel discussing GOD and Christ with Mormons and may GOD keep you blessed. Using the Bible verses you do trying to show them the fundamental differences are spot on. And maybe it’s because I haven’t seen it yet but the Mormons I’ve had these same discussions with it takes me to get into Lucifer and the 2nd coming and how he will come disguised and proclaiming to be Christ. And then I ask what’s the difference between Lucifer’s belief who was given all the gifts of god and was so blessed but he wanted to become GOD himself and what you Mormons believe.
I was baptized into the Mormon church 30 years ago when I was 17. Just as the church teaches everyone to do, I’ve prayed hundreds of times to ask if the church is true. I’ve never once received an answer. When I left the church five years ago, one of the main players in my ward (very good friend) asked me why I stopped going. I asked him how he knows the church is true (already knowing what his answer would be). He explained because he’s prayed about it and received revelation that It was true. I told him I’ve prayed and asked hundreds of times if the Book of Mormon was true, and have never received an answer. He explained that I probably received an answer without me knowing it. He also suggested that maybe I wasn’t wording my prayer correctly. I explain that God would know my intent of asking whether I explained it well or not and that if God wanted me to know that it was true, he would let me know in a way that I would understand with surety. One day in church five years ago, we were in elders quorum. We have been having an investigator visit for a couple of weeks, but he was not there that day. The elders corm president told us the investigator had told the missionaries he was reading some literature regarding the Mormon faith in order to help decide whether he wants to continue going to the church or not. The elders quorum president begin lecturing us about not reading, or watching videos that were not church material and to pray that the investigator would not continue to read stuff from outside the church. That didn’t sit well with me at all, I went home and begin studying material on my own and based on what I learned, and my details from my previous paragraph, that was the last time I went to the LDS church.

No disrespect, but I can't take anything that this channel has to say seriously considering how bad James White, and fellow Christians, are afraid of debating Jeffery Jay Lowder. Christians are absolutely terrified of debating Jeffery Jay Lowder. William Lane Craig has been ducking a debate with him since the late 1990s. This isn't surprising considering how bad Lowder intellectually embarrassed Phil Fernandes, Kevin Vandergriff, and Frank Turek in a debate. Given how successful Lowder is at debate, it is no surprise that Craig, and fellow Christians, are shitting themselves at the thought of debating Lowder.
I understand it's important to talk about, but I also think the majority of Christians should just stay away from the topic. There needs to be resources like this for Christians confronted with it, but those of us who are fortunate enough not to deal with it, can ignore it and go on with our lives never even thinking about it. Scripture tells us to concentrate on good things and holy things, so do that - unless this is something you have to deal with. TL;DR I don't think this is a topic most Christians should give attention to.
Yeah I agree with you. It’s more of an entertainment thing for most of us, like watching true crime and things like that. But like you said, if someone is actually dealing with these kinds of things, they should watch and maybe it will help them. But for us who just watch for entertainment or curiosity, it’s probably not the best thing. I don’t think it’s sin to watch it, just that it can bring fear sometimes, and sets our mind on things that aren’t good. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is dignified, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, consider these things. - Philippians 4:8
Agreed but it's because of their lack of maturity. If they gain that then there is no issue. These are preachable issues. Therefore we must learn enough of it to witness.
They believe Jesus, but not God: Jesus said, “he that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life” (John 5:24). Those who don't believe Jesus came from God will certainly die in their sins. Jesus has said the Father has sent him numerous times, but most people think they can worship one without the other, which will be their downfall without repentance. Jesus said “he that honors not the Son, honors not the Father, which has sent him” (John 5:23). Jesus is saying all who reject his words, which belong to God, dishonors them both and will be cast into outer darkness; where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth (Matthew 8:12). Going against one is going against the other because they are one in agreement in all things (John 10:30). Repent, and God will forgive.
“Most people think they can worship one without the other”?? But you believe Jesus is not God?? So you’re saying you worship Jesus, whom you say is NOT God? Jesus’ words are God’s words. Jesus’ people are God’s people. Jesus’ church is God’s church. Jesus’ Spirit is God’s Spirit. But Jesus is not God? Yeah right. Isaiah calls Jesus “Mighty God”, yet you claim Jesus is not called God in Scripture. If you worship Jesus, and claim He’s not God and one with YHWH, then you’re not practising monotheism.
@@abbycrown Isaiah says that we will call Jesus the “Mighty God," nowhere does he say explicitly that Jesus is the Father or that Jesus is God. You need to listen to Jesus’ words himself and stop confusing the words of the prophets of the OT. The NT tells us, from the mouth of Jesus himself, that he is not God. Jesus’ words being God’s words does not in any way mean he is God. If I am a messenger for someone else, and they tell me everything I should say and speak; if I am in agreement with that message, I will it on behalf of the other. In no form does that mean I am now “that person”-I speak on behalf of that person. This is the same of Christ. He came to profess the glory of the Father, who is his God (John 20:17). If Jesus has a God-the only true God-as his Father, and he speaks on his behalf, that does not make him God. It makes him the prophet, servant, messenger, and word of God-just as the Bible says. No more, no less; no additions or subtractions. Do not confuse the Father for the Son, for they one in agreement, but they’re in no way the same entity or ‘part’ of the same entity.
@@Shawn-q3x So do you worship Jesus? Again, if you do, AND STILL don't believe He is God, you are not practicing monotheism. And if you claim you don't, you're going against Scripture because He was CLEARLY worshipped. Isaiah says we will call Jesus "Mighty God", AND DO YOU DO THAT? Do you call Him "Mighty God"?? Because you are literally arguing that Jesus is NOT GOD. What does Isaiah calling Jesus "Mighty God" mean? Especially when you read this verse: "I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me:," Isaiah 45:5 KJV Isaiah calls Jesus God PLAINLY, and he KNEW that he was to acknowledge NO ONE BUT YHWH as God. YET HE DID ACKNOWLEDGE JESUS AS GOD! “Yet I am the LORD thy God from the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know no god but me: for there is no saviour beside me.." Hosea 13:4 KJV John, Paul and Peter also knew these verses, yet they ALL called Jesus GOD AND SAVIOUR! And do you have this verse in your Bible: "But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom." Hebrews 1:8 KJV God the Father says TO THE SON, that His throne is for ever, and calls HIM GOD. Yet you deny it?? You keep saying Jesus was never called God but you're blatantly wrong! It's right there in Scripture! And these are Jesus' words Himself: "That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him." John 5:23 KJV Do you honour Jesus even as you honour the Father? Do you praise and worship Jesus as you, hopefully, do the Father? Do you render adorations to His Name, as you do the Father? The Father is worthy of all that praise and adoration and worship BECAUSE HE IS GOD! If Jesus said to honour Him EVEN AS you honour God, it's pretty obvious where He was placing Himself, by saying He deserves the same honour you give to the Father, who is God.
@@Shawn-q3x Oh yeah, one more thing. Who is being referred to in this passage? "Awake, O sword, against My Shepherd, and against the Man that is My fellow, saith the LORD of hosts: smite the Shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn Mine hand upon the little ones." Zechariah 13:7 KJV Who is God's Shepherd, that is also called God's Fellow??
@@abbycrown Jesus never once made himself equal to the Father. Isaiah said the world will call him “Mighty God”-this is a prophecy of what people will call Jesus. I love this show but the pitting (charismatic against reformed in most episodes is really annoying.) I am a pastor of a Charismatic church, we love His word and hold fast to it but we don't spend our waking hours talking about the reformed church.

Reading the passage in context of the book is essential. The book of Judges shows a descent into sin for Israel, reflected in the increasing ungodliness of their leaders. Jephthah is not early in that descent.
You are looking at this from the wrong angle. God detests human sacrifice and has made that very, very clear. Yet Jefta just tells God he will do this detestable, evil thing as if God is one of the evil false gods of those times. So God punishes him by doing the worst thing that can happen to anyone, He takes his daughter. She was his only child, which means his lineage stopped there and then - which was a horrible thing for people in those days. You might say his daughter shouldn't have been sacrificed to punish him, but what would have happened if God just allowed his enemies to win? How many people died in the battle and what would the long term consequences be if God made him lose to save his daughter? This isn't straightforward in any respect. Either way, it was a very, very harsh punishment that, as far as I know, meant no other Israelite ever committed that sin again.

“Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, *I ascend unto MY Father, and YOUR Father; and to MY God, and YOUR God.”* John 20:17
I love this show but the pitting (charismatic against reformed in most episodes is really annoying.) I am a pastor of a Charismatic church, we love His word and hold fast to it but we don't spend our waking hours talking about the reformed church.
Well if charismatics weren't so often a bunch of wolves then probably wouldn't happen
@@person6768 you’re taking the few that are famous and blanketing the whole… it’s like me saying reformed always side with the man even in abuse cases. Oh wait, that’s just the famous ones.
@@Jeffdurbla11What on earth are you talking about? You're a pastor??
Btw are you referring to John MacArthur there at the end? That one guy? That's your equivalent to the amount of charismatic wolves? Please explain what it is you're doing and come correct this time and try reading as a pastor of Gods people.
@@robertknight3354 I came correct the first time.
@@Jeffdurbla11 Ignorance. Absolute ignorant troll behavior.
Pastor Jeff Durbla........wow.
Right or Wrong?...Jephthah sacrificed his daughter to YHVH for a battle victory...and he allowed it
Reading the passage in context of the book is essential.
