This looks like a interesting curriculum! I was actually looking at it the other week and I've never watched a video on this curriculum! Glad you shared this!
Look great! If I wasn’t completely stocked with Apologia textbooks, notebooks, and audiobooks, I would consider these. I don’t believe they had an audiobook option last time I checked them out.
Your family did MFW ECC this year as well, right? I know you didn’t use the science from ECC, but I’m wondering if you think (or would know if) this would be a good supplement to the Ecosystems curriculum that comes with ECC.
Yes. Think it would work well together. If your kids like animals, this is a fun way to get a bit of basic zoology in. As long as you don’t feel like you HAVE to do everything, it could be a fun variety between the 2.
@@CalmintheChaosHomeschool okay, great! They do love animals, which is what made me gravitate towards this…..oh, and the fact that we can use the audiobook version. Reading aloud wears me out!
The magic school bus books is more visual in that it has pictures and small bits of scientific information throughout the book. This is more a "novel" or story-style. Not really pictures, but more a story in that the characters learn about the animals throughout their adventures.
Thank you for sharing your experience! You are the first I have heard anything negative from, and I really appreciate you adding your thoughts on it. After using the zoology, I just feel like my kids are “beyond” this sort of science at this point. But they enjoyed it this year. However, this was only supplementary for us.
I tried the audiobooks for Sassafras. Worst. Ever. It sounded like the worst ever AI you can imagine. Really unfortunate, because the stories are good enough.
We actually did listen to the audiobook. My kids liked it, but it drove me nuts. When they started faking a Canadian accent… I just couldn’t! (Canadian here :).
Have you used any Elemental Science Curriculums? What did you think? What are some of your favorite Science curriculums?

Having an audiobook opinion definitely is a plus!

Also, we did enjoy the Usborne Living World Encyclopedia from ECC. Just not the other textbook so much :)

I have been so disappointed with this .There are loads of errors .I bought them all but they are not good or living or accurate .
