I have followed many content beauty creators for years in years past and you are the only one that has lasted. I see right through people so I move on. Britt, thank you for being you! Your genuine nature is most needed in this space, you are one of two people I follow that seem real, and aren’t about being a sell out. It’s a sad state of affairs that those sell outs are getting tons more views, when they are disingenuous and frankly, snobs.

I personally love makeup content but I also love when content creators get more personal, vlog, or branch out into other topics. Once I find a creator I like, I will typically watch almost all of their videos even if the product or topic isn’t fully relevant to me. I have enjoyed your perspective on makeup and the products. I will continue to watch the videos and I’m interested see how your channel develops 💖 I went through a career change recently where I decided to stop farming for other people in order to actually advance towards acquiring my own farm one day, and to take better care of my body and health. It has been humbling and challenging in ways unexpected, particularly feeling unfulfilled in my daily work, learning to be motivated by the future payoff, and thinking a lot about my identity and what I want out of life. This video seems like a step towards something better for you, and I hope you enjoy the ride! I’m excited for your greatest hits compilation because I definitely have not seen every single video from the past!

Evolution is always a good thing. Being open and really listening to yourself is a milestone of aging. That is a big lesson I've come to learn. Also, loosening your grip on plans and certainty can feel scary, but it opens you up to so much. I love the hot and cold analogy. Do whatever makes you happy. Honestly I wear very little makeup and only because it doubles as skincare otherwise I wouldn’t even bother with it. I watch all your videos because I like your personality and honesty.

So this might be long. For starters, I love your videos. I’m not much of a beauty or makeup person but I found you because I was looking for clean and green products. I don’t care much for influencers mainly because I just don’t trust them. I was thrilled when I found you! I absolutely love your honesty and transparency. I think we are relatively close in age (I’m 45- oh girlfriend the hormones are no joke), so I’ve really resonated with you. And then there’s today’s video… I’m not a content creator but boy can I identify with so much of what you are saying. I recently went back to school because I too love learning and I HAVE NO IDEA what is next. I’m just trying stuff out and seeing what happens. It’s SO scary. I feel like I’m flying by the seat of my pants everyday. Thank you for this video and for being honest. It’s more helpful than you know. Good luck on the next chapter. I’ll be here for it!

Oh this applies to anyone stepping outside of their comfort zone, or really even just thinking about it- not just creators/influencers for sure! YES to going back to school. YES to having no clue. Honestly, even the amazing people I know that seem to have it all planned out have no clue, their external situation is just more socially acceptable, they're on a path that has been traveled many many times. It's the choice I've made, to take a path less traveled, actually I don't even know if it was a choice. I couldn't and can't do it any other way than my own. And you are doing it YOUR way as well. So here's to us, putting one foot in front of the other, following gut instincts and not knowing what's next. We can light each other's way with words of support, even if it's just a comment or two on UA-cam. :) Here's to a life well-lived. 💜

thank you!! funnily enough, I got a really nasty cold after filming this, stepped away from everything for a week or so, and then I missed filming again. Sometimes, I need to give myself space to miss things hahaha. Also, taking breaks = always a good idea. More peace for sure.
Well I am certainly glad you decided to publish this. As someone who is constantly searching for my “purpose” or trying to find my “passion” to follow, I have been drawn to your intentionality in what you put out to the world. And that is CERTAINLY something meaningful.
I am 42 (arguably also a cusp millennial) and sometimes wonder if the whole “you can do anything you want” mentality I grew up on was confusing and put a lot of unnecessary pressure on me…to the point I longed to be born into an 18th century family of cobblers, knowing what I would do with my life 😬 And no, I don’t have an unrealized cobbler dream.
But as one wise woman said, “It’s a giant life game of hot and cold”. Thank you as always for sharing 💖💖
I'm SO here for the 18th century cobbler family moment LOL. I actually did laugh out loud reading this. 'Meaningful' is a word that is top of mind quite a bit lately for me. Creating meaningful things, not knowing where it will lead, but trusting that little flicker of a feeling and moving a bit closer towards that. It's weird to slowly remove the guardrails and rules I adopted over the past erm, 20 years. But part of me loves feeling like a freshman again. To know others are playing the game of hot & cold with me hits home in the best way ever. 💜 Here's to always learning...and cobblers. Gotta love a cobbler.

Waaaaay back when I started, that is who I would imagine I'd be speaking to, one of my close friends. 💜 For that energy to have come across means the world and that connection you speak of is really one of the main reasons I've kept going. Happy you put this out. I'll still be subscribing. It seems like a lot of creators go through this, where they need some kind of upheaval bevause whatever they were doing has run its course. this is one reason I keep hesitating on being a creator. I was a creator of sorts in the past. But I just know if I go all-in, I'd be faced with and eventual "now what?" I know I'd start to feel like I was living life on repeat. I'm happy you are making some shifts and I hope the upheaval feels healing. I don't think it comes across as ungrateful when a creator is having success but doesn't feel fulfilled. you're donating a big part of yourself to serving others and to cracking the code of what will be useful to others... that's heavy.
thanks for saying this- yep, I see it too. We evolve as humans and that doesn't fit into a 'niche' as a creator. Ultimately what brings me the most fulfillment is learning and sharing with this community, keyword community. Both are at the heart of it 💜 thanks for your support!
