A little cable tie through the bungs for the side panels works a treat .. saves you buying 10 at a time .. trust me I know 🤣 Great vid showing the features 👍
Nice video and review .... thanks for the discount too. Just picked one of these up in Innovv's current sale ... together with your code the final price came down to just £234!! Already got their K2 system on my NT1100 but it died recently due to water ingress during a very long and wet ride (it came with the bike, fitted by previous owner, for some reason he chose to mount the DVR unit on the outside of the bike). This new system at the bargain price will be a great replacement 😁
I would be happy with either the k7 or f1 TBH. Downloading video no innovv app is a downside of the k7 but as I explained in the video you can get round this by the 3rd party app, but you shouldn't have to.
The price is currently £276.30 via your link & discount code The best place to put the GPS sensor is in front of the fuel filler under the tank cover 👍
I just bought and installed on a ‘03 Goldwing. The cameras won’t stay in place in the brackets. They move in or out and rotate. Yes the screws are tight and the adhesive rubber strips are in place. I’m about ready to rip it out and return it.
Nice looking kit. Quality in the 2K looked good, and would capture everything that happens, in the event of an incident. Here's a thought though - if the DVR lives under the seat space, then surely the shortest distance would be to the rear camera? i.e the 1.5m cable would go to the back, and the 2m would go to the front?
Yes you could do, but I was wiring it as per the instructions, when it comes to the way the video is saved, the rear camera is the 2m and the files are marked R and the 1.5m front camera files are marked F, you could change them if you wanted to but on the DVR you would have the rear camera files tilted as though they were the Front cameras and vice versa.
Hello! Can you confirm where you mounted the DVR unit please? I've got a 2020 R1250GS and am having problems mounting it without catching on anything, I think it's thicker than the K2 and K3 models.
@@gsd32i Just trying to get my head around whether I can connect my K7 negative/positive leads to a ThunderBox, whilst connecting the yellow lead up to a switched live - that’s with the white switched live lead from the ThunderBox NOT connected, as recommended by HealTech?
@@stags-gr8to Off the top of my head that should be fine as the thunderbox is connected to the battery for power and you can elect to simply have the power distribution being live when the ignition is switched on and the white wire is connected to a switched live on the bike. Thats the way I have done it ,as it means I don't have to have the bikes engine running when I want to have a look at my Nav display at the route etc .
We installed the Innov K7 on an Harley PanAmerica and the entire dvr box/cameras are overheating. We even switched the dvr with the second one we ordered and same thing. Did anyone ever had such an issue?
Unfortunately, you can't see the numberplates at Speed. Look at the cars going past you. You cannot see the numberplate. These manufacturers need to up the shutter speed on these devices. It's very frustrating. Even I find this with other deices
GSD321, I just looked at you review for the "Initial review of the new motorcycle dash camera from Vantrue, the Falcon F1. Is it any good? (ua-cam.com/video/bHtiCr0AHrs/v-deo.html) UPDATE 13-JULY-2023". [2k Front and 1080 Back] I also, watched the review "Install and first impressions of the Innovv K7 Dash camera | Fitted to the BMW R1250GS (ua-cam.com/video/SGcHyV6mtc8/v-deo.html) 3,038 views Jul 24, 2024". [2k front and 2K Back] I am leaning towards the Innovv K7 BUT I would like to know, what you think about the two Motorcycle CAMs?
Yes it is very good, the only issue I had was that when went over a bump the sensors would think I had been involved in a crash and would save the video onto the safe side of the sd card. it was coming on all the time so I ended up turning that option off, otherwise eventually it would have filled the non overwrite section of the sd card and there would have been no space left.
It is not a "Fit it & forget it" camera system. It is just a "forget it" camera system. Almost useless footage. Poor clarity on the number plates in a certain distance and especially in poor light conditions and shit happens at night. The footage is shaky even with the stabilisation on. It takes all the vibrations of the bike. The cable mess is also an issue. What's the point to make a small main control unit and then separate the GPS unit with more cables and an extra case, instead to make the main control unit slightly bigger and integrate the GPS unit in there? It would save the extra IPX case for the GPS unit also and it will be a lot smaller. Sorry my friend, but this is my honest opinion.
Guess it’s not for you then. The fact that the big Blue car drove into me and it’s on video would save lots of potential stress and hassle when it comes to the insurance claim / Police etc. appreciate your comments and thanks for taking the time to reply . Rode safe 👍

Speed read it as I was trying to clear a backlog 🙈 so the wrap around bracket is not squeezing the camera body tightly ? I had no issues . It almost sounds like the bracket is oversized or the INNOVV metal blocks that the bracket secured to is too wide ? The customer support I have found to be very good . Hopefully if you have sent them a photo or video of the issue they will sort it out quickly 🤞

...for the K7
I see that EIS/no EIS makes no difference really on your example footage. So what setting would be best for reading plates at higher speeds, 1080p/60?
I would leave it at 2k. But you would have to do a bit of trial and error.
Did you connect your Innov K7 positive/negative leads through your ThunderBox?
Hi, i connected to bikes battery and a switched live wire.
@@gsd32i thank you!

In tapping into the live wire do you not lose the ability of the unit to switch on if the bike is moved?
Wired as per INNOVV instructions all works fine .
